Hi all,

It has always been a thing of a great delight to share this with those who seems very interested to invest in "Salore farms".It all started back then during my Nysc days about a year ago when I was fortunate enough to get an hectare of farm land to invest in Agriculture, which has been one of the plans I have got in recent years among all other mind boggling plans that are been already laid down. Due to the zeal I had to have my own yam plantation. Every money that I have struggled to get during my service year was duely invested in the cultivation, clearing, ploughing, maintenance and labour works of the farm land, for which I was able to plant about 400 pieces of yam seedlings which will be harvested by the end of this month. When a business is starting out It would be a very wrong move for one whom seek to expand to eat it's profit without re- investing whatever income that is been made from the said business and this has no doubt been one of the reasons why many new business do crashes nor fold up without seen the light of the day as a result of improper planing and lack of technical know how . In the light of this, I call upon  my fellow Nigerians to come invest in Salore farms as we seek expansion. Any amount that is invested by respective individuals will be duely utilized as every dime been spent will be well spelled out to all the stakeholders involved. Since we are starting out 10% ROI will be paid to every individuals involved in every 3 month which will elapse in 9 month as a payment plan pattern is said to be structured. Let's assume an individual invested #100,000. Now,10% of #100000 =#110000. Which means an individual will get #10000 interest rate within the said period. That is #10000 divided by 9 which is =#1111.1 every month which will be paid every 3 month period that is 3*#1111.1=3333.3 which means a sum of 3333.3 will be paid in every three month at three different stages with the said capital invested. Which means if u invest #100000 you are to expect a return of #36666.6 which is your invested capital of #33333.3+3333.3 of your interest. I think our criminal law penalty should be reviewed and more severe. proposing a death penalty bill for hate speech. while can't they even propose same penalty for rape cases, money laundry and the likes whom are even far worse than the aforementioned like some other countries of the world. Now after two court hearings and if the families can spend the necessary amount of money that is been proposed to them; then that ends it all. and even if they are been sentenced, after a year or two they will be replace by some other criminals whom will bear their names and serve their penalty. Nigeria why!!!.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President, Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu, has said the social media can’t be left to operate without control.

A State House statement on Monday said Shehu spoke at the Kawararafa Media Award in Abuja on Sunday night.

He said, “The entire Kasuwan Magani saga that resulted in the death of more than 50 people was because someone posted misleading information on WhatsApp that went viral.


“All countries in the world are trying to make laws to check the excesses. Many countries are trying to control the situation. The Europeans have placed a new law that holds the companies responsible.

“In United Kingdom, the parliament has received a report on social media. There is youth addiction to it, just like cigarettes. Without any form of control, it has done harm to women, ethnic minorities, individuals, institutions and countries,’’ the statement by the Deputy Director, Information, Mr Atta Essa, quoted Shehu as saying.


He said that to demonstrate that the government was not against free speech, the Minister of Information and Culture, Mr Lai Mohammed, had repeatedly called for a meeting of stakeholders to agree on modalities for regulating the social media.

“The Federal Government is saying that stakeholders should come together and agree on regulation. We know that no matter how bad the situation is, it favours someone.

“Some have argued that our Constitution already has laws on libel, but the laws of the 60s never anticipated social media.


“No government has the right to muzzle freedom of speech. We don’t support the taking of lives as punishment. People insult others and share false information on social media. I hope that hate speech will be tackled so that Nigeria will be a sane place to live in,’’ he added.

He said the global trend required that a journalist should undergo training and licensing before reporting, adding that in the case of the social media, “with a phone, a tablet or laptop, anyone can reach millions, sometimes for good and other times with ulterior motives.’’

this may be genuine no doubt but some company like the aforementioned used messages like this to deceive the masses. they will give u a number to call when u get there( gbagada) so that someone will come pick u only for u to realize that it doesn't worth the stress. have had testimonies of how people got job through the platform no doubt, some network marketing agency use their platform as a disguise. talking from experience. thnks

Lagos State government has said by the first quarter of next year, it would begin to issue licences and permits before any borehole is drilled for water in any part of the state.

Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Water Regulatory Commission, Mrs Funke Femi Adepoju, while addressing stakeholders at a meeting, explained that this move was to safeguard residents of the metropolis.

The meeting was attended by members of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA), Financial Institutions, Association of Table Water Producers (ATWAP) and Association of Water Well Drilling Rig Owners Operators among others.

According to her, the exercise, which is to be launched by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is to regulate the process of water abstraction in the state.

Mrs Adepoju affirmed that licensing was a significant process in the regulation of any industry as the commission was determined to ensure its availability and sustainability to prevent the effect on unregulated water abstraction.

“What is paramount to government is how abstraction affects us as a people not just today but the future with emphases on pollution, contamination of water bodies, saline filtration into the system, over-abstraction and unregulated abstraction,” she stated.

While assuring that only registered companies captured in data will be issued a 2-year renewable license with unique and personalized number, the Executive Secretary explained that the commission was not established for a punitive purpose, but rather to establish standard in the water extraction industry in order to ensure that the health and safety of citizens are not compromised.

According to her, the essence of the engagement was to improve the relationship between stakeholders and government by developing ways to sanitize the industry, stressing that the agency has acquired mobile water test kits which are to be used in testing samples during operation and that approval for the acquisition of a standard laboratory for water testing is on the way.

Just about yesterday after speaking with my Class advicer, I was left in a depressed state.

I am currently on my 400level IT and I am to return back to school this coming new year by January. He told me about my result. He said my CGPA is the highest so far. Which makes me his best student. I asked him for the exact CGPA which he replied with with a *4.06*. My God I wondered why he was glad to break such a sad news to me. I thought I had chances of making it a 4.1+ the previous semester. I told him thanks. But I know I wasn't Happy

I did the maths...and I found out that the highest CGPA I can make is 4.2+ after my final year(2 semesters left) I feel terrible right now. How can I shift it to 4.3+ Cgpa? I have heard of students borrowing courses but I don't really know if this could be one of their reasons for doing such.


NB: I am not in anyway trying to make it look like having such a CGPA is bad or I am ungrateful. It's just that I have plans of applying for scholarships to study abroad but won't such a Gp hinder me?

Pls I need someone to placate me with motivational words. I feel like a looser. After all these years of studies! What if I loose the passion for school or studies after returning next year? I feel real bad

The land is not waterlogged in anyway. This is dry ground with no risk of being swamped. The reason why we did this ground beam in some sections of the foundation was because that area is lying so low in comparison to the other parts of the foundation, their's the issue of more weight owing to the fact that there might be up to 1.8 meters of foundation filling, blocks and top beam on that section while the rest of the foundation is normal height. The land is very sloped to the front left.
While testing the land before we started work, I came out with the impression that the ground at that area of the land has some presence of ground water. That was the reason for the ground beam which connects from column to column in the affected areas only.
We took a lot of measures to prevent any possible problems in the foundation.
