About 17, 804 fresh students are set to matriculate at the 20th Ceremony of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) slated to hold on Saturday, 15th May, 2021.

The Matriculation Ceremony will be holding simultaneously at the 103 study centres of the university across the federation virtually.

According to the Director, Media and Publicity of the university, Mallam Ibrahim Sheme, the university will be matriculating about 17,804 students, 11,983 of which are the undergraduate and 5,821 freshmen are for the various programmes of the postgraduate across the federation.

The ceremony, he stated, will serve as a platform to formally welcome all freshmen admitted into the university for the 2020/2021 Academic Session.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Olufemi Peters, is expected to welcome the fresh students and matriculate them into the university.

The 2021 (20th) Matriculation ceremony of the National Open University of Nigeria comes up on the 15th May,2021.

This is to notify all students that there will be a compulsory orientation on NOUN matters for both old and new students coming up on the 12th of May, 2021 at 10am.

There will also be a virtual matriculation for 2020 and 2021 admitted students on the 15th of May, 2021.

The centre is setting up a virtual lab for the students who are interested in attending the virtual matriculation at the study centre.
