Tickles001:no apologies!goodluck in ur adventure....ur earlier post dint suggest u were having fun....its simple, your are not qualified for the diy task u have chosen...its different if ur system suddenly went bad or stopped working, then its easy to help than to be "intentionally" causing trouble then looking for some pros to clean up ur mess with ur "misleading info". advice:u need enough skills and even more experience, knowledge to make somethings happen..even somethings are not described in tutorials cuz 2 incidents may be similar but never the same...at that point-only your INSTINCT sets the difference! |
Habholarji:its quite a tricky and technical one.... a fresh windows 10 installation masks your drivers as ok..NOT TRUE what it infact does is simulate a proper installation based on the current archietecture and instruction pre-defined by the installation(thtas why your biometric devices dint come up) solution:you have to manually install your drivers either using a driver pack or downloading then from the drivers download page of ur hp model from hp.com here are possible problems u are surely to encounter: 1..a windows 10 os driver page may not be available for your model yet. solution:download the required download for the os yor laptop is intended for(windows 7 or ..check under your laptop for the license key;above it,u will see either windows 7 ......or windows 8...whatever the case, just down load drivers for a high version of 7 or 8(ie pro or ultimate) 2..it may not run correctly on windows 10... solution:before you run the downloaded driver, right click on it and run it in compactibility mode for either windows 7 or 8 3..you may eventually run into dotnet 3.5 framework installation missing... solution:cant be described properly here cuz its been reprogrammed in an elevated stance of command prompt.. you can call me on 08061679732 when u hit a brickwall |
lalaboi:I guess I ws just in the mood for an epistle too outta boredom.i guess we all understand each other beta and I'm not here to impress anyone either or be everyone hero. In response to ur hard drive issue get the licensed copy of easeus partition master or recovery (av shared a method atleast) then u can now start ur DIY adventure(lol E maso mi lenu |
lalaboi:but no come here dey form god ontop PC issues ![]() as its written:God created man in his own image..so pls forgive me if my image "chokes" u.. i believe God has blessed us each abundantly and we must all choose our paths carefully and follow..for me,this is what i chose in the end and i want to be the best i can...so u wont see me trying to do the carpenters job or the mechanics job..something u call DIY..i respect other peoples trade or profession... I know you are a pro having solved a lot of issues here without saying how which defeats the purpose of this thread-read all my posts,im among just a few that give incisive step-by-step procedures here with even real life situations to illustrate it(eg the issue of the adaptor where i used 3men of the same age but different body masses)because that is ow i was taught...i can give 99% of the solution free and i have the right to reserve 1%(which is the most important)to myself which keeps me relevant in competition..i never claim to know all and i work with other professionals too..so pls wats there to hide..a guy here(emeka) called me 2wks ago,a DIY guy..he dint only want me to solve his problem..he wanted more knowledge(password removal)..i gave him the software, conducted a teamviewer session of hrs and in return he paid 3k...in the future, when some here or around him has similar problem,he can make his money back and more..i liberated him because he had adequate skills, knowledge to follow his diy adventure... -your response seems like someone who wants something in return for fixing issues-there are certain issues that can be done free...alot of pple can attest to my work as free or almost free....then some major procedures that can never be free..ask ard,i do some procedures live on teamviewer for hrs(is internet free?)i even call them back when they run out of credit(is that free?)i dont run a charity organisation yet neither am i "LANIYUN" or bill gates..even bill gates sells all his product and u can only get "free support" only when u have their products.. besides,i dont compel anyone to pay me....many have never even called back..im a professional and sadly,i must get paid.. while i worked in DANA,my boss admired my kind nature and how i always wanted to solve everyone ones computer issue...then he advised:these pple would never tell u the real state of their laptops so be careful it dont give up on u..ironically,months later...his friends laptops motherboard got spoilt(every engineer confirmed it)...the guy said until my boss confirms it would he give up on it so it was sent down to our allen office..some cleaners later stole it from our office...u wont believe the guy made it a very big issue and denied his laptop wasnt dead...like play,he made the whole i.t department pay 50k for a dv6000...that was supposed to be a free service -Help with issues or advice they see a pro if you think it cant be fixed with text words-fellow nairalanders, pls help me answer this one o.....read my posts...i am one of the first people that started fighting my colleagues on letting people "meet a pro or hardware technician" i have nothing more to prove....i make my money from mostly retail pos database, disaster recovery(which is hardly mentioned here)...lets do business instead.. i remain SAME Ol' G(benga).....Gbenga Odusina....da yan mo! |
bestdeals0:u can call me on 08061679732 for quick response and assessment |
OjusAmos:forgive me for asking...how is that ever possible?i equally think you aint aware the only way u can make a transition from a 32bit to 64bit is by only a clean format...so if "mr too know" doesnt mind a wipe out..he cld go ahead but he wishes to rescue his files then he had thread carefully on being advised...its more technical |
Tickles001:The laptop is hp 8510p runs on Windows 7 32bit and I intend installing windows 7 64bit you intend or "you intended"...dont be misleading.....be truthful,u obviously ran the 64bit upgrade on the existing 32bit...i have decided here that i wont be part of this kinda of "diy" problems again..let the pros do their work..i would never simulate being a surgeon to make a heart transplant just cuz i saw the tutorial video on youtube or google cuz when complications like what u have happens..its nairaland u run to and expect miracles...and in the end "u say thank u" or send "200 naira credit".. |
juzo98:just goto the hp website:search for the driver page for your laptop then download the usb3.0 drivers..... thats all |
adetwin:more to this.....scan the backed up data from a clean system with a strong antivirus(along with all the removable devices u may have used on the system) else the infection would be restored when u transfer ur files back to the system.. method 2:remove ur hard drive and scan it as a removable from a clean system method 3..prepare a rescue live cd on a clean system that contain up-to-date updates from a strong "licensed"(not all those free craps u install)antivirus...then boot ur system with it at startup |
chuksmad:thanks for the additional detail...i totally forgot about connector... this one of the other few causes of HARD DISK(3f0)error....but its a rare one... |
all4naija: ![]() ![]() ![]() out of the whole epistle...na only inferiority complex u cld highlight..i understand why again.. but then...i continue to ![]() |
all4naija:i strongly believe u have an inferior complex....and i can understand why...but im mature enough to stay calm.. before u can conclude that someone shd change a harddisk,u have to be damn sure all other options have failed.. now lets assess it together from the psalmdaves post: Please my laptop is empty....no OS..and I wanna install Windows 8.1 but after I inserted d windows 8.1 disk I don't see anything apart from -he said no os(no boot device)..possible causes: ..bad hard drive/partition ...new or formatted drive ...differrent filesystem then he went on to further mention "but after I inserted d windows 8.1 disk I don't see anything apart from" a windows 8.1 disk already contains boot files needed to startup/install a system...so why did his system continue to show boot device not found(from the picture' possible causes are: 1..his boot sequence doesnt have cdrom on priority one.. 2..a bad cd would be bypassed even if it was on priority one. 3...a boot order in uefi mode would never boot from any of these devices(that the point that eluded u and made u think it was hard disk problem) 4...a secure boot is enabled 5...a legacy support is disabled..(in other word cfm) 6..in some rare laptop bios...quick boot is enabled... ur 3fo error...is not caused by only a bad harddisk/partition but other factors too arising from the aboved mentioned points 3-5. until u have successfully tested all these options can u now suggest from minimal options to maximum options(replacement) think abt it,even if a hard drive is bad,the installation cd would still run but would stop on the harddisk detection page and stating detailed reasons.. ur own kind doctor would have killed all ur patients by either suggesting a replacement or formatting for every little thing u minimally diagnosed... for me,im a surgeon....i love to carry detailed tests, observations and diagnosis before i make important decisions.. ur asking me wat i know about efi(nawa o,see as nairaland forum don mix "madmen" with sane people)..no braggin bro..we aint on the same grounds on any level u can imagine! |
all4naija:so?does hard disk 3f0 mean hard disk crash?no! i dint wan say much before but i will now...so u can learn... the answer is between uefi, secure boot options.....in addition legacy support.... find it.... |
psalmdave:your boot priority is not set to boot from cd...ur windows boot manager is still the active and 1st boot device... enter ur bios...make a snapshot of it so we can advise(im currently having the same problem tutoring lammhandsome)..as efi and uefi settings can be a handful.... |
megn:there are many factors responsible for these starting with ram, invalid entries,antivirus(avast)......so its hard to diagnose properly from within this forum... |
chucksbadt:its very normal in windows 10..mine was like that for a long time till i removed auto update...windows 10 uses a wifi/metered connection type..so it downloads it cummulatively when the connection is present....ie 76% means the current status level |
ali baba-another hypocrite.... if amber rose invited him for just a nite...would he refuse her.... besides nigerians think like illiterates atimes....what amber said was mutual:who she likes and who likes her....there was no discrimination whatsoever |
jaysleem:on a second thot....i would give u the support u need...i think i know what may have happened...probably a problem i faced 2months ago....u have accidentally modded the iso from installing it from a usb 3.0 port(usb port with blue color) or "failure of Windows installer to remain its detection to the USB drive" ...if im correct....the error is "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. " This problem happens to all new version of updated Windows installer..... solution 1: When Windows is asking for driver, just click Cancel. You will be brought back to the welcome screen. At the welcome screen, remove your USB drive, insert it back to DIFFERENT USB PORT. Click Install Now again. The installation process will be like usual. solution 2: disregard all the installation files u currently have and find an old iso(u havent used on the syetm ur currently working on....i imaged an working usb installer and thats what i still use till date.. solution 3: use an installer cd... |
jaysleem:If u know this much dual booting, installing then why are u still here?u DIY guys are a handful.here are tips needed for ur continued mission to space: Ur boot loader /BCd is corrupt.find a way to repair it or reformat it.goodluck |
