Is it required for direct entry students to register 100L GST courses? What is your opinion regarding a failed elective course even when one has exceeded the required credit units for graduation? Thanks.

In order to be eligible for graduation for Undergraduate offered in the Department of Computer Science and has a Direct entry student, you are required to have completed all the GST (100 Level inclusive), core Faculty and Departmental courses (200 level – 400 level); CIT389, CIT403 and CIT499.


Then as for the second question, you can still graduate since you have sufficient credit units.

You should however note the number of failed courses will eventually affect your grading, because all failed courses will be used in computing your GPA.

GST TMA was active yesterday morning but later deactivated. As it stands now TMA has not started and there are no official memo about TMA yet. Let keep our fingers cross and watch what will unfold about TMA.

Please note that submission of proposed seminar topics closes on Monday, 4th October, 2021. Whoever doesn't submit his or her proposed seminar topics by Monday will have to wait till next semester i.e 2022/1.


Also, we hereby inform all undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Faculty of Management Science that seminar presentation has been slated to hold on Thursday, 7th October, 2021.

IMPORTANT MATTERS AROUND NOUN


McCarthy students, please be informed that you can start your Teaching Practice (TP) exercise on Monday, 4th October, 2021 if you have registered and gotten an introduction letter.


More so, TP supervisor's list will be released by Friday, 15th October, 2021. Note that, no letter of introduction will be issued to any student after 14th October, 2021.


Similarly, exam clearance for this semester exam has started in Mushin Study Centre, Lagos. Below are the requirement for the clearance exercise:


1. Exam registration slip

2. School fees (remita) receipt

3. Printed e-Wallet

4. Two (2) passport photo

5. Student forms 1 & 2


To sum up, note that registration of courses and exam will end on 14th October while TMA 1 will start on 1st of October.

MINNA STUDY CENTRE

This is to inform seminar students that submission of seminar work has commenced. Please endeavor to submit your work to seminar coordinators on or before Friday 29th October, 2021.

NOUN has started refunding money for Graduation gown. Go to your study centre if you have not seen yours.

DROPPING OF COURSES/EXAMS


We hereby inform you that dropping of course and exam has commenced today, 22nd September, 2021.


More so, dropping of wrongly registered course is usually done at the ICT office in every study centre and the only required document is your registered exam/course slip. Thus, please make sure you have a printed copy of it.


Kindly visit your study centre with evidence of registration i.e registered slip to drop any course. It's applicable to all students and all study centres.


This is the time to drop any weed (unwanted course) among the courses you registered earlier.


Guess what? The fund (money) used to register those wrong or unwanted courses previously will be credited into your e-wallet immediately the ICT staff drop them and there is chance for replacement of courses. We can also help you to drop any course for those who don't want to face the stress of going down to the study centre.
