You all need to put the camera quality into consideration. Those throwbacks are non-digital photos that are being scanned. Some details might have been lost in the process of digitizing. They might have bleached but not without conscience ![]() |
PRO: Toyota's reliability, fuel efficient for the base model (four cylinder), sleek design CONS: Bland ride especially the base model, pricey replacement parts. That's what i can think of. Why buy the venza when you can get more from the Lexus RX350 |
The same way there's so much camry 2007-2011 and corolla 2003-2008 on sale. I believe people are upgrading. The Acura is a fantastic car to own. |
It all depends on the proximity from your accommodation to the place of work, but if the cost of transportation is the same (which i doubt ) then Lagos is quite better. The ibadan will be a better bet if and only if you're offered 70k minimum. |
henry007:With the gas incessant problem. The yaris is a winner here. Moreso are the 2 cars naija used? |
henry007:Saw ur mention of the infinti/nissan thread. Well all i can say is that the yaris may be the better option. Tho i started using the altima almost a year and i have only changed the breakpads. I wasnt that knowledgeable about cars then, all i wanted was something in par with muzzle/evilspirit since that was what my office collegues used and not as financial bouyant as them. Only time will tell if i made the right choice cos they call the altima "muzzle" at the office . In short buy the altima if you have access to another cars incase the cvt issues creep in else jejely buy the yaris and be happy. |
4k instead of the 5k i spend. I have stopped using AC and i avoid idling the car, well i don't stay in Lag. Moreso i have avoided unnecessary waka, from my work place to my house no branchy branchy again. Wen fuel comes back to normalcy i will unleash my branchy branchy. |
diportivo:Nissan is one automobile that enjoys a great brand loyalty despite their bad customer reviews. People all over the world (Nigerians included) buys it , only a better reliability could have made it superb. I still see plenty people riding newer versions of murano, altima, sentra, rogue, almera and qashqai, so i begin to wonder why do Nigerians still buy Nissans? |
MissMercedes:Toyota camry or EOD. Golf4 isn't bad too. But the maxima 2004 and altima is not for a first time user unless u can go for the pre and post generations of the two, even at that the EOD/Big4 a purpose is still the best option |
nurey:That road isnt funny at all, its a town between Owo and Akure . Thank God for his mercies. Those boys disguised with some yeye road blocks and it was around the harmattan period,so there was fog. My mum was just sharp enough to scale through, i was telling her to slow down because of the road block by the police men. Later on we just reasoned it was the bad guys. My mum just overtook one ford hummer bus. The guys rammed our windscreen and started throwing water melon at us. We lost all the side mirrors, windscreen and front facia. It was only our sienna and the ford hummer that escaped( his car carried one thick wood that caused a damage to his radiator). Policemen were about 10km from the scene and started asking questions with about 50 people that escaped. The man that drove the ford started singing one ibo song. My family of 4 was the only yoruba the rest were northerners. My sister and mum were the only women there, they could speak hausa so they mingled in no time. I was just reading their lips as i could neither speak nor understand hausa. |
cao:Yes dear! I'm watching it again this evening or Kapoor and Sons at the cinema. I got an awoof deal for a bollywood movie that is irresistible. Popcorn/Coke/Movie ticket for just 500 naira only lols. If na correct money na Junglebook sure pass. |
Sholaar:Maybe that man down there needs someone who it can share an emotional ties with. I still haven't seen anything abnormal in ur query IMO just lack of confidence |
Use vega-100 or drink jedi. U can as well eat natural fruits like water melon, garlic etc. Surf the internet for the natural remedies |
gustav25:Yes gustav. It's showing at viva cinema and filmhouse cinema. Viva shows at 1500 on weekends while filmhouse shows at 1000 naira. But on weekdays its 700 and 500 naira respectively |

Teebond:Peugeot 407 |
It's been like 2 years I've watched a SRK movie cos it lacks content. I never regretted watching Fan at the cinema this evening. Many thanks to my friend that forced me to watch the movie. Still reminiscing on some awesome scenes and dialogues. |
10 months and still counting except oil changes Car make: Nissan Altima Year: 2008 Mileage driven : 13,108 miles 13 months+ Car make : Toyota Corolla Year: 1999 Mileage driven : 6315 miles Toyota makes reliable cars, but nissan isn't too bad either. Also tired of hearing "ha nissan, kilorodebe?" (Ha! Nissan, what were u thinking when you purchased it lol) |
GAZZUZZ:Thank God i no do oversabi. My knowledge has been updated |
gazzuzz is right. Just change the bad rotors and have peace of mind. I dont think rotors can be repaired. |
godwinkessi:@OP Why not the Audi A8,Bmw m5, infinti Q45 or any v8 powered engine sedan? That Avalon is too small. Gazzuzz that told you to go for a 1.4 to 1.8l engine car doesn't want the best for you u hear because PMS is now 10 naira/l and you will drive in and buy without any hussle. Mr young architect sòme people with 2.5l/2.4l i4 engine sef parked it and are cruising their yaris, micra, avensis and corolla since gas is now 250/l here with struggles. #BeWise |
Run niccur Run!!! Except it's your hobby to keep spending to keep the car on the road. If you love the nissan badge, there are other models that are more reliable (consult nairaland carlanders) to the 2004/05 max. It will be pure foolishness if you buy that maxima IMHO |
The 5th insane thing you forgot to add is that lawyers are paid 15k to 25k after struggles of the law schl and the university in dos law hub abi na firm una deh call àm. The ones weh try go pay 50k for lagos. If you don't have a Barr parent to inherit a firm, clients and experience from, you will sufferhead ehn. |

nurey:That should be a nissan of old. 2002 upwards nissan's reliability is poor. The sentra 1.8 to 2.0l isnt as efficient in fuel compared to the corolla. |
i get close to 12l/100km in city and 8l/100km for combined in a 2.5l engine. @Nurey cuman lend me your car, u can see what the fuel scarcity is doing. |
If u feel honda has a bad rep what will u say about nissans and mitsubushis? Honda has a long term reliability. Although i have seen a crosstour with d leg pull before but still Honda is stilĺ an obedient servant. |
[quote author=Kashif post=43185371]what would i notice when tranny is abt to fail? |
GAZZUZZ:it depends on how hard i am on gas. But with a light foot its below 2000. |
@marpol and @kashif. i will be careful of him.
@mayor2013. ure just hilarious with kazeem ti take over lol |
