My chairman thank you for your response, but I couldn't see anything like " visual keyboard" as you said. I don't know if it's because I'm using windows 8. I have tried all you said but it's still the same. The problem also affected my 'CAP LOCK' button. When i press cap lock to write in capital letter, it will write in small letters; if i off it to write in small letters, it will write in capital. If there is a way i can restore the system without loosing my files, i will appreciate it my chairman

let me enlighten u a little......hackers that write malicious codes aint dumb...they are well aware of all the counter measures u can use..a trojan has penetrated ur system..do u tink tink he aint aware there is a virtual keyboard(on-screen keyboard) on ur system which can quickly be disabled using only this simple instruction (del %windir%\system32\osk.exe) in just a bat file then disable ur antivirus from detecting it..a good programmer doesnt leave anytin to chance...the aims and objectives must be met..every application,process has an address and a name residing on ur system guided by certain rules(group policy) which can be easily broken...the simple question is "how"?and until u figure that ow then u can become like them..
first,i wld advice u not to get online until u properly disinfect ur system...i dont know what instructions the intrusion contains...some programmers just like to Bleep u up just for the fun of it while others really want important info..
let me add to what the dude was trying to say..it wld only work temporarily....its called ON-SCREEN KEYBOARD and not virtual keyboard..u can easily type it and search....but does it solve the prob?

its not abt ow much but just showing appreiation for pples time..a gal called me here from ph...i spent 2hrs online teaching her ow to even download teamviewer and eventually connecting to the system to correct other issues i met on it....she said she was unemployed and as a good gesture she just transferred 500 credit to me...its not a need for me but it served as a token of gratitude.thats manners!
im a professional and pros get paid....pple shdnt just use nairaland as an emergency line for the stupid and careless decisions they make...let the pros do their work..its not easy to be an entrepreneur in this country and the only way we can stay alive is the service we provide(i give props to the owners of this forum,really i dont know ow he makes his money but to make this available to reach out to others "free" is quite amazing)

for ur info,i normally charge 5k and above to remove passwords depending on the complexity(online pw found on win 8 and later) then a guy calls me for 5days keeping me on the fone for atleast 10mins/call everyday and i felt for him that i had to trade some secrets free and he got all his files back and in the end..it was so convenient for him to just say "thank u"..
pls dont get me wrong,i do a lot of charity here(alot can affirm to that).when i equally have a headache,i can quickly use panadol....but as the brand reads:"when symptom persist,consult a doctor" and i do and not to get on google and start looking for a solution...

just hit f8..enter safe mode(i recently read windows 8.1 and later may not enter safe mode again using f8)so when u get to that repair screen,look for restore and restore it to a date before u actually made the new installations and ur pc wld be up and running again..
here is an advise to pple that are installing new hardware,software or updating:carefully read the requirements of such before proceeding....it may not be compactible...
intel celeron is one of the most useless architecture in the processor class,if u over stress it...it wld choke due to overheating....

meet a hardware tech...im not sure flex has anytin todo wit a vertical line on the screen...it simply wont remove it...u screen has a defect now arising from shock,magnetic disturbance(when u put it close to magnetic components like speakers etc)and wld eventually need a replacement..

Please someone should help me out with this issue on my HP 250 Laptop.
Recently, I was working with my laptop when an automated message popped-up, before I could read what it says, I mistakenly clicked "ok". Then when I finished with the work, then laptop entered administrative lock as usual, but when I wanted to unlock it again with my password, i was constantly receiving "WRONG PASSWORD".
NOTE: This was the password i've been using all the while.

Then on a close look on the password, I discovered that the number that is contained in my password has been replaced with a symbol. That is, my password is B**4***l, the number "4" was replaced with this "$" instead. This has been the problem why the system refused to unlock. All the numbers in the system, when clicked will display symbol instead of the number. I suspect it was the "ok" i clicked when a message popped up caused the disarrangement of my keyboard.

So please prof, how do I correct this problem? I mean, how do I bypass entering the password to gain access to my system or possibly restore the system without losing my files so i can gain access into my system?

CLICKJACKING!!..U have been hit by a adware..(fancy banner with an incredible story or alert...eg ur system is infected or may contain multiple errors)..when u click,for some,u get a download that actually injects ur system with the trojan...others,u will use ur hand to do urself by installing it they it hijacks ur system and registry...here is an alert to fb users,when u see a banner with a fancy story like "see munachii abii naked"(even me,would be tempted to open it cuz im her no1 fan)it then directs u to a page that says "u must share first" before u can read....
bypassing is quite easy(less than 5mins)..confirm ownership and pls dont be like the nl guy(mike)who called me and we spent 5-6days removing his pw for a 5min procedure(we cldnt eventually but we retrieved all his files).....it was a learning process for me too...
1..he used the built-in administrative account as his main account
2..he has only a guest account as spare(i cldnt elevate his privilege to administrator using all the tricks in the books)why?;
3..he is using windows 7 home premium(limited features)
4..he is in calabar with no internet to even send him required files
so pls if u meet all the above criteria...PLS DONT CALL ME(its quite impossible to help pple from a distance esp when all the required resources aint available)and in the end,all u get is a thank u....thats neva encouraging!

I have got issues with my laptop hp 650.

1. When I put on and its in use, it laptop just goes off. Bought a new battery and since then it still does it but not as frequent as before.

2.Now when I connect my ac adapter to my system it does not last 5 mins it goes off.. but when I use it on battery it works until the battery dies. Si I can't uae my laptop and at the same time my ac adapter.

i suspect u are having charging problems....if u place ur cursor on ur battery bar.....u wld likely see "plugged in,not charging"
the mouth of a hp 650 uses a rare new design(some pple call it blue mouth)..very sensitive,scarce and expensive.(new is 15k)im yet to see the china model of it...
make a screenshot of the battery bar message with the cursor on it when plugged in

looking too old for such stunts...she shd know she aint fine and kinda skinny...

dont mind him....there is no need to format it..thats a BSOD(bluescreen of death)..caused by a few factors...mainly hardware..

make a snapshot of the error message.....and paste here..
u can equally check the update source...make sure its on kaspersky lab update servers

it surely can...but i wld advise u upgrade ur ram to 4gig for better performance...as u will be running 64bit on it....when ur antivirus and other core programs share the 2gig..u system would become unbearably slow

use internet download manager for downloading ur movies.....that way u can resume them even after a "cut"..
u can send me ur email for the latest vesrion..
as for ur modem...if its a usb modem,its possible the port is slack or u dont av good reception in ur area..nowadays,most pple use wifi or mobile wifi hotspot from their fones

let me quickly correct something...different laptop makes have different keys to enter bios...for some esc,others f10,f2 even hp uses esc for startup first then corresponding key...
so u have to figure out what key corresponds to ur laptop model..
moreso, downgrading would be easy as a clean install would do....

I googled the problem and I saw that it was a minor thing to fix. I was required use a bootable flash to solve the problem.

The main problem now is that the system can't boot from flash nor cd-rom. I've played around with the BIOS setup and I couldn't still boot from external storage



Please Help with suggestions and solutions.

EXPERT MODE:the last option is to remove the hard drive and save it to as system as external....he would partition it as 5gb(needed to contain installation files) then set it as "active".....

at the moment i suggest u leave the laptop and let an engineer continue from where u are(since u cant get in safe mode)...u might accidentally call up the recovery partition and u will lose all ur data...
just relax ur mind and join the sallah people for now....it would definately work

I want to downgrade it to Windows 7.

Now am thinking if there's a way I can backup the windows 8.1 so that I can easily go back to it when I want to.

Been thinking if System Image Backup will be the best to do, but am not sure how it works, if I can still restore it when am on Windows 7.

...I left my system on sleep mode only for me to come back and I met it off...as in none of the indicating led was on...after about a week...I came back to the system and plugged it...it didn't show any light(led)....I have tried everything even bought two new chargers...pls help

first the constant use of sleep or hibernation till ur battery runs flat can be damaging...especially when u have music,movies or an active application running...the memory block addresses have to be referenced back on resume...
secondly,if uare not not going to use ur system for a while(say a wk)..its always advisable u remove the battery so it doesnt discharge totally while in the system...(if u notice a new system battery is never inserted until its ready to be activated...the seller may not sell it for months but the moment u put it in and charge,it gets working right away)
first aid...if u can remove the ram carefully,on after the other then re-insert it back)
more importantly,let a hardware tech seee it thru for u..they have all these heatguns that can be used on the board

I bought a laptop. Hp 250g3. Preinstalled with windows 8.1 single language.
There is a CAD software i want to install but it doesnt support windows 8.1 and it was the reson i bought the laptop in the first place.

I was recommended to downgrade to windows 7. But I heard a lot of issues with drivers when one downgrade as the win 8.1 drivers wnt wrk.

So am wondering hw true is this, and how can i get this problem solved. Does drivers differ with os versions and where can i download hp250 win 7 drivers without stress, if the claim is right.

who was the quack that asked u to downgrade a whole computer because of CAD....simpliest option was to run it in windows 7 compactibility mode..

I have tried deleting and reinstalling , but still the problem is still there.

I use windows defender as antivirus and I still have alot of space in my local disk.

yea,i forgot that "baggage issue"...initially i was offended when my ex first referred to my kids as baggage....but i got used to it and asked her to even try and get pregnant first to know ow it feels before she starts pointing fingers.....baggage of blessings(a boy and a girl) i later corrected her to..
moreso,nowadays we must test the product before getting into a contract ie u must be pregnant before u get married.....that way im assure the product is good before purchase so we dont start struggling in marriage...i remember u said u dont wan suffer for my past mistakes.guess i dont want to myself...
