Dear Students, As tension rises in the academic community nationwide due the order from the Education Minister that all universities be reopened before 4th of December 2013, we are very committed to get you informed about the true state of things across schools in the country. Currently, we take time to confirm all information before posting them to avoid putting the students in a state of confusion. This is because at a moment like this, many real and fake information are spread which usually confuse the students. It will be too unprofessional and unjust too to share fake news that will end up giving the students unfounded hope. Many of the students have been expressing their anger on our posts by alleging that this page always post information that are in favour of ASUU but we will like you all to understand that our duty is to report all confirmed news which may turn out to be positive or negative depending on the view of the reader. We have been trying to get the current stand of lecturers of various schools on the latest development in the nation's education sector but our efforts have not been "wholly" fruitful. Presently reports from UNN, EBSU, FUTO, etc said that even though the school managements officially called for resumption of activities, ASUU (Lecturers) have vowed never to return to classes till their demands are met. This shows that it is possible for students to return to school and yet nothing academic will take event. Kindly note that as soon as it is confirmed that academic activities have kicked off in various schools, we shall let you all know and we shall equally remain in touch with various university authorities and SUG to give you the latest genuine reports. Thanks and remain blessed. Feel free to comment, commend, or ask questions regarding your school. Realistically,it is believed that since the lecturers didnt engage themselves in any academic activity during the strike period, they should not be paid but NLC & TUC says the striking lecturers deserves their salaries. what do u think? will u suggest that FG pays their salaries if ur opinion count? |
LARRYDKING: Fear gripped me when i read the last four pages on this thread, i fear choosing funaab when i'm 2ru with my nd cos even distinction candidates don't stand any chance in the contest... It's uncalled for, i rejoice with those who have been offered admission and i live in faith that those who are due for admission with make it. Fear has gripped me cos i'm planning of choosing the sch after my nd and my trust will be built on God nd result but this is not encouraging at all.u c what funaab is doing to suppose future aspirants..... i pity the school management who prefers to admit lower grade students to distinction because they did the school's diploma program FSP... who cares? quality of intake students determines the sustainability of the school name and image... standard is never substituted, else u want to be substandard |

is there NO Analyst in the house who can educate us comprehensively in stating the effects/implication of the strike?? |
Words may not be enough to describe the social, moral, political & economical effects posed By the strike since july 1st. i believe that students are not only affected the most but the Strike truncate our future in respect to time. here is a simple horizontal chain that wil aid ur perception to the subject matter. government - stakeholders/investors - universities & agencies - lecturers & non-lecturer - parents/guardians - students |
To an extent ASUU has really politicise the union to family affair |
