Truth be told, last one that was done was 135 was training not all were giving placement due to poor passion to carry the knowledge gotten during the 7 days workshop training. But this time cause of the hand and ear of pmb it might be higher, my advice if shortlisted be passion enough to learn so u can be slotted in the main project of the oil spill. To be direct, I have not see the list myself so I can't say the actual no, but when published we would all know.

Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari is reportedly angry at the board members of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), and has summoned the management of the company.

The presidency, according to Vanguard reports, is saddened by the alleged mismanagement of funds of the commission running into billions of Naira, and has called the management of the commission for questioning on the true financial status of the agency.

The president, sources revealed, would meet the management team of the NDDC and take them up on many issues relating to the management of the resources of  the commission since the new board came on board in December 2013.

Please do you mean that the state sent all the names of everyone that applied to head office for sorting? Please respond asap. Thanks.
Yes, all state office sent, verified application that meet requirement to head office, you would be shock by the number that did not meet requirement, but as I said in my early message, the sorting is at the discretion of state office n they too have a sorting mode to follow before sent to head office. Reme, only verified application came to head office.

I suggest "state of emergency" be declared on unemployment in this country. The situation is so pathetic and it's getting worse by the day. Imagine me, since i finished my ND programme, i've been roaming in search of jobs (even contract or internship) to keep body and soul together pending when to resume for my degree programme, but till this very minute, nothing has come up. It's well even though it seems not.
I feel your pain, government can't create all the job to meet all. They can only put an effective system in place. Power and affordable education. Have faith, try and keep the faith and upgrade self, you never can tell. Nature would smile at you. Keep hope alive.

So it's a yearly stuff?

Btw, when i travelled down to submit mine yesterday, the crowd i saw was a very big intimidation to me. Imagine Akwa Ibom state where people think all are rosy, more than 5000 people were there to submit application. The NDDC staff even had to close their office and forced everyone outside when they couldnt contain the frightening crowd any longer inside their office premises. What a country! Unemployment/underemployment has eaten so pathetically deep into this country, or are we saying all those people there are gainful employees somewhere and still came to submit applications for this obviously low level job NDDC opened? If you ask me, i think unemployment is out of control in this country. Well, anyhow anyhow, i struggled with other mad dogs/applicants and submitted mine (even though life could've been sniffed out of me during the struggle as i couldnt breath again while i left with stained clothes/shoes after the struggle). I had to even pay N20 to staple the envelop since it was rejected on the ground that it wasnt stapled. Imagine, just ordinary stapling! I've done my part and leave the rest to God.
Well, it a known fact, that unemployment is high, even those that have a job want a better one. This time is overwhelming because, the presidency has hand. And within the corridor of power, lucky shortlist would be place in various dept even in NNPC, it a rumor, no na only pmb know how truth be that. But this training would be different from other, both package and incentives and knowledge. So relax, you part is done. Let God do the rest.

we were just asked to submit and leave..we didnt sign or being stamped is there anything wrong with that
Nothing wrong. The initial directive was applicant should submit, state office sort n sent to headquarters for final shortlisted. The ideal for people asked to write name was just the state office way to keep record. It does not count. How sorting is done is a different ball game n only each state office know how they wld do it. But a strong directive has been sent from presidency follow due process, cos even they can be called how the sorting was done if dust is raised by the public so all is very very careful on the sorting. So relax, let God fight your battle now. You have submitted, deadline end on Thursday. So waiting mode start soon but not too long cos presidency hand dey the matter.

...it's hoping tinz Sha... Cos almost everyone of the thousands applicants is qualified for the training, am sure atleast half of them will have good letters and I don't even see the program coordinator reading thousand+ application letters... For wat? ...will he/she put dem side by side to see wic is better huh... If dy cut corners it's really nt questionable considering there is no form of examination it will surely come down to discretion.
The only room for transparency is via an examination...if dy saw dis crowd coming am sure dy would have opted for it
True, it was a two week opening, it was not foreseen. That why I have always stress it a battle for God now.

True talk, but the house should know, presidency is aware of the sudden rush, my fear nddc state offices would want to test their power of putting goat before sheep if you get my meaning. Lol, hmmmm na application letter abi na cv u dey write. Please on a serious note, it must not exceed one page, since it a full scape, your address on the right leave a line, then the nddc address on ur left, then saulate dear sir, next line title ur position and start.

Write a small introduction relate to ur application, dnt put ur name, age or education ur photocopy has all that. Put ur strength n passion to be trained, and end. Everything 8 lines. End with yours faithfully, ur full name under phone then email.

Reme, ur application wld either drag u to be shortlisted or push u aside, if all have the rite documents, what do you think, would be used. That is why, it was asked a hand writing application else computer go help all na. So be smart. Wish u all well, as we drag to the deadline.

Brother, I feel you. Someone did ask if it job opportunities or just training. And the best I can say is the presidency has an eye on this particular oil spill training. And since it a change era, eyes from presidency is on it, so be rest assured that as far u meet requirement you would be sorted, selected and shortlisted. How it is done would be based on back thought of presidency hand dey the matter. So, it based on merit. No money is needed to apply, I read someone asked to pay 2500k, don't fall for that. Yes, the presidency eye don enter oil sector, you are seeing the change happening in NNPC.

Under reliable source, those shortlisted would smile. That all I know. So all requirement were given, follow as instructed, leave the rest for God.
