My time on Nairaland is gradually winding down. My mission is completed. I have fought the good fight. I have learned from everyone. A man cannot remain in a place forever. If given the opportunity, I will be making my final submission after the unblocking of my original account @Richdad50.

I have written nuggets that reach millions of people worldwide without much ado but here, I have been blocked repeatedly for uncountable times. Free speech is not free here. Believe me.

One of the things I discovered that have prevented Nairaland from moving to the sphere of recognized social media sites is the MODs. They are thin skinned and a bunch of spoilt kids who know nothing but banning. Easily provoked and consequentially disruptive to a flow. They lack modern initiative and ideas to move beyond the wrench. Nairaland has the capacity to become a reference like Twitter and Facebook in Nigeria but will never be in this current system and style.

Like hawks they are coming for this account to delete. They never take criticism and believe in their heart they are doing you a favour alas, it is the other way round. They will delete this in a few minutes but they can never delete your mentions.

Richdad
how do I follow you on other social media??

Politics › ‘OSUN Is Dying’ – Oluwo Cries Out by Sammy07(op):
The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, says Osun State is dying as it is paying so much on workers’ salaries without generating revenue.

Addressing newsmen in Iwo yesterday at the Engr Ademola Adedapo’s annual secondary schools’ quiz competition, Oluwo said unless the Osun civil service was overhauled, the state might find it difficult to pay salaries.

The monarch urged the state government to increase the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) to improve the fortune of the state.

He said: “We’ve a problem in Osun and we’ve to shout and tell the world that we’re sick in Osun. It’s just the truth I’m telling you. We need to upgrade and update our civil service to be IT-compliant and we’ve to create a way to find other jobs for them in the civil service.

“With what’s going on in Osun, we don’t have the money. I’m in this government and it doesn’t matter because I’m a traditional ruler. I’ve to be concerned on how government can succeed.

“We’ve so many workers for some jobs. I’m not telling them to retrench, but government should find some ways out of this situation.

How much is the allocation of Osun State in a month? Can it pay the wage bill or salary? Civil servants themselves should be more creative. Civil service is the largest employer of labour in this state and the IGR is nothing. We need to create more IGR.

“Osun is dying. The state is paying so much money and not making money. People have to pay tax and there should be more ways of ensuring the payment of informal taxes. There are many incomes being generated through informal sector and is not coming to the government.”

Responding, Governor Gboyega Oyetola, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Festus Olajide, said the Oluwo had “not minced words in telling the truth.”

He said the quiz competition had brought out test and measurement in terms of performance of students in public schools.

So waec is no longer credible because you cannot compete with kids in the SE intellectually. Go and sleep pls this is not APC appointments that you scramble for, this is waec exam, it knows no tribe nor religion, what you deserve is what you get, no time.
Still dumb...
if you wish to argue further...

A number of things jumped out at me from the 2018 WAEC rankings.

1. All 5 South East states are in the top 10.
2. The South West has only 1 state in the top 10.
3. No northern state made it to the top 10.
4. 6 of the 10 states are PDP governed states.
You're really dumb...
Do you think waec is credible now...

Beside my house is a computer shop owner, he registers for weac, neco, jamb and NABTEB, I help him do most registrations..

all are Miracle centre except UTME...

stop saying nonsense....!
90% of Waec /Neco results ain't clean...

only few schools, don't do miracle centre.

I won't believe any waec ranking until they introduce CBT or E -Marking(Not credible either)...

Take a look at UTME, its really hard you see the answers b4 exam.

Thinking States fund their Universities Independently means you don't know what you are talking about.

DELSU is not on strike doesn't mean the Lecturers don't connect with ASUU directly or indirectly.
No Man is an island you know.
wow! I learnt something today..
I usually think states fund their universities by themselves....
pls, what of all those huge fees students are paying in state institutions, is it going to state government or ASUU or the institution itself?
