Bought it 3 month ago, met it at 201 km. The longest i drive mostly is from home to work which is not up to 3km,av ask around...this envelope consumes fuel differnetly, beside d fuel ish d car is all correct,cool engine,well balanced and superb a.c.

Bro that means it does roughly 18km on 20litres. A Tundra V8 cant be that worst. You need to find a diagnosis asap because PMS might be 195/litre by Xmas lol

20 litres can't take you to drive around different axis of ibadan in a day when you ain't using a micra or yaris. So using the number of days for judging fuel consumption is not it. What's the mileage and duration you've being using the car? Have u asked similar envelope ownerz within your district what FE they get?

All reviews both in the US and Nigeria picks the accord. The only thing you can enjoy the camry for is the Toyota resale value and cheaper replacement parts. Durability is the same, that camry's dashboard will start melting and cracking giving you a shiny reflection on the windscreen when driving on a hot sunny afternoon. Ogbeni OP pick the accord and be happy.
Tho i feel the accord has a lower ground clearance compared to the camrys' with the way i see it from afar, I'm not sure if I'm right.

That's not even efficient enough.

Thats a modern v6 engine. Your v6 mpg is rated in par with an I4 camry of 2008 and below

OP : Dont go near those Nissan Series...either Maxima or Altima - they are the worst Cars in the history of Mankind!

Camry 2007-2011 suffers from the dashboard problems. Even the Rx330 and acura tsx. So thats not a very big issue.
CVT is now a typical japanese transmission by default. Toyota, Honda, Suzuki and Subaru are using it in their models so if u will use a japanese car by 2020 get ready for that.
The 4th generation altima is still more reliable than the 3rd generation IMHO
@OP. My altima has plied Ijebu-Ode to Benin road over 12 trips without any hiccups and my Mum's ever reliable camry bleeped up after about 4 trips. Just save urself from any wahala and use the cars you see people are using well like the Toyotas

Its not a problematic car. I use the 2008 model which is the same. But that car needs to be babysitted mehn and replacement parts ain't as easy in the open market and that can be really frustrating which means its expensive than competitors. The issue you will surely face is the melting dashboard then the "kurekure" (anti-christ) CVT transmission is fragile although i have seen people using it for 5 years without problems in Nigeria. Resale value is very very poor. Asides that its "quite" dependable.

Good buy, its a fuel efficient midsizer. The only problem might be the availability of spare parts and technical knowhow which any accord,sonata and altima of its age could face.

Mine was 10 days. Such an unrepentable cheerful giver (olosho) church choir. She broke up with me because she felt I'm too inquisitive on her private life. She always recieves anonymous calls everywhere like the marketer that she is.

My AC system gets cold iff you're in d front seat. The passenger at the back always complain of heat which leaves me at d mercy of No AC when carry people at the back. What could be the cause.

Brox you're at a Win-Win situation if you buy either of the two,they are reliable to a great extent. I will prefare the accord tho because of the aesthetics and road handling to the camry. Goodluck

Sell it and save yourself from unnecessary wahala. You will spend more than 500k before 2 years of ownership. Sell it off or cut into scraps and sell it in bits, just count your loss and move on.That car is evil

They are both fuel guzzlers. I'll go with the pathy, the exterior/interior of the xterra is ugly and i hate its noisy humming acceleration (talking from the xterras I've seen around me)

Altima 2002-2006 recommends Matic D, but i have seen people using Dextron III and Mecron V. There is a mobil atf that meets the Matic D specs.

Altima 2007-2012 recommends NS-2. Using any other fluid might ruin the fragile tranny

Altima 2013-2016 uses NS-3.

You can obtain a PPD form (Pre Professional Diploma) of 2 semesters in FSS Oyo, if you pass you can then proceed with the PD which has a duration of 3 semesters making 5 semesters in all.
You may also go for your PGD and M.sc in Surveying/Geoinfomatics. I would recommend UniLag.
Dunno how true it is, but i learnt the PD (from other fields)of FSS Oyo has a slight edge at the council compared to the M.Sc (from other fields). Like i said, it could be an hoax

1. You should have the O'levels requirements and apply for JAMB and pick the Polytechnic or University that offers it.
2. Incase you intend going to a Polytechnic, after your HND and NYSC (If it hasnt being scrapped) you will have to bagged a Professional Diploma (PD) in FSS Oyo or ĶADPoly to enable you start a 2 year pupillage leading to the registration exams
3. If you intend getting a B.Sc in Surveying then afteŕ your 5 year course and NYSC you can apply for your 2 year pupillage so as to qualify for the registration exams.
4. You can get a Degree in other related fields e.g Mathematics, Physics, URP, Geography, Civil Engineering etc then get a Professional Dìploma(PD) at FSS Oyo so as to start your 2 year pupillage leading to the registration exams.
NB:- PD isn't the same as PGD.

Toyota Corolla is the best option here.
You enjoy fuel economy, spare parts accessibility and the technical knowhow. The corolla is stable on a reasonable highway speed . Grab the corolla an have a peace of mind in this CHANGE era.

If he is a university student especially in the south west (yoruba land) don't buy him camry if you don't want SARS today, SARS tomorrow they will harass him and call him yahoo yahoo boy.

If you intend to buy him a car to make transportation easy for him, I mean if you are not concerned about image just ease of use, good maintenance and cheap on pocket, buy the European accord 1995-2001 or the VW golf 3

Wa gbayi brother. you're right! Lagos is better but that Ibadan,Ife and Ogbomosho SARS can make life unbearable. For me to go to church on Sundays na wahala self because they will always disturb me with my penkele motor despite being in the working class.

you really got my issue and now i have a better understanding as regards the malfunction.

i have involved @nisspart. we already discussed and i will get the car to him next week. i'll let you know of the outcome.

one more thing please.. does the tranny still selects gears if one continues driving after the TCM cuts off signal to the ECU?. just wondering cos the car keeps moving at this point though not a normal drive.

what has your experiences being with this car? have u replaced the cvt before? Following this thread in anticipation.
