Ok so if you wanna change colour you write thus

Vest[/color

If you close it with this ] you are good to go.

If you want to increase the font size, write thus
Vest[/size
Close with this ]

Note that you can always choose any colour like green, blue, pink. Etc just place them where you have "red" above.

You can also chose any size, not just 20. Eg the 'cool' in my post above is sized 30.

Joagbaje:
MY FULL RESPONSE

i will summarize . Jeff testifies of being healed of HIV. Actually That's about 2years ago or 3. I asked for his medical records he said he could get it within the week. And I assumed he had. I sought his consent on the testimony being shared online . He consented . I asked for the editing of the video .which was done . And a Clip from from the particular programme which Jeff mentioned. Was presented which actually fit Jeff story and also looked like him to a great extent. Except that the other guy looks very sickly and lean which could also be attributed to the ailment . But to be very sure . The video link was sent to jeff on whatsapp to verify if he watched the video and if he was the one being prayed for And he affirmed , so that clears me of any deliberate manipulation . I can send the screen shot of the whatsapp conversation to Gombs if he could post it for me. Sir john also saw the chat because I posted the screen shot to him also. That's that about the Video.

Then concerning his healing. Noe Somebody may ask why i didn't insist on seeing the medical report.the answer is simple I know beyond doubt that the person I prayed for in that video was healed . So the issue is was it Jeff?. And Jeff confirmed he was. So I had double assurance . The witness of the spirit in me on the day of prayer and Jeff affirmation. My shock came when Jeff's pastor watched the video and said it's not Jeff and he gave the video to Jeff and said Jeff said he's not sure it's him. I gave the development feedback to Sirjohn that they said it's not him. And Sirjohn told me that Jeff had admitted to him before also that he watched the video and that he was the one. Sirjohn even posted the audio of the conversation. And he warned that he doesn't trust Jeff .

On why I was not keen on being the one to present the medical evidence . Firstly Because some people here will claim it's manipulated . I prefer the investigators to talk with the testifier and ask him for proof of his healing . And also because of my previous discussion with Sirjohn. He had ask if I can present any miracle through prayer ,he would travell there to investigate and talk with the Neighbours and relative and medicals . So I left the investigation for Him.

So I gave the challenge. For john to find out if this miracle was staged or a fraud as they claimed. I gave the phone number of the guy with the understanding that he had his papers now. When john told me the guy didn't have them , I called him to ask. He said he is now living in delta. And he is out of job. He didn't even have money to go and get the records. I asked for his account no. I sent 30,000 to him.and later another 10,000. Sirjohn will bear witness that the guy sometimes doesn't pick calls for days . I dealt with john with all transparency . Jeff claimed he got his doctors report from of of the doctors who had been transferred to Owerri. But he said they were robbed on the way and he had to go back and start all over. I agree to still give him even if it's 100,000 . To avoid. Story. Sir John was even warning me . That the brother may be taking me for a ride. While we are still waiting for that . I introduced his pastor to john who knew about the history of his ailment .

Finally I had to get his pastor and his ex Fiancee to go to one of the hospitals to get the record of his first test of HIV positive which was sent to Sirjohn. There were 3 hospitals where he said he had test. They've not been able to get the one for HIV negative. He was to go to owerri again . His pastor finally concluded Jeff should do another test now. And he later called me that Jeff travelled. I've called him and sent message . So I'm waiting for the other reports and feed back. And he finally present them . They should be well Scrutinized for any falsehood. And there need be . Jeff can be compelled to do fresh test. If there's anything else I remember I will re post. That's it for now.
You have started again @bold

Jo stakes a whole half a million. He's damn sure of his claims.

The million dollar question is, why will Jo stake so much on a claim he never verified?

The answer seems obvious. He has no idea how tithers sweat so hard to get the money he's willing to dash out.

The above quote is why I said he sounded too sure. He wanted everyone to believe it was a verified miracle. That's why its surprising to know he never set his eyes on the medical report nor did he step his foot on the said Federal medical centre.

Hmm.....

You must think we are lunatics here.
When Joe was bragging of healing the fellow in question and abusing everybody else who countered that claim, the Jeff fellow was not deceiving him.
Now that there is evidence contrary to the said claim you come here spinning dead yarns about deceiving.

When Jesus cleansed the 10 lepers snd only one returned, he asked the returnee to show himself to the priest to certify that he indeed was clean. How come "pastor" joe couldnt verify that the said claim of healing but went about shouting down any dissenting voice to the healing claim with the approval of his cohorts?
I don't know why you are sounding like this, am yet to read the said thread. I am not here to defend Joe and I never said I believe him. I only said "I want to believe him" that's if he can give me convincing answers to the questions I asked.
From the excerpts I read so far, he sounded very sure of the healing and the guy himself. Why is he now telling us some cock and bull story?
Christianity Etc › Re: Joagbaje’s Miracle HIV Healing Claim Debunked by SalC: 5:54pm On Nov 13, 2014
I want to believe Joeagbaje didn't know the guy was lying. But what I don't understand is why joe could go as far as daring people again and again to go verify a miracle he himself did not verify, why would he ask people to go to an FMC to verify a case he himself did not go to ascertain the accuracy of their medical report, infact a medical report he did not even set his aided or unaided eye on. Why would he stake his hard earned half a million naira on something he isn't sure of?

That's a big mistake on your part Joe, I hope you'll be more careful next time.

"In another exhibit, you can see the mark left on the copy of The Imitation of Christ that
belonged to Margherite Demmerlé of Ellinghen Parish in the Diocese of Metz by her mother in-law. She appeared to Margherite in 1815, 30 years after her death in 1785, dressed as a pilgrim in the region’s traditional dress. She was coming down the stairs with a sad face,as if she were looking for something Margherite told her parish priest. When Margherite asked her who she was, she answered, “I am your mother-in-law who died in childbirth 30 years ago. Go on a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Mariental and have two Masses said for me there.”
When Marguerite asked her for a sign, she put
her hand on the copy of The Imitation of Christ
her daughter-in-law was reading and left burn
marks of her fingers. After Marguerite made the pilgrimage and the Masses were said, she
appeared to her again to tell her that she had
been released from Purgatory. This was all
documented by her parish priest."

I was born in Lagos and practically lived all my life here. The occasional visits home saw me pay homage to the deity of my fathers. I lost interest in going home because of the discord that exists in my grand fathers house. If I go today, every member of the family would welcome me but about 80% of the welcome party wouldn't mind seeing my head on a stake. grin
The bold got me laughing, I believe paying homage to these dieties isn't compulsory, maybe they were able to convince you then but you know better now so that's no longer an issue. As for some wanting to see your head on the stake, that could be because they probably look at you as a lost son who intentionally preferred being lost. But then they can only wish, all you need is to tread carefully and you will surely jump and pass cheesy

You still have not answered my questions. I requested that you show me:

1. What particular traditions did the early Christian apostles stat, that didnt have any backing (implicit or explicit) from either the OT or Christ Teachings? (the lord's supper was started by christ).
Hehehe, I don't know what you take to be tradition, but taking a look at the action of the apostles, we can discovered they went against existing traditions and instituted something new and maybe even strange or alien to the old testament

Let's use circumcision as example, In Gen 17:10 God clearly commanded Abraham thus, "You and your descendants MUST all agree to circumcise every male among you". If you continue to vs 11-12 you discover even slaves born into the househood of their master are included in this covenant, but the apostles preached and practised the opposite which invariably is introducing or starting a new tradition, Act 15, Gal 2:3-4, Gal 6:15. a tradition which undermines circumcission. So yes the apostles did start a new tradition which we couldn't find anywhere the were commanded to do so either by Christ's teaching or revelation, atleast we didn't read that in the scriptures. So unlike the commandment God gave to Abraham which made circumcission compulsory, the apostles started a tradition which doesn't make circumcision compulsory, to which Paul himself never bothered to have Titus circumcised . Gal 2:3.

All the pharisees cannot literally sit on one seat of Moses, so Jesus meant position of authority as custodians of the law of Moses, just like Moses himself. (and this is not a doctrinal tradition for christians, neither was it started by Christians).
Don't know what this is all about.

2.What is the scriptural Bases (either implicit or explicit) for teachings such as purgatory, celibacy and praying to saints?
The implicit or explicit basis of those are there in the scriptures
Purgatory 1 Cor 3:15, celibacy Matt 19:12. Praying to saints or asking saints to pray for us, We ask them just like you ask your pastors and others to pray for you.

Like i said before, most of what d apostles wrote were explanations on the OT prophecies/psalms, expansion of the teachings of Jesus, and further relations giving to them by Jesus through the holy spirit. At least Paul quoted Jesus as saying there is more happiness in given...(which is not contrary to Jesus teachings on giving as found in the gospel), but whom do you (Catholics) quote on backing ur traditions? (church fathers?)
Catholics quote the Scripture as well as the church fathers who practised and upheld the Scriptures and traditions.

On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” John 7:37-38

Aren't we thirsty still of God's life giving water? The moment the samaritan woman discovered the truth of this life giving water, she BEGGED Jesus to give this water to her that she will be thirsty no more. Yet here Jesus himself offers us this without restrictions, all we need do is walk up to him in faith and DRINK.

He who called and offered to us this is faithful enough to satisfy us if we humbly come to him. Our thirst may differ as some of us thirst and hunger for a greater faith, some thirst and hunger for righteousness, some thirst to know God the more, some thirst to commune better with him, some thirst for more material blessings, the thirst is endless.....,but the Good news is JESUS IS ABUNDANTLY ABLE TO SATISFY US ALL.

All we need do is "COME"......Just take a step with faith...

Good morning brethren and do have a fulfilled day ahead smiley

so they compiled some 66 and some 73? And which are the questionable ones they added?

What do you know about KJV bible?
They compiled just one bible which contains the 73 books and remained so for the first 1500years of the existence of Christianity till Martin Luther came and remove the ones he feels like removing both in the old and new testament. Leaving just 66 books and even less.

Oh King James bible? I remember the first and earlier translations of king james version contains the Apocryphal books, so what do you know about it?
