Politics / Re: Oritsejafor To Jonathan:never Try Boko Haram Amnesty by sammyzacks(m): 5:58am On Apr 07, 2013
Fiery, and often controversial president of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Ayo Oritsejafor, has reacted angrily to the proposed amnesty for the extremist sect, Boko Haram. He spoke at the 80th birthday ceremony of the president, Apostolic Church of Nigeria, Pastor Gabriel Oladele Olutola, in Lagos.

“I don’t know his ambition for second term because I am not a politician; I am a pastor. But that (amnesty) would be wicked. I don’t see why he would have to do that and I don’t see why he would have to consider that because we are facing a very serious situation in Nigeria.

“Let us not turn this situation into politics. Let’s face it for what it is. The security of the people is the number one responsibility of the President. And I think at this point, Jonathan must wake up and just face it and do what he has to do. But these people who are putting pressure on him left and right, may God help them and deliver Nigeria from their hands. Nigeria I believe would be safe.”

Again, he thrashed arguments that often compare the North’s crisis with that of the Niger Delta.
“The reality is that you cannot equate those two instances. How many mosques were burnt in Warri or Port Harcourt? Can you tell me one? Young boys didn’t come on the streets to start shooting and killing people in the market. I’m from Warri, the Central Mosque is in the centre of our town. It has been there all these years. Nobody touched it.”

Dede1:

If I say you are very foolish, you should regard it as compliment. If cesspit called Nigeria is to disintegrate now, I shall sue for Republic of Igbo land. Any form of corporation with any nation state should be strictly on strategic importance and cultural affinity. I do not know any form alliance without it, Ndigbo are doomed in future according to the figment of your imagination.

To the best of my knowledge, Ndigbo have survived for the ages without any idiotic alliance with either none existence Niger delta or inconsequential middle
Bros cool down. You seem to be partionate about a cause that is unreal. The present Igboland lacks unity and political cohesion like the hausas or the yorubas. The reality on ground is that igbos are spread all over the north suffering the same plight with these northern Christians that you so much hate. whether you like it or not jihad sees both the igbo and the tiv as infidels. Dont be foolish to celebrate the killing of christians in the north because your own brothers are victims too.the present reality in nigeria is different from what obtained in 1966. I am even tempted to think that you are just a local champion that has not even travelled round nigeria.

The new generation of ignorant igbos are too blinded by hate as to see the light.but I tell you, if the igbos do not learn to go into alliance with the middle belt or the niger delta, their future is still doomed. If the hausa ever succeed in enslaving the northern Christians then even igboland will not be free.

Interesting discussion, let it go on. But it is worth saying here that we need to properly define the problem of Nigeria and fight it in unity. The igbo guys on this forum should learn from history, forgive the middlebeltans and work together with them in unity to defeat their common enemy. When we keep struggling in isolation we allnare going to lose out.

Bros, your points are not convincing enough. They're very shallow facts. We understand terrorism, it's deeper that these superficial cases that you have mentioned. I also believe that you know that your thoughts are not true but for the sake of propaganda, you have decided to put up your little funny write up. Time will tell and one day God will bring an end to all these evils.

David Mark is good enough to be our president. None of the politicians in the lime light of Nigeria's politics can match his profile. His candidature will satisfy the agitation for a northern presidency and calm the fears of the south concerning boko haram. He is not a novice. He has strongly led the Senate and earn the loyalty of members for two terms without any drama.
A gentleman, a fearless man, a general, and an experienced politician, I am proud to say that we have finally found the Nigerian consensus candidate!

All of you commenting here need pardon from God for all the terrible sins you keep committing everyday day. Pardon doesn't say you never committed the offence. It simply says you are forgiven. What is your problem with that? It's called mercy, you must not merit it.
