Nok 123,357 recently and latest one on UDI is Nok 128,887 normally it will be advisable to go with the latest, meanwhile u can also reach ur school and confirm if its OK to go with 123,357 which was just changed.
karlxavier:
Bro, as for the proof of funds for Norway, are we to send the money to their account in Norway and how much is the proof of funds please?
Travel / Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by Samoluv(m): 2:30pm On Mar 31, 2022
Okay boss. Not too bad.
Ayodeji1998:
Normally it takes 10-15 working days to get your study permit. However because of Covid they stopped processing student permit for a long while and they resumed in July.so when they resumed there was a lot of backlog . I submitted my documents in May at vfs office got my study permit in July but to put into perspective they were really fast when they started processing again because a very large amount of students got their study permit in July last year irrespective of when you submitted your documents
Travel / Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by Samoluv(m): 12:26pm On Mar 31, 2022
Greay info. Thanks... How long did it take for you to get study permit reply from UDI after submitting application at vfsglobal?
Ayodeji1998:
When you book flights early you get cheaper deals .. but I won't advice on booking your flight yet till at least you have submitted your documents at VFS office
Travel / Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by Samoluv(m): 11:51pm On Mar 30, 2022
What's the advantage of booking flight at this stage?
stewiepeter:
Congratulations to all those who got admitted and were able to successfully transfer the money. Try and buy all that you need before coming most especially those coming to Stavanger as things here are really expensive. Try and book for your flight asap.

Lolx don't think its about rating. It should be more like where jobs/partime jobs are more mainly like oslo . Anyways pioneers are here I'm sure they will shed more lights to your doubt. I'm just talking from the little knowledge I got online.
Tonero0147:
Seems Nordland University is not highly rated afterwards ......peeps opting for other universities in Norway. Na only me waka come

Omo e choke ooooo, thanks for the info pioneer. Their standard of living must be very high and I mean quality than most of these sole called big names like UK, Germany, USA not forgetting Switzerland. The positive will be if someone can earn up to 237,000Nok with menial jobs yearly. It would be very great. At least u can sponsor yourself and have some fall back too.
StarFlux:
Yes. Of course, it's not the same kind of deep poverty you see in naija. For reference, the poverty line is around 237 000 NOK. With a salary like this it will be difficult to maintain what is considered a "normal life" (house/apartment, monthly expenses such as food, electricity and internet, potentially children and so on). But to be fair, most conventional jobs pay far more than this.

Students have less expenses though, so the above is not directly applicable to them. Maybe you can get by with 80k to 100k a year if you're stingy and use your money well. Oslo is easily the most expensive place to study, so that is something to keep in mind if you have a budget.

Lolxx; do you mean that even those considered to be poor in Norway earn/spend more than 126,357NOK yearly?

[author=StarFlux post=111075094]I can't speak for Poland, but in Norway you have to document funds of 126 357 NOK (aprox. 5.8 million naira) per academic year. As I've said previously, this sum is actually considered to be below the poverty treshold in Norway (to give some perspective). You will be comfortable, but the price of garri will shock you.

I recommend you research different countries (climate, culture, language etc.) and pick the ones that fit your needs. The process is to do this research first, check the application requirements at your institution(s) of choice , apply online and cross your fingers. That's the most basic summary of what you have to do.[/quote]

According to my research online its said that you can transfer all your money into your Norwegian bank account when u arrive in Norway and that's after you might have opened ur own account in Norway.
laivwire:

Hello Ayo, I'd like to ask. Will your block funds be released to you entirely upon your arrival in Norway or you can only withdraw a certain sum this month? Thanks in anticipation

Norway is a long country located in Northern Europe – with borders to Sweden, Finland and Russia on the east side, and an extensive coastline facing the North Atlantic Ocean on the west side however, Norway is among the founding members of NATO and as such couldn't be in support of the Russia invasion.
Omini247:
Hello Mr cutecj and everyone currently in Norway pls how are you all fairing I read somewhere just now that Russia shares a border with Norway ....and I can't just stop thinking...this is not to ignite any fear of any sort...but to clear off my curiosity pls what is Norway's take on the invasion and even more info if any .....

Woow I must confess u're really lucky o. 1-2days compared to 4weeks. Is there any documents the bank will require?
Ayodeji1998:
When I did mine I was really lucky . I applied through Uba on Thursday and on Monday my account had been debited sent a proof of documents to the school and 48hrs after I got a confirmation from the school that they have received the funds. For some of my friends it took about 1-4 weeks for their form A to be approved . It just depends on the time you apply

Its quite different from WAEC and NECO or GCE that's why u have to be at ur best why taking it. You can't combine them, thats just the simple answer. Meanwhile, in some RARE cases and you must score at least 6.5 bandscore and above overall in order to be considered and must be within 6months of each other...
lilangel20:
Please I have a question.
I wrote my first ielts in august 12, 2021 and I didnt pass reading then I went further to write in February 12, 2022 and passed everything except listening.

Can I combine the 2 as I am confused if it is still within six months. Please I need your help
