Now this is called Eucharistic miracle, not even the scientists can explain it.
The eucharist is not a symbol but truly the body of Christ, He said so, I believe him and day after day he keeps proving it! |

babestell: I wasn't judging yet. Just wanted to understand why people will take a chance like that.
I have colleagues who are AS with their spouses and apparently there is a test you can do to confirmfif the foetus is SS. If the test is positive you may choose to abort the baby. Apparently a lot of people are making use of this option True, there is, but no true Catholic will rather make a decision whereby you end up having to go for abortion somehow, Again, how many abortions will they possibly have in life, I once met a family who brought their SS child to the hospital because she was in crisis. Surprisingly this family has four children all SS. Assuming these people chose the abortion option (CVS), this woman would have had four abortions already right? So what then is the joy of such constant abortions? Maybe your friends have decided to adopt instead, because if they are really Catholics like you said, they won't want to go through the test and abortion option. I believe they have a better plan. Am not surprised, it's likely higher than that. At our heart to heart centre alone, one will fret seeing the number of people who turn up on our clinic days. The number of carriers is increasing by the day and most times I think they intentionally keep the real statistic away from the public for some reasons. (Greed and selfish reasons). |

babestell: Question for the house
I heard a story of a some friends who are getting married today, however they are both AS. I know the 2 of them as staunch catholics, opus dei members etc and am really shocked that they would go ahead with it. Apparently they are believing that Our Lady will intercede for them, I think it's stupidity.
The girl has an SS sibling who died....and am confused why would she still go ahead or is it that I don't have her level of faith. I believe God gave doctors the knowledge of SS to help save lives and when we have these knowledge and refuse to work with it, then we are being arrogant
Please what are your thoughts on this Hmm faith? What is faith? They may decide to call it faith but personally i won't support this. The scripture says "thou shall not put the Lord thy God to the test" This is not just about them but about what will become of their children, so if they finally give birth to an SS child (God forbid) will they comfortably tell the child they deliberately took a decision that landed him in such pain and constant crisis because they have faith or are in love beyond separation? I pray God see them through sha. |

The interesting part is that I made more sign of the cross today......something that I have never done my entire life.
Raise your voice with me as we thank God for today! Have a blissful night rest! For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. Ps 91:11-12 May the Lord be praised forever. |
