While thinking of ways to give back to the community, we came across this thread https://www.nairaland.com/6358078/onwe-zack-onyebuchi-provides-borehole and thought it ludicrous that access to potable water is still such a big deal for so many people particularly those in rural communities. We reached out to Zack and we were able to finance the siting of a borehole in Ogbana, Ntezi, Ishielu LGA of Ebonyi State to serve an estimated 2000 people. The project has been completed and the borehole is currently in use.

Pictures below show their previous water source and how it is now.
May God continue to bless you as you put smile in the face of these people. Your garment of honor will not be destroyed IJN.

So guys after 3 months of being blocked by bolt for requesting offline, they decided to unblock me this morning. I don't even know whether to celebrate it or just keep being loyal to my Indriver. I work on part time basis anyways. So, not bad combining both again. Uber too loading... grin

I also noticed that my car that I used then which has been sold now is still active on the app even when the inspection expired in May. I hope it is not a trap again. So Na to go add the new vehicle once I do the inspection. Nice to be back on the platform.

Bro, did they sent mail to you or you just tried to login and discovered it is open?

But will I be right to say u do this regularly and it's possible Bolt has gotten multiple complaints of u asking for offline?
My brother, with my own experience, it's not necessary you request offline trip before you are blocked by this useless people.

I was blocked for 4days for requesting an offline 2weeks ago.

I got a request in Opebi to Ikorodu. I was already on the same street when the request came in. Rider called and I told him I can't go to Ikorodu online and he asks me how we're going to do it. Then I told him 5k for offline but he exclaimed that it's much. I told him to book someone else.

I didn't cancel he didn't cancel either.
I got a request on indriver to Borno Way yaba, preceded without cancelling the bolt ride.
I was around Maryland when he canceled.

Two days later, I wanted to go online but got a pop-up that my account is blocked for requesting an offline for a trip with two different days to unblock me.

And I was unblocked 2days later. (which is 4days from the incident at opebi).

So check it out bro.

Good example. Despite the fact that you didn't go towards ikorodu, you still get blocked. Though you requested for offline. Me I never did and was blocked indefinitely no warning

I am glad you are trying to understand the logic. My point is Bolt will use evidence from the app to act. I don't think Bolt will block u because a rider intentionally, ignorantly, maliciously, or nonchalantly, chose that option when trying to cancel a ride, Until there is suspicion or reason to believe u actually took that ride offline. If that were d case, we would all have been blocked by now because I know many riders that are going to Ikorodu and satellite town go done vex for me when I tell them I can't go that way but then I click arrive, just in case they refuse to cancel I can cancel after 2mins grin

Many times bolt will send me a message some hours or days after I converted an offline trip because they suspect, but because there is no evidence, they just maintain.

Before they hammer a driver, they must have noticed that he went offline after trip was cancelled and came back online around where rider was going to, after rider has cancelled with that offline reason. Whether driver did the trip offline or not...that's what I think.

If am still online taking other trips I will not be blocked even if I requested for offline and rider reported correctly so, except driver used a text message to communicate with rider thereby leaving evidence.

Sir, your assumption is wrong. Check this case.
A rider requested and the driver negotiated offline but rider declined that he prefer online. The driver refused then rider quickly cancelled and reported the driver requested offline. The driver got another request to another location and continue his work. Hours later, he decided to rest and when he wanted to start working again he received 5days blocked signal for requesting offline trips. How can you justify Bolt action on this?
When I saw his penalty (5days) I quickly mail Bolt to review my account considering I've never been warned before and they still refused to open my account.
See Bro, in this uberbolt hustle, shit happens

And when u are giving clarification give a clear and complete picture of what happened.
You also where not there so u don't know the whole story for sure.

What I think happened is driver requested that the only way he can take rider to Akute is if they go offline. That's why rider canceled and used that as reason. And that's not the first time bolt has gotten that kind of complain.

Secondly, did driver blow empty to Ogba from Lekki because he didn't want to go to Akute?
Because if he did another trip on Bolt after that cancelled trip, that complain wouldn't have held up.
Like I said except u mysteriously go offline after the trip was cancelled and come online around where that rider was going then Bolt cant confirm that event happened. Even though that is possible, it will be unfortunate, if that's what happened.

Change ur notion about Bolt, they will not block u simply because one Rider complained u requested offline...things have changed. If na like that, they fo don block all of us by now. There would have been evidence like him going offline and coming online again around Berger or Akute axis. Or multiple complaints have been recorded on him. So ask him well and get back to us, we are still learning...thank you.

For your information Sir, Bolt blocked me indefinitely since April and when I enquired I was told rider reported I requested offline.
And the trip was a guy that requested to ikorodu around 7am from surulere and I told him I wasn't going to that axis. The next thing he repeated, "you are not going" x3 and cancelled immediately. The following day I completed a trip and my App went off. Tried to put it on but blocked message popped up. If I had known I would have cooked a lie and quickly reported the request. But I never gain the experience. This is me that hate offline like mad. All my time on uberbolt I never for once negotiate for it. But was blocked for offline trip. All efforts to convince Uche/Bolt proved abortive. But it's like they don't blocked permanently for offline request again cos I've seen so many blocked for just a week or two.
So my brother, so many things are wrong with Bolt App/management.

PL who is using skoda fabia here automatic

Let me share my recent experience.
I started using my Corolla October last year and I have been using mobile XHP.
For the first 3months of service I bought the oil myself. The following ones I've been given mechanic money to buy the oil and he always open and put it in my present. After 2 servicing I discovered the check engine light started showing on the dashboard. I have been using it like that but last week when I wanted to do the servicing, I decided to buy the oil myself again from a reliable dealer and the mechanic put it as usual. After like 4 days the check light that has been ON for the past few months disappeared and never show up till this moment. As I'm typing this message a lot of questions are running through my mind especially regarding the mechanic

Which year of corolla did u buy for 2.2m in 2017?

Secondly, u have to drive ur Volvo for minimum 1yr on ehailing before u can really compare it with the Corolla and Civic that u already have a first hand experience with.
Until then, it may be erroneous/misleading to paint a picture of the Volvo S40 being good enough or better than corolla/civic.

Still wondering why u sold an 04 civic without issues for 530k in this 2021. Full disclosure please. Or did u do give away?

I generally like to read comments here to amuse myself.
I'll drop this here for people who can think.
For context, I started e-hailing with a corolla, moved to a Civic 04 (dru23) and now I use a Volvo S40.
In my opinion, the corolla is not worth the hype and the hassle. There's more to a car than fuel efficiency and I must say that the corolla is not exactly fantastic in this regard especially when you contrast it against the sacrifice of performance and comfort that you're making.
In April 2017 my corolla was bought for 2.2m and sold last year for 1.230, that's a hit of 950k. In those 3 years, I changed the hub and suspension assembly, AC components, then it had a brain box issue later NO engine/Transmission issues.
April Last year I got a used civic 04 for 450k, spent about 1m on it for the 1 year I had it. Oven bake, suspension assembly, AC, electrical ish and regular maintenance inclusive. I sold it last week for 530 without issues. So give or take a 1m hit.
Got my S40 for 1.7. CLEAN civic EX trim was priced at 1.9 (that's the least I saw) Corolla, lol, we know how far so no need.
While the S40 is not giving me the fuel efficiency of the civic or the corolla, performance and comfort is millions of miles ahead of the Japanese. My S40 is FULL OPTIONS, leather, power everything, parking sensors EVERYTHING and it moves like a dream. Add the humbling it gives riders when I pull up and they enter inside. Since I got it, no rider don talk rudely to me lol.
Now the numbers. While the S40 is not doing the fuel economy of the corolla, it is 800k less to buy today. For clarity, my corolla was doing 1ltr per 10km, S40 is doing 1.15 per 10km. So that's Ask yourself, how long will it take me to spend that extra 800k on petrol?
The parts of the S40 I HEAR are cheaper than the Corolla, I say I HEAR because I have not had to change anything yet. I know for sure that engine and transmission are much cheaper than the Corolla sha. So where exactly is the economy?
The 2nd hand value myth, I have debunked several times here. Mind you, the figures for the Corolla was only purchase price. In those three years about 700k was spent on maintenance. Add that to 2.2 then subtract the price it was sold for. I didn't talk much about the civic because its own parts are much much cheaper than the Corolla parts, imagine changing complete hub assembly (hub, brake discs, brake pads, ball joints) for 16k. Compressor was 15k. Parts were cheap And they lasted till I sold the car.

I primarily felt the need to post this because I adviced someone who had saved up 1.4 but was looking for a loan to add so he could get a toks corolla. I told him to take that money and buy a toks civic 04 or 05. He said na corolla or nothing, as he no see toks money, he bought a naija used and now he has his mechanic on speed dial.

There's nothing in this business like driving your own car. If you have saved up something go and get a used civic, BE SURE to do your due diligence before buying, but I will tell you categorically that your risk exposure is less with the civic. You will make the same amount of money but you'll spend less.
This is eyes opener. Thanks for this information. Blessings fall on you continuously

I am one of the people that speak against use of 20w50 when u r supposed to use 5w30 or as d case may be...reason is simple - it is not the recommended oil for your car. Nothing more nothing less...its not about brand or quality or price. Its just not the spec.
Also be wary of cheap synthetic blends in d market most of them are just label, only God and them know what they mix, package and sell.

Yes, u may not see any problem in d immediate term, when u use 20w50 but in d long run it definitely shows up in different ways; Loud engine sound, resistance in movement, sludge and cake deposits, Faulty oil pumps, bad oil seals, damaged timing chains, worn out valves, piston, rings, ultimately dead engine.

Beyond respecting peoples choice, one cannot help but educate, then u can choose what u like after knowing the pros and cons. If u want to optimise cost, don't be penny wise and pound foolish...look for a cheaper option within d same specification and maintain d life of your engine. The use of right oil can never be overemphasized and the difference is clear as crystal, especially in rugged and high mileage use like ehailing.

Wonder why people change engine after 2yrs of commercial use?
Wonder why engine performance and behavior drops after 3months of purchasing a tokunbo car? Its not our weather or roads or economy or witches/wizards its simply the quality of lubricant, all other things being equal. One of my car on ehailing has done over 300k miles, thats over 200k miles in Nigeria and sometimes u will not know d engine is on, Very quiet, Never opened d engine for 4yrs now.

But where was this supertech before now?
Maybe if @Dru had made this research earlier before now some of the people using XHP would have been using it instead and I am sure the price of supertech then would be avoidable by many but we were brainwashed that no other oil can do the job except Mobile 1. And now that Mobile 1 price skyrocket supertech surfaced suddenly. What if the price of supertech goes up when demand is high? There is always alternative jor

It depends .. I was reading a review of 1 particular brand online . This particular brand of oil the customer stated that his car short oil . And when he tried another brand the car didn't short .. Some car owner will say their car runs quieter when using 1 brand to another etc .. Some say they get better mpg than other brand etc ...... The first time I used Pennzoil 5w30 on my Infinity g25x .. My car seems to run smoother and quieter than when I use Mobil 1 EP. You could feel it when my car changes gear ...It does not mean Mobil 1 EP is bad ...

Than Lexus car owners especially the GS model . stated that pennzoil 0W20 works better for their car than any other brand ....

It is always good to read user review on online. YouTube is a great source for that . project Farm is a great oil analysis ......

In terms of pricing we don't know yet until the product arrives Nigeria . our goal is to make it easily affordable.

That is to say "eniti ko de oko baba elomiran lo ma nso pe oko baba ohun lo Tobi ju" (someone that never visit another person's farmland should not say his land is the biggest in the world). Ire o
