Chuukwudi: Please, do you know if there is a regulatory body in the UK for Artificial Intelligence.? BCS holds sway in this area but not compulsory. If the school has it good but if not, you are still good to go. BCS is just a professional body providing support professionally in the field of computing |

mattfeuter: This accreditation issue has been discussed here, I’m in no mood to go back and forth over it.
When we graduate, we’ll see about landing big job or not.
And yes , that’s the course I’m going for. Okay. I declined when I noticed this. I had a few CS offers. Best wishes bro |

mattfeuter: Not all unis are on that list,
It does not mean the Cyber Security/Digital Forensic course at those Unis that were not listed isn’t accredited,
Some were accredited by BCS, the Chartered institute for It. Yes bro. Cyber security is government regulated. If you do Cyber security for school when no get approval, you will not land a big job. Prepare to use your degree only in nations where they are begging to have cyber security expert. BCS is a reputable body but lacks the power to regulate CS because a government institution is in charge of that aspect. The BCS is just a professional body registered by the government to professionally develop and support institutions and members |

cyberpeaks01: Good day all. After careful study and following this thread, I must admit that wonderful jobs have been done here.
I have an offer to study MSc Cybersecurity at ARU but the course is listed on NCSC website.
I would like to know the consequences if your course has not been accredited by the UK body in charge of that profession.
Thank you. I had a similar issue. It can be taken likely in some course of study being that the major University accreditation to run programmes matter most. In my own view as it concerns a degree in Cyber security, I will advice that you go for a university on the list because the course area is a very sensitive one especially if you have a mind of exploring professional opportunities in the UK |

popplm: Good afternoon great people, I am about to apply for my dependants as they recently got their Tb test done. I want to know if its safe to put their maintenance fee in bank now considering the closure of tls or i should wait till they are finally opened. It depends on how soon you want them to join you. If it is not urgent, you may opt to wait. If you want them joining you in August/September 2020 now is the right time because before the 28days counting period, the TLS would have opened for new applications |

justwise: If you can not even afford to pay 50% is an indication that you don't have the money to meet the financial requirement to start with.
How will you convince the embassy that you can afford to study in the UK if you are unable to deposit 50% school fees? If e no pay the 50%, the school won't even issue CAS |

Vik15: pls university of Bradford wrote on my admission letter that I would need to have paid 50% of total tuition fee at enrollment and the rest in installment. my question is if i have just 30% at the point enrollment, would i be allowed to enroll? Do people get sent back to their country on this?
Thanks for your response as its going to help me take decisions. Policies defer from university to university. I am told that if you breach the terms, the University reports to the home office. On the other hand some school may not even disturb you. I advice you follow your terms with the school and respect the agreement |

Chuukwudi: Please, I will be printing my bank account statement by month end. I also plan booking my TB test and embassy interview in such a way that they happen one day apart to save cost of extra nights in hotel or travelling to Lagos twice because I stay in the East, which is quite far.
Is this a good idea? For those of you who are in Lagos and have recently booked for the test, is there any rush? Will it make sense to come to Lagos twice so that I don't get unnecessarily delayed, just incase there is rush at the TB test centre?
Has any official date been announced for the opening of the British embassy for tier 4 applicants? You have answered it all. No amount of travels in ensuring that you get it right is wasteful. I advice you go get your TB test and then return for Visa application |

DonTwice: I would decamp if I were in your shoes and apply to a school that has January intake unless you are bent on entering this September of course. A school that's always finding it hard to make decisions might definitely come back to hunt you in your academic year with them in terms of delay in graduation, result processing etc. It just shows they are either unorganized or too careful to point of being slow. Them don apologize this morning o. I like the place because I don map there. I go get soft landing. I dey watch them sha |

DonTwice: You must have done yours at Festac Passport office which still uses the old one that doesn't require NIN or another passport office. I just want to say both the old one and new one are still valid and you can still use either of them to travel. No need to panic and switch to a new one "Unless" your passport is about to expire. Rather put the money to a good use, for starters your TB test. Since you received your passport 2019 then you still have until 2024 before it expires. Yes |

mattfeuter: Why do you want to book for medicals now when you’ve already deferred your admission to January 2021?
Unless you’re going for September 2020 entry, I see no reason for the rush. I think he can start in September because it has a six months validity. I was told today that if the lungs is not clear, one will be put on check for 8 weeks and I met people who had to wait. I advice that people go for the test early and some persons have lost out of terms |
