peppyluv02: Did you all see the breaking news? Our very own Vatican was the target of an al Qaeda attack! They (20 of them)were arrested in Italy just before they tried to carry out the attack on the Holy See. These people are calling for a 3rd World war! May God continue to help us. May God help us. Am just hearing this though. |

Rich4god: EASTER SPIRITUAL APPETISER: Acts 9:1-20, Jn 6:52-59. What will you do if the Lord calls you in a vision and ask that you go straight to Sambisa force and pray for Shekau? Definitely, we would question that vision and try to reason out something. Ananias in today's first reading display a high level of faith to respond positively to the God's call by laying his hand on Saul. The famous story of the conversion of Saul, as given in the first reading is packed with information and with understanding about God's ways. "God's ways are not our ways" is one of those wise sayings that prove true to us at so many points in our lives. This is one of those moments in St. Paul's life. Saul was busy about his life of persecuting the early Christian Church and the impossible seemed to happen. Saul the persecutor becomes Paul the apostle of the message of Christ to the Gentiles. What are those things that come into our lives "like a great light from the sky" and change our lives? It can be anything: a teaching at a retreat, an illness that suddenly knocks us off our despondency, a sudden loss of job and many other things. We need to be open to the ways that God comes into our lives, because even in distress there can be a gift from God. Like Saul in today's reading, we need to draw strength from God as Jesus tells us in the Gospel, eating the bread offered by Jesus and letting God be the centre of our lives. May the Lord grant us the courage to stand with Christ no matter what it may cause us! Amen!! Good morning and Have a pleasant day!!! The bold got me thinking, is it always we boldly and confidently do what God asks us to do? I mean when we have decerned that yes, it is the Lord who speaks, especially when such tasks are the 'not so easy' type. We are most times more interested in the ones we consider rather easier and the one we are almost certain of how it will turn out. But it shouldn't be so. If Abraham was like this, he wouldn't have left his fathers land to an unknown place, and if he had not left, he wouldn't had accomplished the great task ahead of him and certainly wouldn't be the father of faith today. This is why I commend Peppyluv002 as she continues to preach the gospel of peace in sambisa. We should learn to trust God in difficult and uncertain situation while obeying his every command. He knows what is best for us and his yoke is easy. Good morning brethren and do have a fulfilled day ahead |

kay1one2: The wealth gap between the popes and the populace was so bad it inflamed the embers of the reformation! So bad! The church needed a reformation and it got it mainly because most of the policies of the catholic church then were not founded on the Bible. E.g saying the communion was the exact body and blood of Jesus and purgatory and that people could pay fees to have the priest or pope cleanse them from their sins! Hmmm On the contrary, saying the communion is the actual body of Christ is biblical except you are ready to show me where the bible said it's a mere symbol. The Church preaches purgatory which I also believe in from the Bible Maybe you should study more about that fee collection ish, was it a church teaching or dogma or was it a form of corruption by some priests. |

PastorOluT: Smile, this shows the insincerity of the Roman catholic. When did he say these things, was it before or after he broke away from Roman catholic? Isn't it surprising you don't know Luther isn't against honouring Mary and even preached her immaculate conception even as a protestant? |

dealslip: Unfortunately every decision will affect you and me whether we like it or not. Everything US touches disintegrates instead of progressing. GEJ didn't want to plunge Nigeria into chaos like Ghadaffi and Mubarak. They are looking for Ghadffiin in Libya now but they can't find him. The democracy USA gave them is chaos and. Confusion and with no direction. Here Mr. Buhari wants to romance them I wish someone can hammer the bold into Mr Buhari's head |

Doing this not only makes Nigeria dia puppet,it makes the whole Africa You are very correct. But if he is not brave enough to go against. US when it is necessary, (something our so called clueless president did) why then are we shouting he is a brave army general as strong as olumo rock when he is even more clueless than GEJ? |

Is it right for a Christian especially a Catholic to loan money to someone with interest or to take up money lending as a business?

RoyPCain: @Ifeann:
ode ni iwo omode yi. hopefully you can read yoruba since you said you have learned french. at least the yoruba in your family aught to shame you to learn it. as intelligent as you think you are, worldly too, you have not demonstrated it. i am not surprised you ended up in poland or finland because their languages are useless to the nigeria of today. the same warped idea you have here in your accusation, someone will use the same logic to accuse of having sex with a child, if i were to have sex with you because you have displayed the acumen of that age.
i am sure the women spared in war are still women and spoil of war is not only money, but humans, too, as Moses and other israel prophets have shown in the bible. war zone without any system to support lives, is not a place you leave people, while as slaves of the conqueror they will be better of. could you show me where and when and who was raped and the rapist? if you can not provide names, you are deemed a freaking liar.
when some group raise an army against you, the moment you are on the battle field, until one party surrenders the battle rages on. incidentally, the muslims didnt decisively win in hud. the badr where they won, they allowed the pagans to retreat. if genocide is banu kainukah or banu nadir, i wonder if you expected the prophet [SA] to let the treacherous people off, especially when they agreed to the decision of the ansari [RA] who judged according to deut. 20/10-14? its your book and if you don't know what Yahweh said, how come you are only blaming Muhammad [SA]?
killing the enemies of Allah and believers, whether a person or family, does not matter. whoever deserves death because of act of treason deserves it. no person was killed as a revenge of self. my sons are the males that came from my loin. what i adopted is never my blood. and when Allah cancelled the act of taking other people for yourself and wiping out their natural lineage from them, if adoption is exposed to its truth, your anger is worthless.
evidently, you have not studied anything about Islam. you just copied and past based on your hatred of islam passed down from those alive before you. perished are the end of the enemies of God. The bold is one big problem your religion poses to the world 'today'. The day you people learn to stop fighting and killing people for Allah, the world will become peaceful. So your Allah is too weak to fight his cause that you muslims should go around shouting Allahu akbar and killing unbelievers and unfortunately every non muslim is an un believer to you. And then you call us islamophobes and tell us islam is a religion of peace. Smh Again you know the stand of the Koran when you kill an unbeliever differs to when you kill a believer so don't make it seem same |

truthman2012: ''....Muhammad was far worse''. Me took have the same opinion o!
He not only did those attrocious acts, he enjoined the followers to do same.
Go to the North, you will see more of such disgusting things: killings, child marriage, exchange of wives, temporary marriage etc. Islam is terrible. When did God become that unholy? I tell you, allah is a strange god. Maybe your use of "exchange of wives" is subject to interpretation because I never saw or heard of such in Islam, neither in the north nor anywhere else. On the contrary, in the North here in Nigeria, muslim wives are more like wilful prisoners who are not allowed to show their face to any man except their husbands. Not even their father-in-law. They are not even allowed to come out during the day, as if they committed a crime and are hiding. |

I don't know what will happen. Guy shift joor....you are not serious at all, and your pride won't help you. You are busy asking pastors to pray for her to return when your pride won't let you do the simply act of walking up to her and apologise. You are seeking for a miracle that won't happen simple! Be man enough and humble enough to go to her and ask for forgiveness, You want her to miraculously come back so that tomorrow you will tell her how she can't do without you? Smh Am not against you praying but if you are too proud to beg her, forget her and move on. She deserves someone better Am not sure you are really going crazy else you will be calling, texting or visiting her instead of wasting your time here. |
