SportsVictor Moses Troll By Club Mates - Should He Be Concerned? by Sammyramires(op):
Chelsea Attacking Right Wing-back and all action Nigerian Winger, Victor Moses who was named on the bench last night during Chelsea's UEFA Champions League meeting with a rejuvenated Azerbaijan Champion, Qarabag got more than he bargained for, as his team mates who were on the bench with him troll him.

After five of Chelsea's first team players were named on the bench to give match time fitness to her depth, it was clear Victor Moses was not going to start, as his place was taken by a deadline day £23 million signing David Zappacosta.

Zappacosta wasted no time in introducing himself to the Stamford faithfuls as his 70 yards run with the ball led to a miss-kick turned golazo.
The attempt from Zappacosta caught Qarabag's safe hands in his wake and landed appropriately in the gaping net.

However, while the golazo celebration was on going, the Camera zoomed Victor Moses as his team mates, namely David Luiz and Caballero were visibly trolling him while pointing towards Zappacosta who held sway in his absence.

Meanwhile, the former Italy gaffer has provided reasons why he started Zappacosta instead of Victor Moses who was his preferred choice at right wing-back last season.

''He (Davide) played a really good game but now he has to continue to work to improve,'' Conte told reporters, according to chelseafc.com.

''For sure he knew very well my style of football and my idea of football. For this reason, I decided to start with him. He was prepared to play. He played very well.''

He went on : ''For him it was his first appearance at Stamford Bridge. It’s not easy to totally change your sporting life in one week, but the answer was very good.
''He has said he wanted to cross, but he scored and it’s important for us.
''I am very pleased with the performance. Now we have to continue in this way with him and the other players. I had a positive answer from my players tonight''.

SportsRe: Chelsea FC Include "Want Away Striker" Diego Costa In EPL Squad For 2017/2018 by Sammyramires(m): 2:47pm On Sep 02, 2017
For those of you saying Costa's presence will affect Chelsea's dressing room, open your bible and read where you were advised to "Get Understanding''... Costa was never going to be allowed to stay close to the first team as he will have to train with the U21 whose trainings comes in a different time.

He was only included in the team to teach him the hard lesson he deserves. It was the same thing Mourinho did to Shweinsteiger last season as he was kept away from the first team like an Ebola Victim.

Costa felt he can call the shot at Chelsea by staying put in Brazil eating away his World Cup chances. While Athletico hides to support his ego. No player is bigger than Chelsea and Costa must be taught the hard lesson he deserves!!
Jobs/VacanciesN-power And Its Modern Slavery - How True? by Sammyramires(op): 12:13pm On Aug 14, 2017
N-Power, as introduced by the Federal Government of Nigeria was said to be the antidote to ailment of Unemployment and Joblessness amongst the teeming Graduates and the Non Graduates littering the country.
However, a close observation must be made about the Terms and Conditions of this "Greek Gift'', as the narration below explains.

*A man (name withheld) who had been job-hunting many years after his National Service went to a ministry (name withheld) for an interview. Luckily for him he wowed the interviewers, and subsequently was given the job.

However, before his assumption of office he was asked to provide his account details which will be used during salary disbursement. While this was going, it was discovered that his BVN had been registered on N-Power which invariably qualifies him as a "dual salary earner'' under Treasury Single Account (TSA).
To cut the story short, he was asked to go.

Now To The Questions That Troubles Mind:

1) Is N-Power now a catalyst to one losing a better Federal Government Job in the present or nearest future because of BVN inclusion?

2) Why was the Salary not more than the meagre #30,000 when what you seek to achieve is to make the unemployed financially free without thinking of other Federal Government Job within the stipulated years of contract?

3) What will be the fate of N-Power applicants whose BVN had been registered on the site and is yet to be enlisted for service under the scheme?

I think Nigerians should henceforth ask questions before taking everything that seems juicy and less strenuous in process.

SportsEagles Goalkeeper Crisis : Enyeama Snubs Saraki, Ogba by Sammyramires(op): 3:30pm On Aug 11, 2017
The possibility of aggrieved Nigerian goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, making a return to solve the Super Eagles goalkeeper crisis may have come to an abrupt end after the former Super-Eagles skipper snubbed the National Assembly leadership appealing for his return.

Chairman Senate Committee on Sports, Senator Obinna Ogba, who made the disclosure in a chat with journalists at the NASS Complex Abuja, expressed disappointment over Enyeama’s refusal to speak to the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, adding that he also refused to pick the several telephone calls put across to him.

Senator Ogba further explained that the former Lille of France goalkeeper did not only cut off phone on him and the senate President when they attempted to appeal to him to stage a comeback, but snubbed further efforts to plead with him to return to the national team.

Narrating his efforts to intervene in bringing Enyeama back to the Eagles, Senator Ogba said: “I personally called Enyeama up to three to four time to plead with him. It got to the extent that I got the Senate President involved.
I went to the Senate President’s office, put a call across to him for the Senate President to speak to him, but when I told him that the Senate President wanted to speak to him, he cut off the line there. I called him severally but he refused to pick again.

In his reaction he said “Some of us played this game without getting any appreciation. Those of them, who have come to play with thank you and the money, should know that without Nigeria, they would not have come to stardom today!
If Nigeria were not a football playing nation, nobody could have come to Enyimba FC to spot him.
“So, we should be patriotic enough. When it is obvious that you are still in the game, your mates are still in the team, why must you snub calls for you to be part of that team? We can all remember very well, when Rodger Milla of Cameroon came out of retirement to join the Indomitable Lions during the 1990 World Cup,” the visibly angry Ogba noted.

Meanwhile the Upper Chamber has expressed concern over the failure of Nigeria’s communication giant, Globacom to pay the Nigeria Football Federation ((NFF) an accumulated debt of N1.2b before their sponsorship deal hit the wall.

Reacting to the situation, Senate sports committee chairman, explains that Globacom has refused to pay up the bill and alleviate the federation’s financial crisis despite all interventions, noting that the development has not only affected the financial strength of the federation, but had affected the preparation of the national teams.

HealthGeneration Of Pipe Holding: How Did We Get Here? by Sammyramires(op): 11:28am On Jul 07, 2017
Heraclitus of Ephesus (c. 500 BCE) was known to his contemporaries as the 'dark’ philosopher, so-called because his writings were so difficult to understand. Seeming to hold the common understanding of the nature of life and the purpose of human life in contempt (as, in fact, he seemed to hold most, if not all, the human beings he came in contact with).

However, following in the traditions of the earlier Pre-Socratic philosophers, Heraclitus of Ephesus expounded a physical theory of matter and the physical world much along the lines of Thales, Anaximander and Anaximenes, but took the ideas further in his famous assertion that “Life is Flux” (Panta Rhei in Greek, meaning everything or all things change).

If one understands that change is the only constant thing in life then one will more easily recognise what Heraclitus is saying in his 'obscure' writings when he claims such things as, “The way up and the way down are one and the same. Living and dead, waking and sleeping, young and old, are the same. These things are the same in that they are all subject to change, arise from one change to vanish into another change.

Meanwhile, Heraclitus popular quote of "The only thing that Is constant Is change", better summed up the latest habits of Nigerians who has found a solace in smoking Goza, Narghile, Hookah or Shisha as the name may appear.

According to research, there is a daily increase in number of people smoking shisha in Nigeria than any other African country. As a matter of fact, more people are dumping cigarette smoking for Shisha with most believing that Shisha puffing does not attract the same risk as cigarette does.

However, Shisha pipes use tobacco sweetened with fruit or molasses sugar, which makes the smoke more aromatic than cigarette smoke. Popular flavourings include apple, plum, coconut, mango, mint, strawberry and cola. Wood, coal, or charcoal is burned in the shisha pipe to heat the tobacco and create the smoke because the fruit syrup or sugar makes the tobacco damp.

Aside the contents that seems sweet before ears, Shisha puffing remains a deadly practice that needs to be curtailed if possible.

It is shameful to say the least in our country today, when a Five year old boy/kid is seeing holding the pipe, puffing and inhaling what Shisha produces after a snuff.

If care is not taken, we might witness a situation where a 7 day old baby will adopt the habit of puffing Shisha in place of breast milk.

Looking at this obvious anomaly as a neutral, one would agree that the country and her citizenry of different age are gradually turning to "A generation of Pipe Holding", but the question is:

How Did We Get Here?

CelebritiesBadoo's Onslaught, What Effect Could It Have On Olamide Badoo's Image? by Sammyramires(op): 10:03am On Jul 04, 2017
Nigeria, Africa's most crowded nation and home to more than 155 million individuals is amidst political, monetary and social shakiness. The north, focal and south eastern parts of Nigeria are the most influenced parts.

No wonder the country sits pretty comfortably on the 6th position of Africa 10 Most Dangerous Countries.

Killings in different forms has been the major headline in the last 8 Years. If it is not MEND it will be BOKO HARAM. If it is not HERDSMEN it will be KIDNAPPERS.

Tension fills the whole region and no where is considered save for habitation. Although, the efforts of the Nigerian Army is yielding the desired fruits as we were told sometime ago that these elements had been technically defeated.

Meanwhile, as the Nigerian government seeks to finding a solution to many problem bedevilling the country, event took a dramatic turn in the South Western region of Nigeria.

Around mid-2016, a group called "BADOO" was reported to have carried out a bloodletting operation at an area called "Ikorodu", in Lagos State.
Their modus operandi is to sneak in to houses at the odd hour or hijack a loosely closed doors. They hit their victims on the head with a grinding stone and soak their blood in their magical handkerchief.

The spate of Badoo operations in Ikorodu is becoming increasingly alarming and nobody knows who their next target will be.

However, looking at the name Badoo, one may tend to mistake it for one of the Nigerian finest Indigenous rapper, Olamide, who adopted the nickname 'Badoo' and turned it to a brand.

Olamide to lovers of indigenous Rap music needs no introduction. He is a musician who rose from nothing to become something. And he is never shy to remind his fans that he's truly from the street (ghetto).

As people continue to mumble on what brought the name 'Badoo' for destructive missions, I ask : What Effect could Badoo Onslaughts Have On Olamide Badoo's fan base and image.

FashionDoes It Matter What We Wear? by Sammyramires(op): 12:13pm On Jul 03, 2017
www.nairaland.com/attachments/5590915_cymera20170703154136_jpegcb90ca848f685069a5e5a436b7997e3e

Fashion is defined by one of the world leading dictionary Merriam-Webster as "a popular way of dressing during a particular time or among a particular group of people.

More so, one of the leading search engines Wikipedia, defined Fashion as a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body, or furniture.
It goes further by calling it a distinctive and often constant trend in the style in which a person dresses. Although aspects of fashion can be feminine or masculine, some trends are androgynous.

Tracing the origin of fashion in Nigeria one would need to backtrack to the era of Stone Age when people practically wears nothing and those that do, only end up wearing tree leafs or animal fur.

However, with the intrusion of the Europeans and the Americans into Nigeria, the Nigerian community began to adopt Western Culture which later led to the total change, witnessed in the area of fashion.

Meanwhile, most Nigerians have turned from the old modest way of dressing and adopted the newest style.

The modern day Nigerian fashion allows Male folks to wear fashion accessories that belong to the Female folks, such as, ear rings, women shoes, bangle, hair attachments, braziers e.t.c

Claiming equality, the female folks have resorted to slugging it out with men when selecting fashion materials, e.g, men's trousers, Men's Shirt, Men's Shoes, men's hairstyle e.t.c

Quoting from the CONSTITUTION OF THE
FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA
1999
Chapter IV
Fundamental Rights

Right to Freedom of Thought, Conscience and Religion (S.38): "Every person is entitled to freedom of thought, conscience and religion including to change his belief or religion. You can exercise this freedom either alone or in community with others in private or in public".

Carefully looking at the section of the constitution quoted above, fashion could be placed under belief, religion or thought. For example, how Muslim women dresses differs from the way Catholic women does, and this falls under religion and belief. Anything contrary to this would be deemed sacrilegious.

Importantly, the rate at which some Nigerian dresses in this era could be said to be "thought provoking", to the extent that some are being publicly addressed as Cross-Dresser, while others also put on clothes that could be taken for a rag in the name of fashion.

More so, ladies no longer wear clothes that covers, rather they wear provocative clothes that exposes cleavages and other sensitive area of human body.

Fundamentally, despite the backlash and condemnation, many of these guilty minds continues to wax stronger in their fashion freedom. But the question is:

Does it matter what we wear?

SportsBetween Manchester United And Chelsea, Who Got The Better Deal? by Sammyramires(op): 3:16pm On Jul 01, 2017
It is no longer a news that in anticipation of the new footballing season a lot of football fans all across the globe are either found discussing about their clubs new acquisition or seeing advising their club scouts on what player they would want in their team.
However, reports have shown that hardly will a team sign on a player based on fans demand. Rather they sign players that they believed fits in to their system.

Meanwhile, as we await the commencement of the new season, the news making the round is between the two of the most successful clubsides in England, Manchester United and Chelsea and two of the most successful Coaches Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.

Last season notably saw Antonio Conte and Chelsea dominated the league week in week out and was confirmed the champions elect with two matches to spare.

In other hand, Jose Mourinho and Manchester United had what some football pundits called "Not Too Good Season", but still went ahead to win 3 Trophies, namely Community Shield, EFL and UEFA Europa League.

JOSE MOURINHO VS ANTONIO CONTE

JOSE MOURINHO

After his clean sweep of Portuguese Domestic Titles and his triumph in 2004 UCL final over Monaco Mourinho moved to
Chelsea the following year and won the Premier League title with a record 95 points, the club's first league title in 50 years, and the League Cup in his first season. In his second year, Chelsea retained the Premier League and in 2006/07 he took the club to an FA Cup and League Cup double.

Mourinho left Chelsea in September 2007, amidst reports of a rift with club owner Roman Abramovich. In 2008, Mourinho moved to Serie A club
Internazionale. Within three months he had won his first Italian honour, the Supercoppa Italiana , and completed the season by winning the Serie A title.

In 2009/10 season, Inter became the first Italian club to win the treble of Serie A, Coppa Italia and the Champions League, also the first time Inter had won the latter competition since 1965.
He is one of only five coaches to have won the European Cup with two different teams, along with Ernst Happel, Ottmar Hitzfeld, Jupp Heynckes and Carlo Ancelotti. He won the first ever FIFA World Coach of the Year Award in 2010.

After the Portuguese manager left Inter Milan, he signed with Real Madrid in 2010, winning the Copa del Rey in his first season. The following year, he won the La Liga and became the fifth coach, after Tomislav Ivić, Ernst Happel, Giovanni Trapattoni and Eric Gerets , to have won league titles in at least four different countries: Portugal, England, Italy and Spain.

After leaving Madrid in June 2013, Mourinho returned to England to manage Chelsea for a second spell, during which they won another league championship, but was sacked on 17 December 2015, after a poor run of results left Chelsea just outside the relegation zone.

However, following several months out of the game after losing his job at Chelsea for the second time, Mourinho was confirmed as the new manager of Manchester United on 27 May 2016.

Due to his tactical knowledge, charismatic but also very controversial personality, and what his opponents regard as emphasis on getting results over playing beautiful football, he is often seen, by both admirers and critics, as the successor of former Argentine manager Helenio Herrera.

ANTONIO CONTE

Playing as a midfielder, Conte began his career at local club Lecce and later became one of the most decorated and influential players in the history of Juventus . He captained the team and won the UEFA Champions League, as well as 5
Serie A titles, among other honours.

He also played for the Italian national team and was a participant at the 1994 FIFA World Cup and the
2000 UEFA European Championship, where, on both occasions, the Italians finished runners-up.

However, his managerial career started in the year 2006, leading
Bari to the 2008–09 Serie B title, and Siena to promotion from the same division two years later.

He then took over at Juventus in 2011, where he implemented a 3–5–2 formation and won three consecutive Serie A titles, before taking charge of the Italian national team in 2014 until the UEFA Euro 2016 campaign.

Furthermore, he became the current manager of Chelsea in April 2016 and led them to the Premier League title in his first season in charge.

CelebritiesDavido Celebrating Cristiano Ronaldo's Gesture: A Big Achievement - Sammyramires by Sammyramires(op): 10:39pm On Jun 29, 2017
There is a twist to the ongoing feud between the two of the African best Hip Hop artists Davido and Wizkid in continuation of their long time rivalry.

The two of the best African Acts were once inseparable as they attends shows and performed on stages together, not until a time around July, 2016 that a high scale beef erupted between the two music act which led to the duo throwing tantrum and insulting words on social media.

Few weeks back Wizkid went on his Twitter page calling out Davido, he wrote "you can't hate on someone doing better than u on what u failed at! learn and appreciate! Free your mind from hate young kids.
The game is only for the real! Catch up or stay local! Don't blame anyone for your failures! Pray and work hard kids!
And remember kids! Drink more water!!
Without waiting to verify if it was actually Wizkid that spewed such, Davido went straight to his handle and uploaded a video of him singing for a white couple on their wedding day and wrote "Local champion ….. I love it ! Congrats to the beautiful couple The groom is Nigerian Right? WANKOLO NO DE GAME"

However, the newest chapter to the series of their beefing started when Davido announced to his over 4.3 Million Instagram followers that he had just been followed on IG by the current World Best Footballer Christiano Ronaldo. A feat many considers an achievement while some sections of online users faulted Davido for celebrating it.

However, many who faulted Davido while celebrating the recognition given to him by Christiano Ronaldo on Instagram were reminded that the achievement wouldn't have been possible if not for the impact of Davido's newest Jamz titled "FALL", which had Ronaldo's name mentioned on its chorus.

While the euphoria was growing like wildfire the BET Award took place in Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and “Best International Act: Africa” 2017 BET Awards was given to Wizkid. After the presentation of Awards to the winners "Wizkid and FUTURE" went to the backstage and took pictures.
Wizkid uploaded the picture and gushed over it.

Meanwhile, the antagonist fans who never see anything good in Wizkid jumped on his handle comment section and reminded him that while he's there taking pictures with Future, Davido is being followed on IG by World Best Footballer.

What started like a child's play escalated into a brewing fight as the two superstars comes out on each other with full impact like a Wrestlemania fight in the WWE.

Wizkid who has over time shown that he's got no love for Davido by removing him on his Instagram handle sometime this year went to Twitter and wrote *"The FUTURE you see is better than the Footballer you don't see".
Without saying Jackrobinson Davido went all out with killer blow and snipper as he wrote on his Twitter handle "The footballer that follows you and you don't see, is better than the Drake that never Came Closer".

Carefully looking at Davido's misile reply, it originated from the ridicule Wizkid was subjected to by music fans when Drake went AWOL on Wizkid's "Come Closer" video shoot.

We wonder who will break a truce between the duo on this latest chapter of "Beef Chronicle"

WHY DAVIDO DESERVES TO CELEBRATE CHRISTIANO RONALDO'S ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:

CHRISTIANO Ronaldo is no doubt the Best Footballer on planet Earth at the moment and no doubt one of the most influential and richest sportman.
A quick glance on his Instagram account show's Christiano Ronaldo has over 105 Million people following him. Out of the over 105 Million people following him, Ronaldo only follows the meagre 376 accounts and these accounts consist of great people that cut across different professions.

It will interest an inquisitive minds that out of the 376 accounts that Christiano Ronaldo follows just 5 of these accounts can be traced to African personalities and Davido is one on the list.

AFRICANS CHRISTIANO RONALDO FOLLOWS ON INSTAGRAM

1) Davido - @davidooficial (Musician)

2) Seyi Adebayo - @e_adebayor (Footballer)

3) Didier Drogba - @didierdrogba (Footballer)

4) Felix Obi - @felix_o_ (Athlete)

5) Anthony Joshua - @anthony_joshua (Boxer).

While Christiano Ronaldo's Account remains the 4th Most Followed Accounts on Instagram Top 50 in the World, it will interest one to note that Davido been followed by Ronaldo is not a coincidental action but a result of who Davido has grown to be in Africa and World Music Map.

THE EFFECTS OF RONALDO FOLLOWING DAVIDO ON INSTAGRAM

1) It will increase Davido's fan base as more people following Ronaldo will want to know about him by following him.

2) It will improve his acceptability in World Music map as more people will consider him to be a more superstar than he is.

3) It will spur him to put more energy into his music as he now believes more in himself.

Presently, while @davidooficial boast of 4.3 Million followers on Instagram, @wizkidayo only had 3.7 Million people following him.

Would You Celebrate It If Ronaldo Follows You On Social Media?

Mmmmmmm... Keep it coming!
CelebritiesNigerian Celebrity Marriage, A Curse Or A Blessing? by Sammyramires(op):
It is no longer a news that the much talked about Nigerian Celebrities are role model to their teeming viewers who could hardly spend a day without exhausting their time and data on their chosen one amidst them.

Some keep up with their favourite celebrities by following them on their numerous social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram and many others to mention but a few. Others watch them closely on TV and also listen to them on Radio. One of the advantages of identifying with these Celebrities is, getting to know what happens to them on a daily basis.

However, getting closer to these Celebrities might turn out to be one greatest undoing due to the numerous saga cum imbroglio, brought about by their failure to secure and protect their ever publicised social media marriages as we may have it. The top Divorcee are Toyin Abraham, Funke Akindele, Mercy Aigbe, Ibrahim Chata, Femi Adebayo, Fathia Balogun & Saheed Balogun, Ayo Adesanya, Goriola Hassan, Lola Alao, Laide Bakare, Doris Simon, Ireti Doyle, Foluke Daramola, Bukky Wright and many others in the Yoruba faction of the Nollywood.

While claiming equality, the English faction of the Nollywood also had its representatives in large numbers, names like Chiege Alisigwe, Monalisa Chinda & Dejo Richards, Chika Ike, Solomon Akiyesi, Kenneth Okonkwo, Uche Ogbodo, Stephanie Okereke, Regina Askia, Shan George, Stella Damasus, Clarion Chukwura, Uche Iwuji, Mbong & Jeta Amata, Fred Amata, Juliet Ibrahim, Eucharia Anunobi, Kate Henshaw, Anne Njemanze & Segun Arinze, Jibola Dabo & Binta Mogaji, Robert Peters and Ini Edo are some of the many who have had their marriage collapsed like a pack of card, while more are also joining the league on a daily basis.

Taking a cue from the trend, the assembly of the Nigerian Hip Hop stars have also resorted to breaking marriage vows despite the promises made on the alter. Handy examples are Tiwa Savage and Akande Abolore (9ice).

Neutrals like Toke Makinwa and Hammed Musa are just icing on the cake.

However, with the rate at which Nigerian Celebrities breaks Vows/Union and Divorce in broad term one is tempted to ask if Celebrity marriage is a curse or a blessing.

IS CELEBRITY MARRIAGE A CURSE OR A BLESSING?

This is touching. How can we help? @sammyramires
.
I can tell you there has been a tremendous improvement for Mr. Bisi. People help by giving the following:
Food
Clothes
Money.
