jfking2005:
my friend, forget the girl and move on fast.
you are only trying to find fault in your present R/shp.
if you hadnt seen her lately will you be considering the failure of your present R/ship?? NO
The succes of every r/shp depend on the two party involve.

my friend Think with your head and stop allowing what you just enjoyed recently to control you.
Just by seeing her in December and immediately you 've started proposing marriage to her and all of a sudden you can't let go off her just in less than 1 monthhuh and you 've started thinking of relocating ??
i dont even know whether you have other plans again where you are abroad rather than just packing your load and come back to stay with the woman, NA WA oooo!!

You left someone more than 5years ago even though you keep contact with her doesn't mean you are the best man in her life but you still feel she is still as innocent as those days and i sensed it very well that She must have told you all that you wanted to hear since she already knew you very well before, now you keep imagine those and you cant sleep except you be by her side.
My friend, i pray you dont make the greatest mistake of your live.
but My advise---Think with your Brain and look around you once again.
you could be right she's telling me what i want to hear, but come to think of it, what if the initial break-up was totally my fault? what if its destiny at work?. in everything i do, i think with my head with little contributions from my emotions.

190:
Its very possible

But what about y'all both current relationships,

what happens, u gon dump them both cos of old flame rekindled,

please let her go, she's not worth it no more!
the present relationship as now become a past relationship cos trust me, i've been wasting my time and energy. its been destined for the rock right from the onset cos of too many differences.

only a dog returns to his vomit. after three years, and in another relationship, it is obviously the flesh talking, not love.
I was actually expecting an odd reply rather sooner than later, but thanx i aint a dog. come to think of it, what if the present relationship is heading no where and the fact that i need to settle down myself? the flesh ain't talking because if thats the case it should be off my mind now that i can't and won't see her for a while. could it be the fact that i browsed it first?

tolahood9:
bro, look within u
bro i have done serious soul-searching and my heart seems to be going in the direction i had always wanted it before the break up.
RomanceOld Flame Rekindled, Is It A Possibility? by samix(op): 7:22am On Jan 05, 2011
I started a relationship with the girl in question back around 2002 or 2003, we dated for over 3 years only to break up after i went for NYSC due to some reasons I now find so silly. The break up was so horrible that families were insulted, but soon after the bust up, we got back into talking terms and remained passive friends. After I finished NYSC I got into a relationship with another girl only to break up about 2 years after, during this period I relocated abroad for my MSc degree precisely september 2007. Since I relocated I never came home to Nigeria only to return in december 2010 for my younger sister's wedding. I was in frequent contact with the first girl over the years and as fate would have it we saw again when I came home to Nigeria and we soon began a relationship in no time after some heart to heart talks. The main issue now is that we are or were both in other relationships with no doubt that she is 90% off the relationship, I even went ahead to ask her to marry me "it might sound funny and stupid but its true". Now I am back where I have been living since 2007 and I feel like relocating back because of her.
My questions are could it be infatuation or is it that i really love this girl? I am really confused
Please all request for is your honest opinion as regards this

that was a red herring and has got nothing to do with the thread
. Yea it's perfectly a distraction but I still think of it unnecessary to boast about degrees we've got on here cos it looks childish.

@Topic

Very interesting discussion and pretty mind boggling. This thread isn't ripe enough for me to drop any comments but i'd like to ask a question anyways :

WHAT IS THE TRUE ESSENCE OF MARRIAGE?
tkb417:
are you close to being remanded in a solitary confinement yet?

1) i meant Posse not pose you dirty illiterate!!!

go learn a word. POSSE!!!!

2) where did i complain about women getting old and still single? did you miss the convo between myself and Creamish? or did you miss my convo with Oyinda? which of them suggest that diatribe you posted. my prob with your initial post was your dumb generalisation about 9ja men and oh lawd , it took you this long to figure out?

ure eternally bereft of any logic and human understanding. I cant stand your mental state, its a shame for someone who bask in self aggrandizement  and yet couldnt decipher the difference between posse and pose in the context i used it

if it were to be in the medieval ages, you shall be a sacrificial lamb to the gods of thunder!

and about the education bit? hahaha

not in your lifetime babes, i dont roll at your peasant level
the billionaires we have ain't educated, bill gate was had no degree b4 he became a billionaire and he's still not educated. education is necessary but not a guarantee of riches and peace of mind

Any girl feeling too old here? I'm available, But come to think of it, everything in this life should be all about happiness, what if these girls haven't found the right guy, most of the blame should be on us guys cos we promise everything good in this world and some girls can't simply see thru because they are too excited to think properly. I use to think girls at 30 are done for until I moved away from that negative country were most peeps think marriage is equals to happiness. @ Nubian, u not too old but if u really choose to get married and u c the right person I think it's better u do it now rather than later. U might IVF is available but it's success rate is small and it's got it's own side effect

Mate, I have stated what I do here since back in 2008 and there are people on NL, several, that know me in real life. They will tell you that by just communicating with me and see me talking about issues, you will be sure the capa is at a different level in menchiness, quality and composure. So calm down.

And yes we are all equal in the eyes of the law but we gaddam fcking aint in reality. A few are intellectuals, majority are foolish. A few are leaders, most are follows. Get it?  cool
listen mate, i am less bothered by who you really are trust me, all am saying in essence is that you need not to brag about anything. keep yourself to yourself and just be good at what you do, i live in the same london as you, i might not be an investment banker like you(so you claim) but trust me am very well ok too and i dont brag(i don't need to tell you were i work but i've got a good job too).
if you really intelligent which i dont doubt, u dont need to be exchanging words right here but it takes wisdom to know that
PoliticsRe: Ibori Arrested In Dubai by samix(m): 3:49am On May 22, 2010
@sagamite,

to you that seems oppresive, maybe and maybe not. from my point of view, you dont need to brag, i have been in many places like that and i have got pictures too and i stand not to claim thats the main entrance to my office, come to think of it, how can one really be sure u r an investment banker cos anyone can come in here n claim to be one?
all im saying in essence is keep urself to urself and as regards ur issue about democracy (allowing foolish people to vote), thats what makes u just a person and we are all equal irrespective of ur level of IQ.
PoliticsRe: Ibori Arrested In Dubai by samix(m): 7:04am On May 17, 2010
@Sagamite,
u need not to oppress anyone but truly u need to be selective with the words u use sometimes, no need hurling abuses at people for having different views from yours no matter how stupid they look to u. i read all ur posts, found some funny but most repetitive. just my piece bruv

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal: The 7th Most Valuable Sport Club In The World by samix(op): 2:49pm On Sep 05, 2009
well saying they are one of the most valuable sport clubs in the world does not mean they have got debt up to their sleeves but when owners decide to sell, then most of 'em if not all are bound to make profit. my beloved arsenal owes because of the new stadium we built and we are really servicing our debt. It has to run for 25 years though,

always read the fine-print. It's all an illusion.

Buncha broke-ass, debt- coolridden clubs!!
mind you, there is no single business in this world that is debt-free and according to forbes', most clubs worth are more than their debt.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Arsenal: The 7th Most Valuable Sport Club In The World by samix(op): 12:25am On Sep 05, 2009
Arsenal happens to be the 7th most valuable sport club in the world and third most valuable football club in the world presently according to facts gathered and collated by forbes', though the most valuable sport club remains Man United and real madrid coming in 6th position. but the likes of chelsea (even with roman's money), liverpool, Man city( even with the sheiks) and barcelona do not come close to first ten most valuable sport clubs in the world.

Man United is worth $1.87 billion and arsenal is worth $1.2billion
