If after we have made moves through them n nothing is done, then we can proceed to plan B. Which is Calling them (NUT, NLC, STATE GOVERNMENT ETC) them out on all social n electronic media. Do you know that if you want to retire rn, these cro0ks will take you to your normal level.

NUT/NLC? Don't expect anything good from those unreliable folks. A parallel union executive that could eventually throw them out, is the way out. When we've taken over, then we can start the fight from that point

I kinda disagree with you to some extent, God won't come down from heaven to help us. It's only us that can free ourselves from these oppression, but I noticed most teachers are just scared to take action because they feel they will be victimized.

I posted here some thread ago that there has to be volunteers to take up this fight and the earlier the better. We must create a forum somewhere to concretise our plans. We need to fight to put this teachers oppression to an end once and for all

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared a total sum of N786.161 billion to the federal, state a d Local Governments.

It represented their share from the May 2023 Federation Account Revenue, according to the communiqué issued at the end of the FAAC meeting in Abuja, yesterday.

The meeting was chaired by the new Accountant-General of the Federation, Dr. Oluwatoyin Madein, according to the Director, Press and Public Relations, Mr. Bawa Mokwa.

The N786.161 billion total distributable revenue comprised distributable statutory revenue of N519.545 billion, distributable Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue of N251.607 billion, Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) of N14.370 billion, and Exchange Difference revenue of N0.639 billion.

A total of N38.238 billion was deducted as cost of collection, usually paid to the revenue generating agencies, while statutory transfers took another N163.193 billion.

The balance in the Excess Crude Account (ECA) was $473,754.57

The communiqué indicated that from the total distributable revenue of N786.161 billion; the Federal Government received N301.889 billion, the State Governments received N265.875 billion and the Local Government Councils received N195.541 billion.

A total of N22.855 billion was shared to the oil producing tates as 13% derivation revenue.

Gross statutory revenue of N701.787 billion was received for the month of May 2023. This was higher than the sum of N497.463 billion received in the previous month by N204.324 billion.

From the N519.545 billion distributable statutory revenue, the Federal Government received N261.686 billion, the State Governments received N132.731 billion and the Local Government Councils received N102.330 billion. The sum of N22.798 billion was shared to the relevant States as 13% derivation revenue.

This was higher than the N217.743 billion available in the month of April 2023 by N52.454 billion.

The Federal Government received N37.741 billion, the State Governments received N125.804 billion and the Local Government Councils received N88.062 billion from the N251.607 billion distributable Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue.

The N14.370 billion Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) was shared as follows: the Federal Government received N2.155 billion, the State Governments received N7.185 billion and the Local Government Councils received N5.030 billion.

From the N0.639 billion Exchange Difference revenue, the Federal Government received N0.307 billion, the State Governments received N0.156 billion, the Local Government Councils received N0.119 billion and the sum of N0.057 billion was shared to the relevant States as 13 percent mineral revenue.

With this usual amount, 786 B shared, no body should expect anything more than the usual pay. May be by July ending when subsidy removal will reflect in the shared sum, they could be able to implement whatever they intend to implement

You are right tho. However, we need to take action urgently, if we can get a platform to converge and discuss the way forward. It demands sacrifices. Some of us should be willing to put their job on the line and take up this fight to put an abrupt end to this oppression and subjugation of teachers

If promotional salary is not paid this month, and no increment in our monthly salary, it will be a great injustice to all the state civil servant, because with removal of subsidy, and devaluation of naira, another set of hardship is at hand. More than 100% percentage change. New governor need to help the civil servant by implementing the new promotional salary and start the payment this month.

Removal of fuel subsidy means automatic rise in FAAC amount to be shared. Already Labour and FG have set up minimum wage commitee. I strongly believe things will not stay the same. If they fail to do something, we will rise and make a demand

He made the promise before the election to lure civil servants to his side, because he thought the new Obidient movement in Rivers State will give him a tough fight and sway votes in the direction of another candidate. Secondly, having aided Tinubu's victory in such a brazen manner, he sensed that people were not happy with him, so the promise was also used to pacify the masses. The election came and he discovered that things were much more easier than he had anticipated. His candidate enjoyed a free ride to victory. Now, don't you think he will be a bit reluctant to pursue the implementation of that promise? Then come up with: "my successor shall implement it" 🤷‍♂️

“So far so good, the exercise has commenced. You can see the number of persons and ministries we have verified.
“So far it has proceeded as expected. For employment of ten thousand youths of Rivers State, recalled that two weeks ago, we went on air and came up with a website dedicated for the recruitment.
“The applicants have applied through the website,” Ndu said.
He advised civil servants to be orderly, adding that everyone will be attended to.

Unity bank is not aware today is the end of March, and workers should be paid their salaries. They want us to wait till Tuesday. Ok

Civil service commission asking MDAs for lists of members due for promotion between now and 20th March. That they want to conduct promotion interviews. Something that should be automatic, after denying workers promotion for many years. They want to delay this whole thing again until when the new government enters, they'll cancel and start afresh. Let's vote wisely sha.

This is super story because salary increment doesn't require a letter writing.

Maybe some people just want to take excess transport money from teachers in the guise of assisting them to take their letters to the board at PH. Times are tough and folks are thinking outside the box. Lol.
