Politics › Re: Border Closure: Benin, Niger Economies Under Pressure by Sammy07: 12:07pm On Sep 15, 2019 |
midolian: of course I get your point. The government was too strict to have closed the border outrightly but it's all for good, I maintain.
If the government's to wait till there is enough to go round before closing the border, there will never be enough to go round. This is because people like you and I are already too used to foreign rice and are not ready to give the local ones a chance...and for as long as we have foreign rice flying around, we would continue to go for them...thereby discouraging producers of the local ones
For instance, I used to buy my rice(foreign) from baruten local government in Kwara state for as low as 11500, at max 12k. But since the border was closed, I only bought a small rubber Paint of rice for #1500 with the hope that before we finish consuming it, the borders will be opened again. Bro, I am saying this for you to know I am also feeling the heat...but truth is, I have been into agric business for sometime now, and I have noticed when there is too much of a farm produce in the market, we the sellers don't gain much..in fact sometimes, we lose(like it was experienced last year). I followed you. Honestly, economics and finance ought to be compulsory for everyone You tried with your explanations |

Nowenuse: I wouldn't blame the Igbos for deciding to support the North against you guys after what happened in 2015.
The Igbos know that if they bring out their own candidate under the PDP platform and APC fields a yoruba, they stand no match. Cos the Hausa fulanis will definitely support a Yoruba over an Igbo if given the option... So they feel it would be better to support the north against you guys. I'm a SW'ner, I followed your comments And you're absolutely right.... I don't blame igbos also, They have no choice than to support PDP northern candidates |

isthatso: IMHO any party that presnts a SE presidential candidate will lose 100%, any party that presents a SE VP is reducing it's chances of winning. The north has not forgotten what happened when Jonathan was VP and how he failed to honour the agreement when he became president. SE is toxic and a liability right now politically But PDP got a reasonable no of votes in the north last election nah |

HAKYN1: My brother you are very correct! Some Yorubas are getting conscious of the view of the Ibos about them. We will not meet as super parallel lines even in heaven. Let everybody maintains his lane. IntrovertedK: we are two parallel line that can never meet. We are too different in our ways. Even in anybodys' dream, it still woudn't happen. I'm sure even in another life, it will continue like that. Truth is, it's only in politics that we don't really get along... Aside politics, the two regions don't have any brawls... |
Politics › Re: 2023: Only South-West, South-East Disagreement Can Keep Power In North – Ahamba by Sammy07: 11:18am On Aug 27, 2019 |
seunmsg: At least, we know south west is not the problem. A region in the south is already clamoring for Atiku or Kwakwanso in a party they claim to dominate.
For us in the south west, we will ensure power returns to the south in 2023. We will put up candidates to contest for the presidential tickets of the two major parties. It is then left for south east to do the same or queue behind Atiku again.
In 2019, the north presented the candidates of the two major parties. We must e sure the same happens in 2023. Good, if power must to be returned to South. Both parties should present South candidates... Then any region as Vice... |
Politics › Re: 2023: Only South-West, South-East Disagreement Can Keep Power In North – Ahamba by Sammy07: 11:14am On Aug 27, 2019 |
isthatso: 1. SE have no moral right to expect support from SW because of the way they have played their politics.
2. SW will not back down and support SE after all the work they have put in.
3. SE will never back SW,
4. North will never back SE
Therefore the permuations for 2023 are as follows
Northern candidate with a SE VP
SW candidate with a Northern VP
SS candidate with Northern VP
any party that fields a SE presidential candidate is dead on arrival as North and SW will not vote for him
APC is built on SW and Buhari's god like status in the north. With Buhari's exit, APC will go through a change as his influence and relevance fades.
Either way SE will not produce president. Tinubu will not be president!! IF PdP present North:East candidate And Apc present West:North candidate I guess, PdP will win, because of south south factor and it will make the ignos turn out to vote. However, if PdP presents East:North candidate, it's likely they lose. North would not want to be a V. P under East. |

check very well all their elected politicians including that Kalu of a senator who isn't Igbo anyway..Now Kalu isn't an Igbo name, yes I said so...they may deceive u is a name of a god but that's a blatant lie, Kalu means nothing in Igbo land.
have you tried to find out why Ngwa people eat humans?? because they're not Igbo.. majority of Abia isn't Igbo and that's why you see people like senator Kalu come to talk nonsense about Ruga
Abia should be ceded out of SE now! You don't know what you're saying I'm Yoruba and I know Abia is igbo. Unlimitk: now lemme lecture u on religion in Yoruba land ekiti and ondo are absolute Christian majority in osun, osun east and north east are Christian majority in osun east,Ife ijesha are largely Christian, Ife or ilesa has more population than Oshogbo Ila orangun, oke Ila in osun has high Christian population it is iwo ede and Oshogbo d capital that's has high Muslim population kogi west and kwara south east are majority Christian population irepodun ekiti oke ero isin LGA are dominated by Christians in kwara in Oyo state, ogbomosho ibarapa are largely Christian, the oba of ibarapa in oyo south is a Christian oyo west has Christian, iseyin shaki has 30% Christian its only northern oyo has has absolute Muslim population like kishi, iseyin is 70% Muslims saki is 65% muslims oyo is 69% Muslims Ibadan is a land of immigrants so Ibadan is 60 Muslims 40% Christian ignoring immigrants past olubadan of Ibadan was a Christian in ogun state egba and yewa are largely Christians, they dominate ogun central and west ijebu and remo Rich ijebu Christians are like 80% while rich ijebu Muslim are like 20% ijebu is 50% Christian 50 % Muslim ijebu ode oba is Muslim ijebu Igbo last oba was Christian remo land where osinbajo and dapo abiodun come from are largely Christian d akarigbo of remoland has always had Christian oba awori are 60% Muslim and 40 % Christian now this my explation which religion is dominant in sw Thanks to God I'm from Ondo In Ondo state, out of the 18 local government Only 4 LG, have 55% Muslim population and they are Akoko north east Akoko north west Akoko south east Akoko south west. It is when I went out of ondo to school in unilorin that I knew that there is something called "YIDI", where musslims worship during festival. Back to the topic The truth is, Christians are more populated than the Muslims. But why people think Muslims are more than the Christians in South west is that. Muslims in south west participate heavily in politics than Christians (except Christian states) While Christians participate heavily in education than Muslims.... Even in Nigeria Christians are more than the Muslims but most people don't know. CC.Unlimitk, Unlimitk2 |
