Please allow Sen. Ndume to vibrate all he want, it his constitutional right. The bill will be passed nonetheless. The North is only one part of Nigeria and the rest of the country has kowtow to/sacrifice for them for far too long. It is time to do things that will serve the interest of all Nigerians.

Besides money, he brings his succulent and anointed pr*ck.
A woman only brings pvssy.

Now tell me who brings more? grin

If men set standards, women will be in for a long thing.
Look at it this way, a man gives a woman sxx that she craves and even enjoys more (according to science).
The man loses money, resources, energy, strength, while the woman loses nothing and yet get satisfied.
Women are just manipulative and self centered, and full of double standards.
To them, giving money is a proof of love but they themselves don't give the said money.
Next time, don't waste your time on her likes. They know the truth but have found a way to continue manipulating inpressionable men to think they're the oxygen the world lives on.
Yesterday, Remi Tinubu was pictured with her husband and Joe Biden, president of the United States. If Tinubu was not the president, would Remi ever in her wildest dream think about meeting the president of a first world country? Do you know the number of other powerful connections Remi has gained just for getting married to Tinubu, and the impact on her net worth and social status?
Back at home, their gender, through the office of the governor's wife are controlling millions (as most lobbyists see them as direct access to/influence on their husbands), and even billions, especially when the husband are indisposed like the case of our ex-president in 2010 and very recently in Ondo State. Also, of the 100% of the world female billionaires, at least 95% inherited their fathers wealth or got it as divorce settlement. Heck, so many women, online and offline, who would otherwise have been thoroughly dealt with due to overstepping boundaries, have gotten a free pass due to their husbands reputation and goodwill. These and more are what a man bring to the table and I could go on and on. But ask women what they bring to the table, if they don't turn it into insult/quarrel, they'll bring up shameful and ridiculous lines like their menstrual flow.

They are not all failure. One fair better than the other and I am not out to exonerate OBJ, I did mentioned areas that OBJ failed in my comment and I will continue to do that till tomorrow but comparing a failed government to a government that was on top of her job, it is unfair and untruthful.

Here below is the exchange rate of naira to dollar from 1995 through 2022 for proper comparison:

1995 $1 = N21.89 (N71.70 Black Market Rate)

I hope you have seen that if OBJ and now compare it to what we have today? At official rate today is almost #1,500 while at the parallel market is almost #2,000. How would someone with conscience compare an increment less than #55 to an increment of over a#1,000, if the person is not a wizard or witch.

On the price of fuel increment from 1994 till date:

Abacha-Oct 4, 1994: N15 to N11(price dropped 26.67%)
Abubakar-Dec 20, 1998: N11 toN25 (127.27%)
Abubakar-Jan 6,1999: N25 to N20(price dropped 25 %)
Obasanjo -June 1, 2000: N20 to N30 (50%)
Obasanjo-June 8, 2000: N30 to N22(price drops 26.67%)
Obasanjo-Jan 1, 2002: N22 to N26 (18.18%
Obasanjo-June, 2003: N26 to N42 (61.54%)
Obasanjo-May 29, 2004: N42 to N50 (19.05%)
Obasanjo-Aug 25, 2004: N50 to N65 (30%)
Obasanjo-May 27, 2007: N65 to N75 (15.39%)
Yar’ Adua-June, 2007: back to N65(price drops 15.39%)
Jonathan -Jan 1,2012: N65 to N141 (116.92%)
Jonathan – Jan 17, 2012: N141 to N97 (Price drops 31.21%)
Jonathan – Feb, 2015 N97 to N87 (price drops 10.31%)
Buhari – May 11, 2016: N87 to N145 (66.67%)
Yar’Adua was the only president who did not increase pump price of fuel. He reduced it from N75 to N65.
https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/12/timeline-fuel-price-increments/

Buhari left the price of fuel at #145 but today fuel is being sold between #1,100 to #1,500 depending on your location.

One thing I discovered is, many of you just follow blindly without applying common sense to issue. I will continue to say it, OBJ is not an angel and he will not be but comparing even his first one year in office to this deadly one year regime is comparing death to life.

There is a common saying in Yoruba parlance that says, oju to ma ba ni kale, kin wapin lowuro (the eye that will last you till night would not at early life brings out eye gunk). Tinubu started his government on a very wrong footing and that has destabilized his government, except he is courageous enough to amend his policies because it wouldn't work, as we are oil dependent and foreign goods dependent country. We produce virtually nothing.
Still doesn't change my position about hate and bias, which blinds one to fact and reality because if it is not that, under OBJ according to your data which I couldn't independently verify, exchange rate rose from 22 Naira to 120 Naira (that is a 6x or 600% increase!). Ditto, fuel price rising from 20 Naira to 75 Naira, which is more than 3x or 300%. How you managed to be silent about these facts in your long write up is what I'm still trying to wrap my head around. And you keep talking about Buhari leaving fuel price at 145 Naira. In this same Nigeria? And Goodluck leaving exchange rate at 145 Naira when it is in fact 197 Naira?
I'm afraid I'm going to end this discussion because I can't imagine having a conversation with someone who can go to such a great length to lie and try to revise history just to support failed, evil, and unpatroitic leaders. Goodbye and have a nice one.
PoliticsRe: Accept Part Of Responsibility For Nigeria’s Situation – Akande Tells Obasanjo by sammiewrite(m):
IfnobeGod20:
Mr. Man, thankfully in my comment i did admit some faults of OBJ during his regime. The fault such as do or die politics, monetization of National and State Assemblies and corruption in the power sector. I never see OBJ as angel and I won't see him as one till tomorrow but issue must be placed in perspective and not see a spade as a spoon, instead of agricultural tool.

I asked this millennium question since morning.
Has the do or die politics died done?
Has monetization of National and State Assemblies gone?
Are more money not expended on power sector till date?
If all these questions are still rearing their ugly heads, it means every successive governments come to your the same line and they were not there to reshape and improve the system but to just fulfilled their own ambition.
If the purpose of government is to do for the people what they cannot ordinarily do for themselves but if as at today, we are still singing the same song of what OBJ did wrong 17 plus years ago and at that there is no improvement on those things, then, the country is in a big mess.

Meanwhile, it baffles me that some of you are comparing the economy of OBJ's regime to this Tinubu's regime. That's tantamount to comparing sleep and death.
Yes, OBJ met fuel price per liter at #20 and as at May 26, 2007 the price of fuel per liter was #65. It was on the May 27, 2007 that he increased it to #75, just two days to his handing over to Yar'adua and in less than a month, Yar'adua took it back to #65.
Now, are you comparing the increments between #20 to #75 in 8 years of OBJ to less than two years of Tinubu where the fuel price has gone from #145 to over #1,000 in a country where the purchasing power of the people have gone so low. Eating one square meal is difficult for some people.
It was during OBJ's regime that our inflation was one digit and since then we have not experience such.
Bag of rice was less than #4k then but today a bag of rice hovering between #80,000 to #120,000 depending on your location and the exchange rate wasn't more than #125 as at 2007 but today the exchange rate is almost #2,000 while he met it at #450.
Only untruthful person would descend low to want to compare a robust and futuristic economy OBJ to a dead economy will have today in Nigeria.
In all indices, APC government in the last 9 years have failed the nation.

Idris didn't sing that song because of famine or hunger but he sang the song because of the political killings of that time but records have it that in the history of Nigeria politics, 2015 election recorded the highest number of deaths. Curiously the same Idris sang a song to drag Tinubu to the floor as a result of the biting economy, which was worst that the jaga jaga he sang during OBJ.

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.vanguardngr.com/2024/06/eedris-abdulkareem-drags-adeboye-tinubu-others-in-new-song-emi-lokan/&ved=2ahUKEwjx-aXHpuyJAxVSVUEAHak9L5gQFnoECCQQAQ&usg=AOvVaw39WzFXP_CxgjaC1obwfjjN

It is best for Tinubu and his supporters to own up to their maladministration than shifting blame than a man that fair better in his administration.
Trying to compare a eight year president to a barely one year president? Trying to justify Obasanjo's price increment and criticising BAT's government for the same thing? For your information, fuel was more than 300 Naira and dollar was hovering between 780 - 820 when BAT took over. You also talked about 4k rice and 125 Naira exchange rate during OBJ's time. Can you avail me with the price of a bag of rice and exchange rate during Babangida and Abacha regime compared to OBJ's, since we are now doing comparisons?
You see, it is your dishonesty, and the fact that I can see through your bias for PDP and OBJ, and your hate against anything APC, PMB and BAT, that I wouldn't want to proceed with this discussion. But crucify one and try to absolve the other all you like, but it won't change the fact that they're all failures, and there is no better failure. A failure is a failure

Mr. Man, you're not a realist at all. If dwelling in the past is your major occupation, then, you're a failure personified.
OBJ left office 17 years and some months ago but you people are still saying because of this and that he did is still the problem we are facing today. It means the nation have not progressed since he left office. I thought the purpose of a governor is to build on the successes of previous government and discard their failures or at best fine-tuned them for the overall best of the country.
Well, there's no gainsaying that OBJ's regime is still the best regime this country have witnessed. No doubt there are pockets of maladministration, like do or die politics, monetization of National and State Assemblies and corruption in power sector. But all in all our economy still fair better than the dungeon we are in today.
What you're trying to say is that, despite conceding that Obasanjo used to be everything he is now condemning today and maybe even worst, we should just overlook this glaring hypocrisy because of your bias for him, and instead focus only on the ills of the current and immediate past government? If I get you correctly, you mean it is only you and your camp that can grant clemency to whoever you want but others can't? Sorry, my bad. I guess I should have understand better when you guys would always reference Wole Soyinka for every cult related killings in Nigeria because he formed the first confraternity, but referencing Obasanjo role in our current state as a country is where you lots draw the line.
And for your last paragraph - well, ignorance, just like wailing, is a constitutional right. Fuel price under your Obasanjo more than 3x. And it was under your Obasanjo's regime that Idris Abdulkareem sang Nigeria jaga jaga.

Anybody engaging Obasanjo and his makeshift support base is simply wasting their time. Obasanjo is craving attention (which he is not getting, at least from the person he intended), while his supporters are just the clown and losers we have always known them to be. Obasanjo and his hypocritical supporters can continue to delude themselves with the "better devil/evil" or recency theory, but there is no today without a yesterday. Also, there is nothing as a "better evil/devil." You are either a saint or devil, and baba is not a saint.

If not that Nigeria is a country where privileged people say anything and get away with it. It is also a country where we build strong men as against strong institutions. Otherwise, OBJ should be in the DSS custody by now. Statements like this are capable of causing unrests especially considering current realities. But I get it, even if his statements actually lead to something unpleasant or undesirable, OBJ and the people who are supposed to make him accountable but will not, already have their passports and jets on standby. What a bunch of useless, self-serving leaders.

Ten Hag definitely isn't a good coach nor a tactician.

Its shocking how this team plays. Cant press, cant pass, cant keep the ball and cant defend. Granted that United doeant have excellent players, but you still want to see a pattern of play. More than 2 years in and no style can be identified .

I do not think Brighton and Aston Villa have better players than United, yet these teams have an identity.
Even with all of Tottenham's failings, we see what they're trying to with the high line and relentless press.

His purchases too have been expensive and horrendous.
Let me also add that right from the time Ten Hag took the job, his team have had the problem of losing the ball but being unable to recover it. That's two years of not being able to fix a simple problem. In addition, he can't read games, resulting in ill-timed subsititutions that don't make any impact on the game. The issues are just too numerous to miss, but Ratcliffe (Glaziers 2.0) think differently. The culture of mediocrity and our fanbase are the two problems with United.

With this Ten Hag issue particularly, I would say it is on the fans, especially the UK guys. I first saw them rooting for Ten Hag on Reddit mouthing off about his style of play. Note, his style of play, and not his footballing achievements. Talking of players, for a club the status of United, players like Sancho, Anthony, Maguire, Telles, Wan Bissaka, Evans, etc. should never have been bought. The likes of Rashford and Martial should have been loaned since 2022 at least. In the current squad, only Bruno and maybe Garnacho will start in any of the top five team.
As for managers, United need a proven winner, especially one who has consistently achieved success in either Spain or Germany. I wouldn't even mind a Simeone Inzaghi but typical of United's UK fans and their agenda, they're already pushing for Graham Potter or Southgate. I even read somewhere of a likely comeback of OGS. Nothing surprises me anymore about United.

Atiku often talks as if he doesn't have a hand in the ascension to power of this current government. If helping APC to power in 2015 was a mistake (we are all humans after all), I don't think the 2023 self-sabotage is ever forgivable. With more than 13 million votes for the opposition, Nigerians made it clear enough.

Left to me, the guy should have spent more days with the police because I, without ever meeting or doing Speed Darlington any bad, I have received stray bullets in several of his "jam talks." Doesn't matter whether defamation is a civil or criminal, as an adult, you should know that there are something you should never say about others because just like rape accusation, whether true ir not, no man ever fully recover. Just by what Speed said, even if he comes out tomorrow to apologise or retract his statement, some of Burna's fan already believed him.
As for Speed fans who believe using their mouths to ruin what others have built for years is no big deal but Burna has committed all the evil in the world, well, all I can say is you guys are sending a message and it's been well received. Burna brought this upon himself with those tweets. All he needed to just do is keep mute and continue to deny that he has nothing to do with it, since we all want to be mad.

What I can't wrap my head around is, while their leaders will be doing PR for terrorists, calling them "freedom fighters," "businessmen," and making statements like "a fight against Boko Haram is a fight against the North - the commoners among them, who suffer the scourge of these daredevils are also not helping matters with their bias and sentiments because, while the governor calls it "infiltration," to his people in the IDP camps, it is actually "homecoming" of their sons, brothers, nephews, cousins, uncles, etc.

Anytime I see this agency in the news my blood boils.

Several idiots in different parts of Nigeria in 2024 still believe in money ritual; shouldn't this useless agency be running an ongoing campaign to address this menance? We have a problem of drug abuse and cultism among our youths. Our young women are seeing prostitution as a normal thing. Our best brains are leaving in their droves and our reputation has been ruined abroad due to the activities of the likes of Hushpuppy.

Yet, there are several Nigerians who made it against all odds; who are doing honest jobs and doing wonderfully well at it, making their selves and the country proud. Why can't this agency use these groups of Nigerians to communicate what we stand for as a people and a country instead of this joke they're putting out? And to say this agency have employees on their payroll. Like, do we have to teach everyone their job everytime in this damn country that reward and celebrate mediocrity?

This is what we're trying to make women understand on that thread involving the UK police, that spousal abuse is a two way thing. But since they enjoy claiming victims because of the privileges associated with this status, they will just pretend this is not true. Already they are avoiding this thread like the plague but flip the actors and see them rush in like swines.

The man in that video is just one out of the millions of men worldwide who are going through hell from their women but never will you see us come online to shame our wives and the mother of our kids, nor will you see us getting them arrested or reporting to the police. How I wish men can start treating marriages as business because that is what it is to most women. And also because it is the only way to win this rigged game.

When this madness started it was mostly dominated by a certain tribe. Other criminally-minded individuals saw how these terrorists were being called bandits going several years now (a former governor of Kaduna state even called them "businessmen"), and how Bello Turji has granted several interviews to BBC correspondents but somehow our security agents can't reach him. They saw those guys brandish AK-47 on TikTok without arrest.
I mean, I still can't understand why are our state governors are not signing the death penalty for kidnappers.
The most painful part is that our leaders whom today have made a billion dollar industry out of insecurity, grew up enjoying a relatively safe Nigeria where they embark on night journeys without any fear. Unfortunately, today everything they enjoyed - from free jobs, to free education, to security, to a thriving economy - they destroyed for the coming generations.
The earth will judge you all so-called leaders who continue to sabotage the country and her people.

It is hard to type this without sounding like a bigot but there's a pattern. Over here, there's also a retired civil servant man. He should be about the same age as the man in this story. He is currently undergoing same treatment from the wife: constant beating (the man has stroke), no sex for several years, and the man has been his own chef for more than twenty years. In all of this, the woman also found a way to get the man's three sons to her side. While the man is from Edo, the wife is from Imo state.

Growing up I used to say there's no place I can't marry from; that my parents were tribalist and all. As a man now, I guess I understand better. My personal observation of most Eastern women reveals that they are usually very aggressive, resulting in how they don't excel particularly well with people that can be considered as weak or vulnerable such as kids and the aged. Also, every interactions with them is transactional. If as a man you lost your job or develop health issues that temporarily or permanently prevents you from bringing in the cash, no food or sex for you till further notice.

Forget about education, exposure or "professionalism," an average Nigerian first loyalty is to their ethnicity.
We all saw how the former president protected his kinsmen for eight years. It got so bad that in places like Plateau and Benue, where the villagers will inform the security operatives of impending attacks but they will ignore. Once the marauders are done having their fill, the military will show up and start doing house to house search to collect arms from locals and to prevent reprisal attacks.

Majority of them are like that: loyal only to their feelings/cravings. Very, very, very selfish creature. She is only just one of the few who doesn't care about pretending. As for her late husband, I dunno since white men have made it their life long ambition to be worshipping their women and rewarding their every bad behaviour. If her late husband someone resurrects, I'm sure he will be somewhere apologising to his so-called wife for "making her feel this way."
PoliticsRe: Protests: We will not accept calls for coup, Regime Change - CDS Musa (vid) by sammiewrite(m): 10:20pm On Aug 05, 2024
There's a stage you will get in life where your decisions need to be all encompassing as a responsible adult. Most of the politicians y'all are fronting for have two or more passports. Even Tinubu, at worst, will be sneaked into Ghana just like the PM of Bangladesh is currently in India. It is you and me who don't have passport that will be trapped. I don't want a war or a war-like situation. Let's keep putting pressure on the government and resist any attempt at being distracted or hijacked.
PoliticsRe: Hunger Protest Mobiliser, Michael Adaramoye, Arrested By DSS In Abuja by sammiewrite(m): 5:21pm On Aug 05, 2024
Let him go and learn lessons at the DSS custody. All the betrayals of the poor and downtrodden will get their rewards in due time. You were qualified to contest in the last elections you didn't come out. Prof. Imumolen of the ADC, a youth and someone who is not of the old class of corrupt politicians was on the ballot yet you lots didn't vote for him. The only thing you are good at is submitting yourselves for the use of failed politicians while pretending to be fighting for hapless Nigerians. The lot of you who succeed get financial gains, asylum, followers, etc. The other unfortunate ones like this Adaramoye get scapegoated because even while the government is aware of the sponsors of the protest, they're their friends and business associates so they'll instead go after the useful idiots. This update don cast. We were fooled with EndSars in 2020 but not anymore.
PoliticsRe: Join Us On Monday Or Shut Down, Protesters Threaten Business Owners In Jos by sammiewrite(m): 8:32am On Aug 05, 2024
They have seen that some Nigerians can see through their scam of a protests and are not buying into it. Next they want to force it? This is where it is about to get ugly. The same businessmen you looted their shops is the same you want to prevent from carrying out their lawful businesses all in the disguise of a protest where the name of the protest is Take It Back, where the organizers are seeking donations of 4 billion Naira, and the participants are raising armed forces flag?

I hope the security agents will get involved at this point to forestall further breakdown of law and order. The failure to act is tantamount to them saying that some Nigerians have more right over others. If nobody stopped them from protesting, I see no reason why the people who enjoys their own rights should be trying to take away the rights of others.
PoliticsRe: Atiku Condemns Genocidal Threat Against Igbos Living In Lagos by sammiewrite(m): 7:27am On Aug 02, 2024
Atiku should act like a stateman by trying to investigate where this whole thing started from and he should not meddle into something he has little knowledge about. The person running Lagospedia is wrong and has no authority to issue such a directive, but till tomorrow, Igbos are still opening Twitter spaces calling Yorubas lazy, dirty and all other unsavoury words. If we call their attention to it, they will ask us if what is being said is true or not instead of calling the organizers of such these Twitter Spaces to order.

Also before we forget, it was Kanu that was caught on tape calling Yoruba pastors idiots and fools. Iwuanyawu also called Yoruba political rascals. As if that is not enough, every three market days, it is one agenda against Yoruba leaders or people; if it is not Soyinka this week, it will be Adeboye next week. At the height of it, even neutrals like Prof. Oloyede of Jamb, Asake the singer, and even "Amala day" were not spared. And it is not even funny because attacks on Yoruba women in particular, where they were called dirty and ugly, predates Tinubu and goes as far back as 2013. These are the issues that needs to be addressed and I dare to say that if the unnecessary and constant attacks and provocations don't stop, miscreants like Lagospedia will keep taking advantage to cause ethnic tension.
PoliticsRe: Aribemchukwu: Justice Ajumogobia’s Daughter Killed In Lagos by sammiewrite(m): 10:36am On Aug 01, 2024
My sincere condolences to the family of the bereaved. But honestly, why is it difficult for these rich people to learn that cutting corners is only penny wise pounds foolish?

It is in this country I have seen someone willing to pay over 20 million for a land but unwilling to pay lawyer 200k for due diligence. It is in this same country that a whole state headquarters of a government paramilitary agency will be relying on NYSC associates instead of hiring and paying established lawyers. Our abrodian uncles and brothers are also fond of this act, where rather than work with a licensed developer that they can sue if s/he acts fraudently, they will prefer entrusting millions of Naira to their illiterate, greedy brothers.

Granted, investigation is still ongoing, but I won't be surprise if it was later confirmed that the deceased domestic workers are involved one way or the other, just as it is the case with the Ekiti professor.

I mean, there are agencies you can contact if you need professional drivers, chefs, bodyguards, etc. These agencies will charge you ooo, but you will get someone who has been thoroughly vetted; who will get the job done perfectly; but most importantly, someone who will mind their damn businesses not minding whether you’re paying them 50k while your child's school fees is 4000k.
RomanceRe: In My Current Relationship, my guy and I retaliate a lot by sammiewrite(m): 9:29am On Jul 25, 2024
MeghaneMorgane:
Yeah. You’re right. So my own bad character is that I call him a regular pet name. But he doesn’t like me to call him that because he says I use that name for everyone. So I have a special name I call him which he loves. Sometimes I forget to call him this name and then he doesn’t like it. To make me stop calling him that regular pet name he doesn’t like, he started to pronounce my birth name awkwardly which I don’t like. So I have started to be conscious and call him the way he loves me to call him. Though sometimes I still forget and then he reminds me by pronouncing my name awkwardly 🙈.
I will advise you stop engaging some of these comments. You should be aware you're on Nairaland, the forum of a country where majority of its citizens are very out of touch with reality; they also ranks amongst the lowest in terms of intelligence and human relation.

There have been quite a few comments so far and I only want to reiterate what they said per knowing when and where to draw the line especially regarding domestic violence and cheating. For the most part though, your strategy is working currently and that is all that matters.

Ignore all the "childish," "forgiveness " and "immaturity" talks; they're from hypocrites who enjoy doing to others what they wouldn't tolerate. Also the words they throw around aren't theirs; they're mostly from their religious leaders who themselves have failing and failed relationships.
One thing I have observed with thriving relationships and marriages in the 21st century is the ability of the two persons involved to base their relationship strictly on what works for them. In fact the opposite is true and if anyone has a divorce judge parent or friend they can fact check me on this: The common decimal for the majority of marriages that ended in divorce is the either or both of the two parties being the troublemaker and at the same time feeling entitled to forgiveness. I feel like if you really love someone, you won't hurt them or take them for granted by repeatedly dismissing their concerns and complaints. And it is funny because some of the requests we make from our partners are little things that won't cost them much to do or stop doing (like in your case, calling to register safe arrival but in my case, repeatedly telling an adult to flush the toilet after using it), but because they're already used to getting away with a lot, they keep doing it over and over again.
