All what you wrote are misunderstanding of the word of God and translations,if you observe the contradiction you past,they were mixed with different translations of the bible.during the Time the king James version was translated the earlier Alexandrian manuscript has not been discovered.The reason the King James version differ from the NASV and the NIV in a number of readings is because it is translated from a different text-type than they are.

We are told to accept that Jesus existed based upon the Gospels of the Bible.

1) How many generations were there between Abraham to David?  Matthew 1:17 lists fourteen generations.  Matthew 1:2 lists thirteen generations.

2) Is Paul lying?  In Acts 20:35  Paul told people "to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" Since Jesus never made such a biblical statement, isn’t Paul guilty of deception?

Nigeria is a Country made up of Different Tribes and Religions, no doubt every tribe wants to rule our multitribal Land whether form the SS SE SW NE NW NC. Honestly Nigeria can do better than the aspirants presented but thats another topic, back to the point. In the 2011 results CPC won in the NE NW NC PDP won in the SW SS SE APC won in OSUN. the results are as follows:

we vote for sentimental reasons mainly because of our past, We use past experiences to generalize and make judgements thats why a Christian would not feel comfortable with a Muslim/Muslim ticket regardless of the potentials or leadership traits of the people involved. this same notion would make the SW individual less comfortable when a Southerner goes against a Northerner thats why SW voted for PDP massively in 2011.

The governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy in next Saturday’s election in Osun State, Senator Sunday Fajinmi, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission to disqualify the candidates of the All Progressives Congress and Peoples Democratic Party for breaking electoral guidelines.

According to Fajinmi, violence and excessive spending were two of the several reasons why INEC should disqualify the APC candidate, Rauf Aregbesola, and the PDP candidate, Iyiola Omisore, from taking part in Saturday’s election.

He said, “The AD is prepared according to the guidelines of INEC. We are not breaking any law and we are not given to flamboyant style of politics because we belong to the masses. We are not like the APC and the PDP that are flaunting their wealth in a country where poverty is starring us in the face.

“The maximum that a party can spend on an election, according to INEC is N200m. How then can they justify the sharing of rice, kerosene and huge sums of money to the people of the state during an election period in order to buy their conscience?

“To me, the two parties have broken the rule of the election. We have the information that the APC and the PDP are buying voter cards from the youths with money ranging from N10,000 to N30,000. People have come to tell us this. The only way out is to vote out Aregbesola and stop the PDP from taking over Osun State.

“I am not intimidated by the noise about the APC and the PDP as likely winners of the election. We will compete fairly but those parties should be disqualified from the election. My position is that with the level of violence that both parties have brought to the state and violation of electoral guidelines, the PDP and the APC should be banned from taking part in the election.”

Nigerians are daily praising Chief Olusegun Obasanjo for liberalizing the phone business in Nigeria. They are thanking him because the liberalization dealt a terrible blow to the perception of some rich and highly placed people who thought the use of phone was not meant for the poor in Nigeria. To them, the poor people of this country are lesser human beings and the usage of phone is a luxury that is beyond them. It is not Nigerians that should be praising Olusegun Obasanjo for this but the phone service providers who smile to the bank all the time with the huge profit they make at the detriment of Nigerians. One should not blame those who are perpetually hailing the General. There was a time in this Country that you may need to come from may be Ipaja to Ikeja and may have to wait for three or four hours to receive a call coming from the United States or United Kingdom. You may do all the waiting without even getting the call. Today, Nigerians living abroad can call any relation in Nigeria at any time.

Obasanjo should stop beating his chest on this issue because this is 21st century world of modern technology where every Nigerian should know that it is his or her right to enjoy phone services. That every mechanic, every bricklayer, every cleaner, every farmer and every carpenter can own a phone should not make us lose our senses as to our rights. Nigeria is a country where the rich, affluent and powerful always think of themselves. That is why all of them in government are having robust cheeks while Nigerian masses are looking haggard and like skeleton and this does not bother our rulers. Many Nigerians own phones and sim cards just to receive calls and ‘flash’ so that the person at the other end will now call them. They flash you even when they want you to help or assist them. They do this because they cannot afford the cost of telephoning in Nigeria.

Those in charge of regulations are not willing to make the needed regulations that will make telephoning affordable to all Nigerians. They continue to allow the phone companies to perpetually treat Nigerians as untrusted and as people without any choice. In every decent society, when you have a good credit history, you pay less for any service being rendered or offered to you. I am not talking about the kind of credit you have when you buy phone cards and load it into your phone here. I am talking about a kind of credit rating that you will have in a country like the United States when you are not in debt and you always pay your bill as and when due. The government, private companies and agencies who want to render services to you will therefore trust you. They will reduce your prices because of your excellent or very good credit history. But that is in a country where with your social security number, they will instantly know everything about you. Even without a good credit history, you can still get a phone service with a payment of $50 and enjoy an unrestricted service for a whole month. There are some services with some restrictions but which will give you free nights Monday to Friday and all free weekends.

The phone rates and tariffs in Nigeria are just too high. No wonder that the first phone company after liberalisation covered all its costs and made a turnover within the first six months of its operations in Nigeria. This is what it initially planned to achieve in two years or more. This is taking undue advantage over Nigeria and Nigerians. When you are coming from the United States or United Kingdom, it is going to be a big struggle to be able to adjust to the Nigerian telephoning system. If you want to use phone the way you can use it in the US or UK, you will be using phone cards of about four to five thousand naira daily and that is simply outrageous. The pay as you go phone system as being generally practiced in Nigeria is a policy which classifies all Nigerians as people no one should trust. Besides this, the phone service providers will be sending adverts to your phone as if they gave the line to you free of charge. When you buy a line and continue to load it with purchased cards, it is an abuse of our contractual rights and privacy when the phone companies continue to bombard the line with their unsolicited advertisements. It is not a yahoo or a google thing. Everybody wants to undercut the other person and so, the backwardness continues. Nigeria is indeed a country of no sympathy. A phone company which has its headquarters in South Africa cannot come to Nigeria to dictate prices to us if there are no Nigerian connivers. You cannot do anything here without the rubbing of hands. But our leaders travel abroad all the time and they see how governments are run in favour of the people over there.

Nigerian leaders from now on should be using most of their time in office on how to make life bearable for ordinary Nigerians. In the US, a family plan where a phone company will give you three or four lines for less than $100 a month will allow you free nights, that is, from 9pm to 6 or 7am Monday to Friday and all weekend free use. Nigerian authorities should not accept as an overall achievement that every Nigerian has access to telephone services. They should go a step further to ensure that the services are affordable to all. Although it may be difficult to generally let Nigerians pay monthly for phone services but phone providers should be able to separate the goat from the sheep. There are Nigerians who will always honour their obligations. After all, Nitel was presenting monthly bill before. True, it has its own problem but which was occasioned by government bureaucracy and self interest of Nigerian rulers.

Private companies can make sure that subscribers pay upfront monthly and whenever they discover that a subscriber is defaulting or is likely to default in settling his bill, they can cut his line. Patronising the big umbrellas before one can make a call is an indictment on Nigerians and service providers should not be allowed to continue to take undue advantage of Nigerians. We should be entitled to free nights, that is, in some cases from 7pm to 6am or from 9pm to 6 or 7am on weekdays and all weekend free. Companies are doing this in America and are still making profits. In fact, a call to the same network anytime of the day in the US is usually free and why can’t they do that in Nigeria? There are internet phone services in the US where a subscriber would be able to call all parts of US, Europe and Canada with a bill of just $25 a month and you can talk for as long as you want. There are also service providers who will give you a bundle of Cable, Phone and Internet services and all for about $100 a month.

The phone companies see Nigeria as a virgin land where they will continue to exploit and because they enjoy maximizing their profit, they don’t want to consider reducing the costs at all. It is a dereliction of duty on the part of our leaders to always allow the foreigners and private companies to continue to cheat average Nigerians. Why must our leaders always wait till the labour congress, civil society and students march on the street before they do the right thing? The Presidency and the National Assembly must urgently consider policies and regulations that will reduce the costs of telephoning in Nigeria.

people pls tell me the essence of having debates when two people that we definitely know are not going to transform Nigeria are involved. the fact that they say good things during the debates do not guarantee that they would be done, look at how far we have come 50 years and a lame man with good intention cannot wake up one morning and say he wants to be president and actually win. we should not be bothering our selves about all these but how we can make free and fair elections possible so we can elect people who have actually done something for the nation(not just sharing food and giving out money) before coming up from nowhere and saying he or she wants to be the head.
