Efforts to further enhance Nigerian Air Force (NAF) special operations capabilities have received a boost with the graduation of another batch of 20 Military Working Dogs (MWDs) and Canine (K-9) handlers, 5 of which have been trained in a range of special operations skills including rappelling from helicopters as well as tracking of adversary movements and positions in an area of operation. The graduation ceremony, which took place today, 6 September 2019, at the NAF Base Kaduna, would further improve measures for the protection of NAF assets and facilities as well as critical national infrastructure, like Airports, especially in times of emergencies. The CAS recalled how the NAF had inducted the first batch of 20 MWDs with narcotics and explosive detection capabilities. He noted that the import of inducting Special Operations Dogs in the second batch of training, was to provide the AP with the capacity to conduct specialized policing functions in support of the roles of the newly established Special Operations Command. The CAS expressed the expectation that the handlers, along with their dogs, having undergone intensive advanced K-9 training for 13 weeks (10 weeks of which were conducted overseas and 3 in-country), must endeavour to add value wherever they are deployed. He emphasised that the Service intends to increase its K-9 holding with the addition of 20 more Special Operations Dogs that would enhance the potential to detect, track and provide early warning of adversary positions while also exploiting the psychological effects of dogs on adversaries. “Thus, K-9 development is projected to be a force multiplier to the operational exploits of the NAF’s aircrew and ground personnel that would enhance the security of Nigeria and Nigerians”, he stated. Air Marshal Abubakar also expressed the appreciation and continued loyalty of the Service to the Commander-in-Chief, President Muhammadu Buhari, for providing the enabling environment for the NAF to keep discharging its responsibilities despite other contending imperatives. Among the 20 dogs and handlers who graduated, 10 were trained in explosive detection and 5 in narcotics detection, while 5 dogs were trained for special operations; the first of its kind in Nigeria. The ceremony featured practical demonstration of the capabilities of the Military Working Dogs and their handlers which included explosive ordinance and narcotics detection, tracking and arrest of suspects in simulated built-up areas as well as rappelling of a dog and handler from a helicopter, which was executed by one of the female graduating dog handlers, Lance Corporal Naomi Danjuma. Awards were also presented to graduating dogs and handlers who had distinguished themselves during the course. ifyalways:The church has to investigate first before he can proceed to the next stage... If the church absolves him of all wrongs then he can proceed and sue base on the recommnedation and witness of the elders and governing council |
Wallade:I feel like buying you lunch... Your words can heal wounds... So on point Sir |
oluwalonprovide:I feel your pain Sir. PBF is a great preacher, I am not a member of COZA but I have seen and hear him speak, his love for Gods work is precious, though his past sins may be catching up, but it breaks my heart seeing this... The kingdom of darkness are glad that a soldier has fallen and all the christians do is rejoice? Please take time to pray for him that he remains strong and come out better, stronger and more equipped for the task ahead. |
TANTUMERGO007:At least he has stepped down as the pastor, let the law and the elders investigate... he has done the rightful thing and I celebrate him for that |
Its well sir.... |
It takes a lot of courage to be strong especially in a time like this. The Senior Pastor of COZA, writes an emotional letter as he addresses the issues and reacts to issues being raised in the media... But this time, he didn't use the church letter headed paper as he writes from an A4 paper. Remember he has stepped down as the pastor in order to give room for elders to investigate on the matter. He seems to have disabled comments on his page in order not to cause unncessary backlash as he has been receiving. In whatever angle you may be, just take a moment and pray for him... Read below... We all heard the breaking news today of a building in Ita Faaji where the unfortunate incident happen where a 3-storey building collapse. According to the information being made to AutoReportNG.com, this is as a result of a digging within the area. We are meant to understand that there is a digging going on maybe from the Local Government or from a private individual, we can't verify that but it seems the digging affected the foundation of this building. It is however shocking and sick to see headlines that a woman lost her 5 children, this is a lie from the pit of hell. AutoReportNG is currently at Onikan Health Centre as at press time and we are yet to hear any of this story. 2. Rescue is still on-going at the site of the building, this is done with the efforts of the Lagos State Emergency and the Area Boys within this area... kudos must be given to these guys, they took up the challenge when the government workers are running back. 3. As at 2pm, more bodies are rescued from the site of the accident, according to our live source, 3 more children are brought out alive! So, where is the confirmation of a woman loosing her 5 children? Where is the proof and also, where is the woman? In as much as today is a black Wednesday for Lagos and for Nigeria because we have lost our bundles of joy, it will be neccessary to verfiy all stories before we jumped at it in order to make a new. Even if the story is confirmed, is it a thing of joy? Please, let's be ware of fakes news. It's 4.33pm and the ambulance services are still bringing in some rescued children. God bless Nigeria. - AutoReportNG.com Live from Onikan Health Centre
