Despite CBN debunking the circular as fake news, I share the same sentiment with CoinTelegraph that this is damage control. They have blocked almost all popular crypto websites and am sure if asked they would deny this too. Like I mentioned in my other comment, I din't mean to misinform or cause panic, just giving a heads up.

The ban was lifted December 2023. More so, this new one comes with threat of arrest and a six month post no debit.

At such a young age and considering how everything blow up, even an adult should be broken. She is not. The remorse is not just there. Ban crypto (assuming this is even possible because you cannot ban what you don't control to begin with) and then what? What alternative will the government be providing? Already unemployment is over 30%. Or, will the government just disengage millions of youths and then keep them idle? Ever occurred to you how our social problems will skyrocket? Is crypto even illegal per Nigerian law or it should become illegal because you don't like it?
You mentioned that some teenagers don't want to be meaningfully engaged. My question is, did these teenagers just choose this path or they were forced to as a result of limited opportunities? Or you think someone will see a job with clear career path and then decide to go into crypto that has a high chance of them losing their money?

See them up there. Yes, be stupid enough to believe that children are "God's heritage," that they are a "gift from God" meanwhile they carry your DNA. If anyone bothers to check that Prigodo moniker, that account is dedicated to defaming mostly APC supporters on this platform. He follows as many of them and all he does is to quote their post with defamation and anytime there is a rebuttal or reciprocation, he uses his AlhajiCSO account to report the user. Now anyone might be wondering why take things to this level? Well, that is what we have to deal with simply because a candidate from a particular section of the country contested and lost an election. His supporters have even went as far as reporting the supporters of other political parties to their employers just for having differing opinions and exercising their civic right.
Now I don't blame them. I blame the likes of Denrele who continue to condone their excesses. You guys should come together and sue one of these guys because they won't stop. They didn't stop until Fashola made an example of one of them. Now, even though they continue their defamation, they have avoided Fashola.
And to Seun who have continued to be biased on everything, well, I hope he is happy with the cesspit his investment is beginning to turn into. First he tolerate bigots from the East for more than ten years. Now Ronus have joined the party. The governor of Borno recently released some of these demons back into the society citing that they had sworn by an holy book to never go back to their former ways. Lots of great contributions so far but I want to add that rather than using YouTube and blogs for learning, consider Reddit. So, let's say you want to learn arbitrage, search something like "arbitrage reddit." I'm making this recommendation because with every update, Google is favoring the big publications who most times don't have experience, expertise or authority on the topic they're writing about. Additionally, they're writing for ad and affiliate revenue. In short, they are creating content and not adding (any or much) value. Reddit, however, is the direct opposite: nobody is trying to sell you anything, so whatever opinion you see there is often firsthand and value adding, plus there is a downvote button and the subreddits are heavily moderated.

And I'm sorry I will have to toe the line of your friends too by keeping things to myself. For a different reason, however. From my previous interactions with young people from Nigeria, many lack the mindset, discipline and work ethics. At my stage, I still dedicate at least three hours everyday learning about my industry. How many GenZ can be this committed? The last one I gave a test to read a 3000 page thread on a specific skill on Nairaland felt it was too much, so he never got back to me. So, for me, I feel it is a waste of time sacrificing my time for nothing. Wishing you good luck in your journey.

Democracy is the greatest tragedy that has ever befallen this nation. Our liberation will come the day we come to this realization. See terrorists being called bandits. It was also on this platform last two weeks that it was reported that a northern senator is being 'monitored' by the security agencies for having secret meetings with leaders of this dreaded group. His name was never released and he is still walking free as of today. Under the military, for example, can such senator ever try this? And if he gathers the courage, will he be 'monitored' as against the standard practice of being declared 'wanted' or 'missing?'

Military is not perfect, but under it, there is discipline and orderliness; people understand that every good deed will be rewarded while the bad will be punished. Hence, they try to at least do more good than bad. Under democracy, people say and do anything and get away with it. Under military, the head of state is the most powerful (or at least one of the most powerful) in the country. Under the democracy, cement manufacturers and smugglers, for example, are more powerful than the governor or president because they sponsor their elections and it is a well known fact that he who pays the piper dictates the tune.

I hope the western countries will allow Nigeria, and to a greater extent, Africa, to find something that works for her. They should stop trying to force their way of life down our throat every time. Democracy is not Africa thing! Because of democracy, death sentence has now replaced firing squad.

You may be right. There is an handle on Twitter that called out Fisayo's hypocrisy. The handle claimed Fisayo's family had been into rice smuggling for more than twenty years and that Fisayo only started to become vocal when his family's goods were recently seized. The handle even challenged Fisayo to dare to reply or sue him.

He had no reason to pick a side and even he must, should it be the side that claim they're fighting Israel but are keeping hostage of other nationals? Brainwashed 1diot. The world can do without his likes.
