A former Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal, is determined to work for the defeat of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Tambuwal, a member of the opposition coalition described the plan to oust Tinubu’s government as a “national consensus”.

“I am fully involved in a process — democratically and lawfully — that will end, by the grace of God, in sending this government out of office,”

“With the help of God and Nigeria, we will send these people out of office,” the former speaker of the House of Representatives said, dismissing claims that the coalition is a pro-northern Nigeria agenda to remove President Tinubu come 2027.

“It is a national consensus. Is Peter Obi from Northern Nigeria? Is Aregbesola not from Osun State?” he said, arguing that “there should be a change of guards in Aso Rock through a constitutional democratic process on May 29th, 2027”.

Datti Baba-Ahmed believes Nasir El-Rufai’s allegations that the Federal Government is paying bandits should be taken seriously, suggesting a questioning of the former governor of Kaduna State.

“If the so-called office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) would take this statement with levity, then Nuhu Ribadu was never a policeman; he is not a qualified lawyer; he should not be in that office,” he said on the show, dismissing the rebuttal by the NSA office over El-Rufai’s comment.

To Rivers people, he said, “You proved that democracy belongs to the people, that power must flow from the consent of the governed, and that no obstacle can weaken the resolve of a united citizenry. ”

The administrator commended the electorate for their discipline and active participation in last Saturday’s poll, even as he praised the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission for delivering a transparent, credible, and rancour-free electoral process.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, on Monday mocked his critics over the outcome of the local government election in Rivers State.

Wike said contrary to critics, he influenced the outcome of the election in his local government (Obi Akpor) which saw the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP winning.

Speaking during his monthly media chat in Abuja, Wike said some people are angry that he didn’t influence other areas during the election.

He said: “So, Wike is very popular today, is it not the same people I hear in Arise, AIT, and Channels that look, Wike can’t say he is going to determine what happens in others, he can only determine what happens in his local government.

“I have determined in my own local government, I’m a member of PDP and won in my local government

“You blow hot and cold, I have influenced and campaigned for my people to vote for PDP and my people have voted for PDP.

“Now you are angry that APC won in the other local government, which means why did I not extend my influence in the other local government I didn’t have.

“The local government determines who wins what in the state, mind you, every election has its own perception the way you look at it, you should know what is happening, are people happy with what is happening in the PDP? Did PDP contest in those local governments where APC contested?”

Moment armed men believed to be members of Operation Udo Ga-Achi, also known as the Agunechemba Vigilante Group, invaded a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) lodge in Anambra State and violently assaulted some corps members.

The Federal Government has banned its Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) from engaging private printing firms for official jobs, directing them instead to use the Federal Government Printing Press.

A leaked memo, signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, and obtained exclusively by the villainfostratic, cited security concerns and recent cases of confidential documents being exposed as reasons for the decision.

According to the circular, all official printing, including gazettes, security documents and other sensitive materials, must henceforth be handled by the Government Printing Press under the Ministry of Information and National Orientation.
