eggheaders: until we see the boko haram issue as a nigerian problem.and not a northern, southern or muslim and christain problem then there is no solution in sight.
^^^^^^

Still, that's not say or support that amnesty should be granted to Boko Haram for killing innocent people.

What should be granted those that lost their family members to Boko Haram?

What is Boko Haram fighting for?

.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Backs Amnesty For Boko Haram by saintohia:
.

I'm not surprise a bit. Tinubu is Muslim and part of a syndicate that wants power returned to the North by all means to position SW to take over from the North, hence APC. This is for the status quo to continue.

The issue is not if Boko Haram is ghost or not, since Tinubu, Sultan and other Muslims / Northern leaders know them, they should tell Nigerians who they are and their fellow sponsors by making it public through a national daily.

The bigger question still remains, if amnesty should be granted to Boko Haram, what would be given ( granted ) to the families of those killed?

Can Tiinubu, Sultan or any other Boko Haram sponsor ( or sympathizer ) bring back a single dead person to life?

Justice is what we're demanding and to stop any form of extra-judicial killing in Nigeria.

Human life has almost lost its value in Nigeria, this must not be allowed to happen.

A delay or injustice anywhere on earth, is a threat to justice all over of the world.

Anybody that comes to the president for amnesty to Boko Haram , should be arrested and prosecuted immediately.

What would the president give ( grant ) to the families killed by Boko Haram?

macjive01: The manner Presidential pardon is doled out in this country is terrible, history has it that thieves, oles, and convicts, whom are granted presidential pardon always turns to commit even bigger crimes.

crime Against humanity (starving children of God).

crimes against mother earth (£20 policy).

even, crimes against God (poisoning).

AWOL, is a clear example, we urge the federal government to ensure these, recent pardoned criminal are placed on 24/7 watch to forestall what happen in to 60's from reoccurring.

Is anybody contesting the validity of the above statements?

Onlytruth: If I am to go by personal account of someone close to me, then, the Yoruba could easily be termed the most clannish and tribalistic Nigerians.

The guy in question recounted MANY instances of Yoruba thwarting his ascension in his engineering profession. I would not like to recount all the instances, but he just told me yesterday that the Yoruba dominated branch of the oil company where he is working, just bypassed him on his DUE promotion. Their game plan was to get him angry so that in his anger he would do something rash and they would then instigate his firing. I personally told him to calm down and play dead for now. Their day of reckoning will come one day. I told him to read and meditate on Psalm 37.

Let me say this now. There is no way for Nigeria to move forward without a MASSIVE overhaul of the system. A lot of "parapo" dudes are sitting on top of COMPETENT Nigerian working staff. For me, the most significant reason why that system has to change is that the people doing this are mainly incapable and unqualified to occupy the positions from which they dominate and oppress other Nigerians. Let me give an example. Since the Yoruba dominate Nigerian oil sector engineering; pray in what areas has Nigeria distinguished herself in petrochemical and marine engineering? Is there something we dominate engineering-wise internationally, any thing? Why is Nigeria not able to account for the amount of oil she exports? Why is Nigeria still backward in engineering generally? You see, there is something Ndigbo call "ewu eri, ma okuko atu" -the goat refuses to eat, (or is incapable of eating something), yet will fight tooth and nail to ensure that the chicken never eats it! That is the height of wickedness and a unique type of corruption that must be fought to a stand still for Nigeria to move forward.

BTW such unique corruption will NEVER stop until Ministers start acting like Stella Oduah. cool

PapaBrowne: This is getting really pathetic. All these All Peoples Congress Supporters here should be ashamed of themselves!
If a simple regular fellow, who you all claim is a charge and bail lawyer could outsmart the retinue of supposed seasoned professionals in the All People's Congress, then there is no way the same set of people would be capable of dealing with the very complex issues that bedevil this country.

What beats my fascination even more is the fact that the followers of the All Peoples Congress have resorted to whining like sissies instead of owning up to the failures of thier leaders and plotting better strategies to ward off any potential threat.

I am a Business/Entrepreneurial Development strategist and our primary focus is helping innovative products/solutions reach market in its readiest and finest form! One thing we do on a regular is to protect our ideas and strategies from potential snipping by competition. Everything from the product name, segment, branding or even the our potential market targets would be totally under lock from even very key partners and team members. Only those that should know usually do know.

If at this early stage all I hear is whinning, then APC doesnt even stand a chance in 2015! apc needs strategists and not whinners if it must as little as win more than the current 10 governorship states that its politicians currently control!

PoliticsRe: Emir Of Anka Opposes Amnesty For Boko-Haram Members by saintohia: 6:07pm On Mar 14, 2013
udatso: Emir of Anka in Zamfara State, Alhaji Attahiru Ahmad, has asked President Goodluck Jonathan not to grant amnesty to members of the Islamist sect, Boko Haram.

Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar lll, had at a meeting of the Jama’atu Nasril Islam in Kaduna, last week, urged the President to grant members of the sect amnesty.

However, the Emir of Anka at a workshop on peace building and conflict management for sustainable development, organised by the National Emergency Management Agency on Wednesday in Kaduna, said “amnesty is for people you can identify”.

He added, “Where were our leaders when members of Boko Haram were going to receive trainings outside the country. Let us check ourselves, if there must be justice, we must go back to the basics.”

He also blamed the current security challenges on the elite and politicians.

Ahmad said, “From experience, I have come to realise that whenever you have crisis and a proper investigation is carried out, you always find the involvement of these two classes. Within my domain, a sad experience occurred sometimes ago when an Igbo man, who owned a shop, was attacked and his shop burnt because his son was said to have torn a copy of the Quran. But upon investigation, I found out that a native of Anka, who was also in the same business with the Igbo man, deliberately roped-in the Igbo family.

“He took a piece of paper with an Islamic inscription on it and tore it into pieces in front of the Igbo man’s shop and then raised the alarm calling on all Muslims faithful to come and see a copy of the Quran torn into pieces by the son of the Igbo trader. The crowd grew angry and set the house and the shop of the Igbo man ablaze immediately. You can see that this native of Anka did this malicious act purely for personal interest and not religion. And that is how it is with the elite and the politicians”.

He added, “As a traditional ruler, who lives with the people, I have come to a conclusion that if the common man is left alone, there is going to be peace in the land. But any place you find crisis, just look around, you must find the involvement of these two classes – the elite and the politicians.”

wesley80: Informative in several ways but I just keep wondering why it's YORUBA's that are bent on puncturing Sen Enang's claim! Have this guys ever heard the word SHUT UP before? Not even the "accused" Northerners are trying to with this much zeal, wetin sef? it's been one ediotically vapid piece to the other feigning deep knowledge but yet lacking the critical information on which to fault Sen Enang's claim: Who makes the real dough from the ND fields?
I'm indifferent as to whether Northerners, SW or Easterners actually do as the fact remains that the real people are being played for suckers but at the same time let the "Yoruba eggheads" with limitless resources and information fault the Senators claim with hardcore facts or Shut it. Field dey pass field and we know some of those fields mentioned are not being exploited so WHICH OF THEM ARE and WHO OWNS THEM? Segun and co should get the facts or bend over and shove their endless pieces down their other ends!
^^^^^^

And when they say field, we've got what's termed giant fields and a well lifespan.

Some fields ( wells ) can produce for 30 yrs + ( who run / own them? ), while some would flow for few months and stop.

They ( always Yorubas ) trying to prove Sen. Enang wrong, should remember some Nigerians understand the difference between these fields / wells ( the ones producing, reservoir viability, well lifespan, etc).
