https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKANY09hBQA Governor Fubara is the leader of the APC in Rivers State, but he would need to coordinate with every other person in the state. I don't choose who to support in the state's primary election. If Fubara emerges as the APC candidate, I'll support him. If he loses the primary, I'll sympathise with him and go with the person who wins the primary election. - APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda

But you need to put systems in place to avoid state capture or presidential capture because, for example, the current government has, from what I can see, at least five cabals within the presidency,” he said . “And the interesting thing about one of the cabals actually is headed by the president himself, based on my own analysis. “So, in this current administration, at least there are five groups. There is the Chief of Staff group headed by Femi Gbajabiamila. And by that I mean not just him but there are people in that circle like the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike and the National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjO0n0IeUiQ An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Alwan Hassan, has claimed that 95 per cent of ministers who served under former President Muhammadu Buhari should be behind bars, alleging that their tenure was a period of unchecked power and alleged corruption. Asked about recent scrutiny of Buhari-era officials, including ex-Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami and a former Labour Minister Chris Ngige, Hassan said: “95 per cent of the ministers under Buhari should be in jail by now. “There has never been a time when ministers got free hands without supervision like Buhari’s eight years in office. “You’ve heard what people are saying. The former president even told them to keep their documents ready because there will come a day when they’ll be asked to explain themselves. Maybe he has seen what they are doing.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IWlk-ZdbYk Tensions in Rivers State escalated after Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Martin Amaewhule, accused Governor Siminalayi Fubara of deliberately misinforming the public about his engagement with lawmakers, warning that the governor’s comments risk reigniting political instability in the state. The development comes just a day after Fubara dismissed reports of a fallout with state and federal legislators, describing suggestions of a rift as “pure lies” during a public address on Wednesday. As reported, Amaewhule said the governor misled the public when he claimed he had been unable to meet with members of the Assembly. “First and foremost, the governor lied when he said he hasn’t been able to meet with members of the Rivers State House of Assembly.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arXlh4zUvhE The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kabiru Turaki, has said FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike and members of his faction should be grateful for being expelled. He said the decision by the party to expel high-profile members, including FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, was a legal necessity and a way to assist them in joining other parties. He explained that the party’s rules do not allow dual membership, and those who have been expelled can now pursue political interests elsewhere. “So what we did, by giving them those certificates of expulsion, is to assist them. When they go to register with any other political party, they have something to show to those political part

He accused Wike of being the major force behind the crisis tearing the party apart. Ogidi made the allegation, saying the behaviour and actions of Wike and Samuel Anyanwu’s faction of the PDP were “overboard” and unlike anything he had ever seen since joining the PDP. “No, no, this type of behavior, no, no, I’ve never seen that kind of behavior. It’s gone overboard. What they’re doing is overboard. Wike, Samuel Anyanwu and the rest. It’s overboard,” he said. He insisted that although PDP had experienced internal disagreements in the past, the current situation was on a different level entirely.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has hinted at backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election. The endorsement was announced by the party’s National Chairman, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, during a press briefing in Abuja. Ezeokenwa highlighted APGA’s ideological alignment with the Tinubu administration, describing both parties as rooted in progressive governance. He also referenced Tinubu’s recent outreach to APGA—most notably his visit to Anambra State where he wore APGA insignia—as well as the appointment of APGA stalwart, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, as a minister. While affirming the party’s political backing for Tinubu’s re-election bid, Ezeokenwa clarified that a formal adoption of Tinubu as APGA’s presidential candidate would require ratification by the National Executive Council (NEC). Nonetheless, the endorsement itself reflects a clear strategic alignment. This move builds on earlier signals from Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo—APGA’s sole governor—who publicly endorsed Tinubu as far back as May 2025 during the President’s Anambra visit. Subsequent statements in August and September 2025 by APGA’s national publicity secretary reinforced the party’s position, rooted in long-standing ideological compatibility and the 22-year personal relationship between Soludo and Tinubu. https://voicenews.com.ng/apga-hints-at-backing-tinubu-in-2027-presidential-race/

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has scheduled fresh meetings of its National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) for 15 and 16 December, respectively, in what party insiders describe as renewed efforts to resolve internal disagreements and strengthen party structures ahead of key political decisions for 2026. In an official notice circulated on Wednesday and endorsed by the party’s national leadership, the APC said the meetings would be held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, in line with Articles 12.5 and 12.3 of the party’s constitution. According to the announcement, the National Caucus is expected to convene on Monday, 15 December, at 6 p.m., while the NEC meeting will follow on Tuesday, 16 December, at 12 noon. Although the communiqué did not reveal the agenda, both meetings traditionally deliberate on major political, administrative and strategic issues affecting the ruling party. The National Caucus—comprising the President, Vice President, Senate President, Speaker of the House of Representatives, state governors, the national chairman, and select past leaders—serves as an advisory body. It typically provides broad policy direction and makes recommendations for NEC approval. The NEC, regarded as the highest decision-making organ of the party after the National Convention, is responsible for ratifying major policy decisions, approving appointments into the National Working Committee (NWC), resolving disputes within party organs, and endorsing adjustments to political strategy. The last NEC meeting was held in July, during which Nentawe Yilwatda emerged as the party’s National Chairman. Party sources suggest that the December meetings may focus on reorganising internal structures, reviewing preparations for upcoming electoral activities, and addressing lingering tensions among party factions. https://voicenews.com.ng/apc-schedules-national-caucus-nec-meetings-for-december-15-16/
