Vyolet: Lol,this is the smallest issue one can deal with,it is culture and to avoid unnecessary arguments, just call her whatever she likes and move on with your life. That you use 'e' for her doesn't mean you can't send her errands or ask her to do house chores. The way you carry yourself will determine how much she will respect you. exactly you can even stylishly send her errands and she won't notice e.g anti kemi ede sare gbe awon Aburo yin kuron school or ede bami ra ata tima se fegbon yin |

Walk the talk. Go look for him and when you find him, propose to him and tell him how his single hood has been bothering your life and giving you sleepless nights and how you want to end his bachelor hood. talk is very cheap on nl, provide a solution to the problem since you have seen that he's 35 and a bachelor |

Lol even the Op knows he typed bull sht FrancisTony: Why should a girl say "sorry" when she didn't do anything?. Heck!, I tag those kind of girls dull with inferiority complex. Not my kind of girls.
Well, not bad. People's emotion differs.
Are you kidding me? Seriously? Sorry, there's probably something else she's enjoying in that relationship but pretending to be absorbing the hurts. Trust me, if that thing dries, you'll find out that she will abandon you. Err', those kind of girls eh.
Stvpid girl with inferiority complex. To save gini? choi! If she wasn't making sense in the argument, it's understandable but if she's spot on, then she's a FOOL for stopping the argument. Relationship kor!
Not bad.
Uhmm! Really? As in upset with the guy rude/nasty behaviour(s)? If YES, she's very silly for keeping mute. Annoying kor!
Seriously? She is a dormant girl except if she's planning to change the guy, anyway. If NOT, then she doesn't deserve to be called a HUMAN.
God forbid bad thing. This kind of girl is leaving my life because I won't wanna date a girl that tolerates any SH1T from a guy just to keep him. I'm not advicing ladies to be rude and disrepectful to their boyfriends/spouses but atleast, don't keep mute and act like a fool because you don't want to hurt his feelings. |

Not like i'm in support of paedophilia but older men having sex with little girls(male paedophilia) is still comprehensible a little bit. male or female pedophilia is disgusting. A child that she should be dragging to school and ask what he was taught is the one she's marrying. I bet when he has grown to an age of maturity he will almost beat both the person that joined them together and the pedo. Very appalling |

Gbam! LewsTherin: True,
Or one can find a different option of seeming to give her her desire while not eating her shite.
When I found myself in a similar situation with an older cousin, I skipped it all by calling her Mrs Elder-Cousin. She was forced to accept that as anything else would make her look very obviously childish. |

Family › Re: My Mother-in-law Hates Because I Refuse To Call My Sister-in-law "Aunty" by SAMBARRY: 9:03pm On Jun 08, 2015 |
@ lews therin you're not calling her the aunty because she deserves it or she's worth it .not even that because you are married to her brother but because you want to avoid ejo oshi. When the chips are down and she goes ranting to the mother about aunty bull sht the mother will definitely take sides with her daughter because she's her daughter. No matter how good you're her daughter will always be her daughter and in the order of priority she'll place you as secondary to her daughter since you're from another family and that's why the yorubas say because another person's child has a bigger ass than your child doesn't mean you will put waist beads on another person's child's waist.
Except where the mother inlaw is a reasonable human being and says you shouldn't call her aunty.but if your mother inlaw didn't say so, if it's aunty your sister in law wants to eat then give it to her |
Family › Re: My Mother-in-law Hates Because I Refuse To Call My Sister-in-law "Aunty" by SAMBARRY: 8:51pm On Jun 08, 2015 |
Exactly my point. Just give the insincere eye service respect to her face and call her whatever you like at her back so you won't have to be fighting unnecessary and needless battles raumdeuter: Lol. SOme people dont know there are bigger battles in life than small ego trips
A small story.
======================================================================== One of my uncles told us a story 2 friends John and Fred got a job in a bank in the 90's after they had worked in many other organisations
It now happened that one of their junior in school was the Head of their department. Like they was in final yr when the girl was in year 2 one of his coursemates babes those yrs
Later she insisted everyone in the dept call her "Ma". Both guys were so shocked and insisted they wont call her Ma
So she staged a drama at the bank
She started calling from her office
John!!
John answered YES.
Fred!!!!
His friend answered YES
Later she told them to wait now started calling other people in the dept
Ade!!! , Ade answered: Yes MA!!, Obi!!! Obi Answered Yes MA!! Steven!! Steven answered Yes MA
She now told both friends to go back out and she recalled them. John just answered even though reluctantly YES MA. Fred his friend refused and insisted on YES
They started a mini silent war. She wrote him up for insubordination gave bad appraisals and finally got Fred fired
over a yr later she was transferred out of the country.
And John today is a top shot at the bank while Fred after his sack only got a teaching job and struggled
Now think about it who lost on the long run
Yorubas usually say something about calling Malu(a cow) brother to allow us pass or call a mad man the groom so he would give us peace |

Ngokafor: ...15years?? ....i can imagine you mentally rolling your eyes and muttering 'aunty fire' exactly. I was like save yourself the stress. What's the point but you know in some families you have to call them aunty this brother that for their body to come down op just call her aunty to her face and call her directly by her name at her back since its in yoruba culture to encourage eye service and fake love. Or better still you can find a nick name for her like if for example her name is abiodun you can call her aby |

One of my uncle's wife who's 15 years older than me calls me aunty shewa and uses e for me and I'm always like o puleasssee we all know It's hypocrisy. I told her to call me directly by my first name and leave all this aunty sh1t because you and I know you can't refer to me like that behind my back. Seriously I don't know why yorubas encourage hypocrisy and fake insincere respect Anyway different family different rules. If aunty will make her feel good call her aunty and then sometimes use e for her sometimes use o for her |
