Spirit1: I weep for my country. Until we are able to stand up and say enough is enough, this madness will continue in Nigeria, where corrupt politicians will plunder our national wealth and destroy the future of our Children.
Nigerians, why do we watch while our country is a laughing stock in the international community. Tell me which country, business entity or investor that will take Nigeria serious after this shame brought to us by Goodluck Jonathan.
This is the time for us to stand up for our right. This is our "Arab Spring" moment. Let every Nigerian who loves this country stand up and post here, post on twitter, post on Facebook and demand that President Goodluck rescind this shameful act. Carry placards on the streets and say enough is enough!!!
Goodluck just enshrined corruption in our identity and validated the fact that it is ok to plunder the treasures of this country.

Do not think that this will not affect you. The world is a global village and the investment opportunity, the loss of National pride, the harassment in foreign airports and the maltreatment of Nigerians abroad will affect you one way or the other. The refusal of visas to study abroad, for business or for healthcare, because we are viewed as corrupt will affect you. The fact that degrees and government documents issued in Nigeria are potentially fake, will affect you. When the US takes a stand, other developed countries follow suit. Who can forget the case of this criminal that Goodluck still calls his "boss". It made world news, it brought insult to us all, we were ridiculed and now a pardon? If we do nothing, then we are saying this is ok. This is our country and we have to take over our destiny.
This is a slap on our faces. Nigerians, if you love this country this is the time to stand up and say enough is enough. Call on Jonathan to reserve this decision within a week or we will take to the streets and "reverse" his Presidency. Please post and repost and repost and repost.
Do not ignore this clarion call. I weep today for my country, for the blood of our heroes and for the future of our children.

RedReact:
I have some observations from your quote sir and I would like you to answer or share your view; we are all brethren.
1. You will agree with me that when a man becomes born-again, he is no longer under sin; that is, the root of sin is uprooted. This happened because God, The Father, had to sacrifice His Son, Jesus Christ, for us.
My question is that if the Holy Spirit detests alcohol, why didn't Almighty God eradicate all grapes and barleys all alcohols are made from?
2. I am sure you take the Holy Communion. In many orthodox or pentecostal churches, the wine is alcoholic (i.e, has little % of alcohol inside). Shall we call the brethren that partake of the sacrament sinners or their church as false churches?
(I am quite aware that some churches, of which I belong to, use blackcurrant beverages o, no problem at all).
3. What is alcoholism? Doesn't it relate to gluttony of wine now?

I just need your honest opinion now and God bless you as you answer.

N.B: Many of the proponents of wine-taking do not take wine at all. I am inclusive and I have many personal reasons for not doing so, so don't think I am looking for self-justification.
God is so perfect and he loves us wholeheartedly,4instance the bible states we shud not commit adultery,God knows the aftermath of dis if one engages in it,cudb STD or capital punishment.God does not make alcohol but human makes it out of what God created 2make people deviate from the right path.if people can stay away from these things they will be better off. Did God create guns and nuclear
weaponsDid God create CocaineNo e nver did..Man is
sinful in dia dealings and wen sin is allowed 2rule our hearts many evil tots wil ensue.MY 2cents

OPEN LETTER TO INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE

Thru
COMMISSIONER OF POLICE OGUN STATE...

Thru the Special Assistant on Social Media Ogun State.

This is to draw your attention to what i saw at IJEBU IGBO POLICE STATION WHILE ATTENDING ELDERS/ COMMUNITY MEETING WIT D NEWLY TRANFERED DPO:

"I was with at the elders communities meeting with the newly posted DPO to Ijebu Igbo.
I came back with the followings.

1. A man was brought out vomiting blood after being kept in cell for 6 days without food, he had no moneyto bail himself.

2. A boy had been detained there for21 days because he cant afford#50,000 bail bribe demanded by one sgt Ekundayo.

3. A one legged man with maggots on his leg was released in my presence the order of DCO, he had bndetained for stealing a bajaj for over 6 weeks by sgt ekundayo.

Cases that should have been chargedto court under 48hrs are still pending while the victims lament in pains because they have no access tobail and have been denied their right to lawyer.

"I went to a vantage place about 5 metres to his seperately made wooden office and recorded him demanding bribes, but couldnt take his picture, he is a 6 footer, with gold chained on his neck which his 2years salary may not afford to buy, dark in completion and an Ikale or Okitiopupa's dialects, a crude illetrate man in his 40s, he talked any how and shouts a lot, majority of the people detained by him were not written on the police station detained board.

His demands for bail ranges from#25-#50 thousand naira and there are people there who had spent more that 6-7 weeks because they cant afford their bail demands.
What a life in a civil society where the rule of law should be upheld by the Nigerian Police.

Please, share, rebroadcast untill it gets to the appropriate quarters.
Thanks.

Crime / Student Killed As LASU Reprisal War Gets Bloodier by sammmiey1: 11:07pm On Mar 07, 2013
Barely one week after Damino Damoche, the final year student of the Lagos State University, Ojo, was killed by suspected cultists in front of the institution’s gate, another student was Thursday, murdered by suspected cultists on reprisal attack.

Although the deceased identified as Karim Abiodun, was reportedly not a student of LASU, but he was alleged to be a member of Buccaneer confraternity, whose members were said to be at war with members of the Eiye confraternity.

Report said the cultists stormed Karim’s home located on Afolabi street around PPL in Okokomaiko area at about 4a.m yesterday, from where he was chased to Peoples bus-stop around Ajagbandi and shot dead.

The late Karim, a second year student of Economic Education at the Lagos State College of Education, LACOED, would be the second person to be killed during reprisal attacks by warring cultists since the death of Damoche.

The first person shot dead, was identified simply as Kabiru. He was reportedly killed in the presence of his mother and siblings at their Abeokuta street home, also around PPL, Sunday night.

The Police as gathered, have arrested a member of a vigilante group in the area in connection with yesterday’s killing.

The suspect whose identity could not be immediately ascertained, reportedly admitted to have seen when the late Karim was being chased. He was also said to have identified one of the assailants .

Meantime, students of other institutions living around PPL have vacated their homes for fear of same fate befalling them.

Following the recent development, President of the  Lagos State University Students’ Union, Comrade Ibrahim Agomeji, has advised students to vacate off-campus hostels within PPL, Iba, Casidi, Franklass and Igbo-elerin..

According to him: “This became imperative as the lives and properties of students are no longer secured in these off-campus hostels around the university. It is beyond the powers of the university to provide you with security in your various off-campus hostels. Since the Police and the relevant authorities have failed to do this, I advise you return home to your parents, thereby coming to school from your various homes”, he said.
