joseph1832: This is what am saying, so Charlie Hebdo regal in the euphoria of insulting religion. They're insulted christianity, did the christians engage them on a killing spree? NO!!!.
When it came to Islam, mayhem ensue, I must say the way this moslems react to their religion is gut wrenching annoying. When it comes to radicalism, islam and muslims has the upper hand. No Christian will kill another person for insulting his religion, though such insult maybe hurtful. But you can't say same for muslims. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Charlie Hebdo: French Cultural Centre In Niger Set Ablaze by SalC: 8:23pm On Jan 16, 2015 |
Now this is what I hate about some muslims, the muslims in Niger are burning cultural centres and churches in their country for what charlie Hebdo did in France as if Charlie Hebdo is the government of France. When will these muslims hold rallies denouncing what boko haram is doing in Nigeria? what will it sound like if the Nigerian Christians begin to burn down mosques in Nigeria because Iran burned 3000 bibles?
And when they are called a violent religion, they cry foul. I don't support what Charlie hebdo did but that's isn't enough reason for muslims to kill people and burn churches. What the hell has those churches got to do with Charlie hebdo?. |

RedSeaKing: Too much trolling by none-Muslims. How come Muslims don't troll your topics but as soon as you see a topic about Muslims or Islams you lot panic and start allowing your insecurities to dominate your heads?
Calm down guys and let Muslims talk about their religion and with each others if its not your cup of tea.
Cheers. Then they should take your topics to islam for muslim quarantined section. |

He said "you cannot insult the faith of others" and you take it to mean "you cannot insult the prophet of others" while your thread title reads "Pope Francis said "you cannot insult prophet mohamed" Do you see how far you are twisting his words? In as much as I believe the pope is right, I want to state that your thread title is greatly flawed. The pope didn't mention Mohammed in particular and you singling him out is simply misconstruing the Pope's words. Charlie Hebdo as we all know take so much pleasure in insulting peoples' religion not just muslims. Few weeks before the mohammed's cartoon, they also published one of their magazine with cartoons insulting Jesus and Mary, maybe you will also want to know of their ish the Catholic church all along. http://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/01/08/world/europe/charlie-hebdo-broke-taboos-defying-threats-and-violence.html?_r=0&referrer=^^^The Catholic church alone has sued Charlie Hebdo 14 times. So you see, the pope's comment cuts across many religion not just mohammed. And yes he is right, freedom of speech is not a licence for one to insult what the other holds dear. And yet he started by decrying the killing of the cartoonists because though the cartoon may have provoked muslims, it doesn't justify the killing of those guys. |

Rich4god: As an individual, he didnt... But as a priest standing on the pulpit as at the time of his statement, its kinda awkward talking down on a leader in a childish manner. Even as a priest I won't be too bothered if this has always been his stand, my worry was the fact that he praised the president when his wife came to the prayer ground but barely one month later he said the opposite. If he said his later comment was a massage from God, where was his first praise from?. That made him seem like a double edged sword, and was probably doing some eye service the day the first lady visited. Smh |

Ubenedictus: a total rejection of "devotion to mary" is sufficient reason to be denied the sacramental life.
It is not a must one says the rosary, but devotion to mary and the saints is an intrinsic part of catholicism. Tough one! Will keep talking |

paulGrundy: You may be right though. I tried sourcing of anglicans 2014 statistics, but I couldn't get a hold of it. I only got access to her 2008 statistics which puts her membership at 18m. But one thing is certain, Nigeria has the highest number of Anglicans in the world. Yeah the bold is true, the site below placed the present statistic at 20m and yes its the largest in the world https://frbkirk./2010/04/24/anglican-membership-numbers-worldwide/ |
