and do u know why?cuz thats an inside job..

the drivers are already embedded in ur operating system,so it would search and install itself..just follow these steps:
while in device manager
1..un-install all the universal serial bus controller(see image below)
2..wen done,find the icon above "scan for new hardware"(see install image below as well)

What BVN will b used for is confirming you are who you claim to be in banks. For example, instead of asking for driver's licence that we know can be faked, banks will just ask you to put your finger on a finger scanner. End of story! You can not be Aina and claim you are Ojo again.

Where are you getting this info? I work in the banking industry. Though am not an IT person, I know the purpose the BVN is meant to serve. People now come to Bank with fake documents that will fool anybody till the owner of the account start shouting he/she did not authorise any withdrawal. With BVN, when they scan your fingerprint, they know who you are! They know the accounts you can withdraw from. You can't impersonate another person in the bank. If BVN will lead to your account being compromised, then any rogue banker can send your BVN to his/her accomplice and drain your account as bankers that has your account number or name can see your BVN.

I'm into it so let me correct u..cyber crime is well organized..it's only fools,greedy pple and or God just wants u to be caught..there is something called reverse engineering..pple find a way to exploit the system.eg Oyinbo made programs to like ip concealer to hide ur computer details so that hackers don't break into ur system..I'm this part of the world,that same program is what pple use to fake they are In the us and even scam they pple the program was built to protect..if ur boss is a participant in a multi Naira scam and he instructs u to make a payment witout a bvn authorization citing he is a top customer,wld u query him or the networks equites to facilitate the authorization fails,won't u switch to manual mode?

A fool on Nairaland made an advert of 5g for 1500..so u decided to call him but as I asked many questions,he replied angrily,pls don't call me again and he dropped the fone...I used trucaller to trace the number and it came out as joy connectt..we called again wit another number and he realised I was the one and dropped angrily..so tell me,if he had scammed me,do u tink his registration details(bvn) with mtn or ncc is enuf to catch him...yeye!

As far as i know,Nigeria is not yet ripe for all these ADVANCED TECHY STUFF we do.Do we have enough communication security,do we have enough internet security...have people been educated on the importance of all these and how to safeguard their data,info and personal stuffs( what about those who are illiterates,those aged men and women in the villages and towns,the ignorant youth who dosnt understand how all these works).What we want it to do this and that,CBN will wake up one day to issue an order ( which will turn to be a problem to the masses).Internet banking is porous in Nigeria,even face to face banking has its loopholes too.Even NCC has not even helped ordinary mobile phone users,have the ensured our information is safe.

Good point..pls let me add to ur fears..not so long ago,sim registration exercises were carried out..it was a thorough process of data capture of finger print,maiden name,and face capture...so pls tell me,why is mtn insisting that data registration was partial,incomplete or wasn't done as claimed by ncc...why are they being fined(obvious they don't relieve in the exercise been repeated)..it's injustice..who is in charge of all these data..wer are they kept..?im into I.t and I know te importance of such database esp wen it gets into wrong hands..we get a lot of spam calls;u might tink it's some1that knows u that's behind it..it may simply e a fallout of this misplaced data..

The quickest way inexperienced pros wld tell u is to FORMAT which wld work...
The technical solution is:
-go to ur device manager
-uninstall all ur usb drivers and let it re-install them again..
That's like 5mins as compared to 30-45mins

Hello, my laptop ( hp2000, core i3) had a problem with the screen light and the engineer I gave said it was a board problem.
After trying to "work" it, he suggested buying a new one.
He said Intel board is hard to find ( and more expensive) and the one he was able to get was, according to him, "AMA Dual Core".
I know nothing about boards.

Please is it wise to go with him and what about the performance of the "AMA" board, in terms of software receptability, game plays and the rest in comparison with the Intel I was using before?
And what do you think about the price going for 22k?

I just called my engineer to relate ur problem to him.he said ur engineer to retain ur core i3 motherboard(25k) so why is he transforming an Intel core i3 to an amd dual core(that's a lower processor stepping).he maintained that it's the same processor seat but not a good idea changing to amd as ur windows may not boot up..

Helo,there is a question no one has asked u?what were the problems u initially encountered before u returned it back to the company?wa it hardware or software related?
Obviously,the recovery partition is not present and in some cases,u are allowed to make recovery disk set just once.so let's forget the take of factory settings..
U dint even mention the os..activating any windows is too easy and that freezing can be caused by a few factors(antivirus,memory and 3rd party softwares).
IF u keep formatting and re-formatting then the lifespan of ur hard disk is affected...
Just get teamviewer and get online and I can help diagnose the other problems if they are not hard ware related

there are different ways to format ur system(atimes,i even make a boot partition from the hard disk if usb,cdrom are not present)..some of them i may not be able to explain...the situation which dictate which method to use..

i had a customer with this issue last week,it was a shopspeed all-in-1 system...i dint have time to diagnose what the cause was but as i re-formatted the system..everytin was fine again..it may work for u also..
i remember an old case where i inserted a usb stick inside a usb port and there was a warning " Power surge on the USB port" and when u open the message..it warned the port may stop working...im yet to read if this is the cause....
backup ur system and re-format and pls lets know the results while i investigate the cause..

ok...u can use a driver cd but it can be confusing atimes if u dont av proper knowledge of how drivers work..in some cases,u'd see updates found for existing drivers and when u click on install....ur sytem may fail to boot and have a bluescreen...
in ur case,i suggest u un-install the existing drivers first then use the driver cd and desist from installing updates from the driver cd(create restore point first) or u can get another working system and download the drivers then transfer to ur system to install it...
i had the same case today..it was a compaq 620...the timing was co-incidental that i initially thot he was "akosxxx"

i have a compaq 615 laptop whc i just upgraded the windows to windows 8 from 7. And since then my wireless button won't turn blue. seriously i regret upgradin to windows 8. i want to know maybe thrz something i could do to turn on my wireless ( i already tried the wireless /airplane mode option clickin the change PC settings on Windows 8 ) or if i could get it ON (i.e wireless) installing Windows 7

there is no need downgrading back to windows 7.just follow these steps:
1..un-installall the current wifi drivers
2.goto to the manufacturere's website
3.search for the model of ur system there...goto the download drivers page
4..check the operating system box for the windows 8 version u installed..then download all the corresponding wifi drivers there
5..if u cant find windows 8 there....just click on windows7 and download the wifi drivers(be sure u are downloading 32bit for 32bit and 64bit for 64bit)
i just checked for u- "windows 8 is not supported"
6..dowload the windows 7 drivers and install ...in some rare cases,before u install;
i..right click and goto properties
ii..goto compactibility and choose "run this program in compactibility mode for...windows 7"
iii..click ok then install

Try to backup your data by removing the hardisk and connect to any other computer. That is a sign of failing hardisk

there is an easier way to do this than removing his hard disk(he might just spoil something else)..his hdd or os is either corrupt..
option 1:
adetwin,u can personally supervise the process of him repairing the os(either he brings it to u possibly or he calls u for an incisive on-phone tutorial)
then his files are intact
option2:
i normally run my hard disk regeneration from usb off linux environment on the same laptop...once its successful,the system would just boot normally

symantec is not a standalone application...it has various dependencies..you will have to remove all the applications associated with it completely to have a complete uninstall...
try un-installation and not disabling it so we can eliminate the possibility of the AV as part or the problem..
as an alternative(manual method) to the app i sent...
-search cmd(command prompt)
-right click and run as administrator
-at the c:\ type netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
-restart ur system
