Considering the fact that ASUU has been on strike since July and has remain adamant to shifting their ground, despite the series of meeting held and the new proposal made to them by the government. It looks like they are ready to see the strike through this year end, so as to be sure whether the government will fully include the sum they agreed upon in our next budget or not. Meanwhile, in the course of the meetings between the Fg and ASUU, the Fg has it claims that the agreement wasn't in this year's budget and promised to fully include them in the next budget. . Just my own thought, what do you see too? |
Jessicavizzy: twice, but d ist jamb he didnt reach d cutoff. He should not make the mistake of accepting that "An'mal watever watever" though his PUTME but then he should start preparation towards next year UTME and try scoring high both in UTME & PUTME next year. That course is too far from what his dream is... |
Crystalbelle: when u say basic admission, are u referring to the predegree programme?Yep, but in UNIPORT it is called Basic studies. |
The accommodation fee is now 20,350. U can chek the ecampus to comfirm. And according to a staff @ ecobank (i dont know if it applies to all banks), they shuld click on uniport fee collection 2013/2014. ProfChris10: Hmmm no 2nd choice candidates to be admitted. Why would they call us for post ume by the way, It would have been better if only first choice candidates was invited for post ume. I guess Nigeria education system is really crumbling. Right now i'm very furious. I guess i should not put my hope in uniport again. GOODBYE THREAD. #sobs#next time endeavour not to make the mistake of using a fed. Uni as second choice, they hardly give.... |
40K ke? Even nurses wit diploma working in my Local govt on level 6 get more than 40K not to talk of State govt rxist on level 8.
which state? |
aieromon: The amount reduces as you move from the North down to the South and the West. I know Katsina state pays a minimum of N40,000 with furnished accommodation (as long as you aren't posted to the state capital).k. |
IamChiboi: It varies from state to statek. But which amount is the least? |
otokx: hope you do not have to do it all over again.I pray it don't happen that way. |
1. . 2. If they(ASUU) shuold be given all that then what should be done to the POLYs, COEs and others? . 3. All these is as a result of the incompetency of the first set of people asigned to oversaw the issue back then in 2009.. Because, they should have calculated how much was our annual budget before approving |
timpaker: please enlighten me.Currently, their concern is their earned allowance. They agreed to start with the N100b govt gave to dem for funding but insisted that their allowance must be paid completely. |
timpaker: Many people may not know this but the strike has nothing to do with lecturers allowances or welfare as wildly speculated, the issue is adequate funding of the universities. All ASUU want is adequate funding and nothing more.OUTDATED HUMAN BEING! |
berem: There's nothing outrageous about the money. The education sector needs proper funding. If our leaders can send their kids to foreign schools that are well funded, why should they not equally fund our own universities to meet up to international standard? The money required is small compared to the excessive looting going on in the presidency.RUBBISH |

Hearme: if you don't pay them, they will also not work or they will begin work on assumption of having done the work you didn't pay them for. E.g if a school was a month to exams before the strike/ no work, no pay policy. Whenever they resume, they will begin work on assumption that they have taught, done exams and are ready for a new session. How about that? Academics are not those in whom such policies work, the government will only keep compounding the problem.am sorry but your explanations makes no sense and can't ever happen cos if it happen then the students would be given a forged marks/grading. |

ojingbe: The Federal Government has invoked the ‘no work, no pay’ labour rule against striking university lecturers as their industrial action enters the 93rd day with no end in sight.Good one! You don't get paid without working. Lets all(student & lecturers) feel it! Some ASUU branch chairmen told Daily Sun that text messages were sent to vice chancellors to apply the ‘no work, no pay’ labour rules to academic staff on strike and that the decision had affected the payment of salary of non-academic staff in the university system. Why? Please they should be paid! According to one of the branch chairmen, he and his exco confronted their university management over the salary delay and the he showed them the text message asking them not to pay salary to ASUU members.who do these people(ASUU) think they are?- the "all in all" of universities? Time shall tell! Also, the ASUU chairman, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Dr. Biodun Badmus, told Daily Sun that the vice chancellor got text messages not to pay salaries and revealed that the university had not received August salary from government.Day Dreamers! Meanwhile, the union has faulted the conduct of Post-UTME examination by the universities during the strike without the involvement of academic staff and urged the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to intervene on the issuethis's just the beginning! You(ASUU) don't own the university! |
Okey o,.... Which ever way sha... They are all God's creation. |
As it is now it seems the Independent(Matured) Nigeria is 53 and the Nigeria(dependent + independent) is 99 |
