@ cameronese i'm waiting for my own answers o, if you don't mind please explain to me thanks in anticipation |
Hello House, I've also been following this thread for two months now trying to learn Domain business, i even bought some eBooks online but the problem with those eBooks is that the writers are not Nigerians nor based in Nigeria so i need information on this business from the Nigerian perspective, i tried to ask 2sexy some questions he answered my first question but ignored the last message i sent him and came here to say no body should send him p.m, if we have any question we should post it here @ 2sexy i sent you a private message because you said you don't like answering questions here because of information marketers.....anyway @ cameronese pls i will appreciate if you can attend to me and also mentor me on this business, i'm yet to start but i've be learning about it my questions are when i want to open an account with any of the sites like sedo.com, flipper.com and godaddy can i use my Nigerian IP? when i'm registering a domain name do i register it with a Nigerian address or foreign address? I remember reading on this thread that when registering the domain name one should register with a foreign address because of whois address, i don't understand this i need more clarification here, also i need to know do i buy a domain name before registering it or i should just create a name and register it? i will appreciate it if either cameronese or any of the willing gurus in the house can help me out with these questions. I'm actually on my way out of the country right now so i guess it won't be a good idea to open an account while away because of the foreign ip if i'm supposed to use a Nigerian ip. thanks Pls @ cameronese check your mail box, i've just sent you a P.M |

You are welcome Afroprince, yeah the hotel is a walking distance to the metro, though i have never used it just planning to use it on my next trip, you can't find any African restaurants around there o, for that you will have to go to down town Deira, but there are a lots of other eateries around but mostly middle eastern and indian eateries and fast foods, there is really no any tourist attraction around there but the place is filled with shops, there's a small supermarket opposite it, and a little bit down another bigger supermarket "Happy Land supermarket", the Abu Hail center is a few mins walk from the hotel also is Max store, there's a bakery not too far and about two pharmacies around there, every thing you need for your family you will get there that's one of the reasons why i lkie staying there, there's a fine ice cream parlour( Baskin Robbins) right next door to the hotel i'm sure the wifey and daughter will love that. Shoe mart is also a few yards away from there. You can't walk to the gold souk from there you need a taxi to take you there if there's not much traffic, you will pay about 15 dirhams but if there's traffic you could end up paying up to 30 dirhams, it's a 10 dirhams ride in taxi to Deira city center if there's not traffic, my advice for you is whenever you want to go around there try and beat the traffic like around 12- 1pm there won't be much traffic but if you leave during the rush hours the traffic can be so frustrating, but also bear in mind that the deira market and gold souk go on break from 2pm to 4pm, i was hoping to go in August too before, but can't make it anymore, i will go in December/January for a well deserved vacation and business as i will wait and witness the shopping festival, hope this helps Afroprince: Thanks Samee72 u r a darling...i saw some alarming reviews and felt i have made a mistake already lol, thanks for this info...i heard its very close to the metro right? How accessible are eatries and tourist life around there? Can i stroll down to the gold souk from there? How about getting some Naija food around there too or must i go to downtown Deira? Pls upgrade me more dear! Ok thanks as i await more info...i will be going with wifey and daughter so that part of bringing babes won't happen but will be glad to meet new pple on this trip though to just hang out with, when next r u coming to Dubai? |
Afroprince: Hi guys, is anyone traveling to Dubai or Abu Dhabi this August? Let's meet up if you don't mind...I would wanna know if anyone has lodged in Al Manar Hotel Apartment before? I need to know the hotel ratings from fellow Africans, seen a lot of reviews already on Trip Advisor and its kinda conflicting, so i would welcome reviews from anyone that has had an experience with the hotel already.

Is it Almanar in Abu hail? If so that's the hotel I always stay and it's very ok,it's like an indian hotel mostly indian n locals that live in the area you hardly see africans lodging there, but it can be difficult to locate just tell the taxi behind Ramadan continental hotel after Lotus grand hotel apartments, they have a fine roof top swimming pool and a great sauna, I'v stayed there four times and intend staying there on my next trip, I also left a review on the hotel in tripadvisor it's a family so u can't bring in any lady to spend the nite except if she's your wife and you with her inclusive, hope this help? |

, i've been away since morning and just came online now to the palace and saw what is happening i can see everyone have been busy chasing away rats good job house but it's really funny, @ kias well concerning emirates i spoke with someone yesterday at the office and he told me i can get visa through them after booking and paying for the flight but i have to book hotel also so i guess it's probably the hotel that will sponsor the person, i've only been traveling with them but never gotten a visa through them as i always get my visa from Dubai directly through.....until i came across nairaland but i guess to be on the safe side it's better any one going to Dubai to go with etihad so as to be sure of the visa, igwe loolo and all the chiefs i salute Justi4jesu i greet o, my brother henrimoto how you dey? |
The only flights leaving from Abuja to Doha that i know of are Ethiopian and Egypt air, ethiopian will have a stop over at Adis ababa while egypt will have a stopover at cairo, qartar aiways, emirates and etihad all leave from Lagos but i heard there's an arrangement between emirates and arik, that Arik take emirates passengers to Lagos where they now board Emirates, but i'm not sure of this cos i normally travel myself to Lagos by any airline or by road then i board emirates ASPchris: can somebody travel via abuja airport to Doha than using lagos airport? Or the airliners will decide for you ? |
Henrimoto i just prefer traveling with emirates that's all, and besides i'm not sure if Etihad airlines will take you to Dubai or they just drop people in Abu Dhabi and get bus to convey them to Dubai which is another two hours journey but if they use plane to transport people to Dubai from Abu Dhabi, then it won't be a bad idea to use Etihad, pls house those of you that have use etihad throw more light on this, after landing at Abu Dhabi airport do they transport people to Dubai by bus or plane? henrimoto: thanks sis. samee72. what is d difference ? $9 !, (emirates no go point cheap hotel 4 u..). did u check their flight fee? |
To apply for visa through Emirates you first book and pay for your ticket either online or their office, then after payment you use your booking reference and go to the manage my booking page on their site and apply for visa, hope that helps abbie359: hello, how can 1 apply for the visa through emirates? |
House good day, I just spoke with emirates now, anyone traveling with emirates and needs visa through them have to also book for hotel through them, visa is 76 dollars but the catch is you have to also book hotel through them |
Please house does anyone knows if Emirates airline are still issuing visas? I prefer traveling with Emirates |
Lol you no go kill me with laughter Henrimotohenrimoto: when am i going to dubai? haaaaaaaaaa! * see how he open mouth down like lagos people. close it jare b4 fly enter it! * no b if i get d money. nne, we are still looking 4 options jaree.. but still, it will b good i go, even if na 2 join people go view tallest building in dubaaai... all na travel history. |
my igwe i never know o but planning towards it seriously, i'm a northerner and as such don't know much about bush meat but i can bring kilishi or danbu nama if you sabi those ones ogakpatakpata: @samee72.............when are you visiting the emirates?.......will be expecting your visit?........they will allow you to carry it, remember to come along with some spicy and well garnished bush meat for the palace...lolz...thanks for all your contributions on this forum, do have a wonderful week.........cheers!!! |
you can open a dollar visa account with Access bank and put some of your money there and hold some cash, that's what i do whenever i'm traveling and any visa atm in Dubai accepts it but then i still carry most of my money cash cos at times you will have hitches for instance you can't withdraw more than 500 dollars a day with the visa card phranco: @ogakpatakpata,pls how do i travel to dubai with my money,is it to open a domicialliary account(foreign acct),or load it in my credit card,or change into dollars and travel with cash.thank u. |
see mr ujchief the best thing is let your cousin get visa and ticket from etihad with about 150,000 that igwee suggested then let him go to Dubai himself and meet the mr X and they can go and check out the job together try and go back and read the this thread from the beginning you will see that once your cousin gets a job in Dubai the company will process his employment visa and resident permit for two years without him paying a penny ujchief: Thanks for your input. I didn't know dubai visa and flight tickets were that cheap. Like you rightly pointed out, I'm not a regular on this section. I came in to start a thread b'cos of this, but saw this thread and felt it was best I seek inputs here. |
i'm fine henrimoto guess you are too when are you going to Dubai abi you too no go go? henrimoto: @elder116. pls, look 4 dis thread under travel section. "how nigerians are decieved with fake job offers to qatar" u will get one or two comments there. @ femiaction. hallo. i greet. thank goodness all is well with u. weldone sir. @samee72. sis. watz up..? its well. every body in and outside d palace i great! igweee! greetings.. |
thank you igwe i sure will bring some palm wine if i'm allowed to carry it because i must visit the palace ogakpatakpata: @samee72..........good to hear that, wishing you all the best and a safe arrival to the emirates, make sure you bring fresh palm wine for the palace when coming..lolz.... |
