Lie to yourself - find any SINGLE index out there that says Nigeria has better roads or any infrastructure than Kenya. When you let Dangote become the tax collector, the procuring entity, and the contractor - how do you ensure you get value for money?

I did the need to follow any index I just need to make use of my open eye during the picture test...your best roads are some ugly,faded, hodgepodge mess and the worst like we see in Mombasa, rongai, Eastleigh nakuru are what I call unreliable and un-motorable... completely broken down and needs an urgent facelift...the rest is drivel.

Yes it's the private sector...most of those development are not for the average man...it's for the riches..a world class private island with mixed used development and everything they can get without stepping out of the island, although they are not secured or secluded like estate..they are integrated ...the rich don't want to go down to the mainland part of Lagos(dont get me wrong, it's not like the mainland is for the poor...they are so many politicians and musicians that lives down there)..they want to be closer to the lagoon and enjoy all the views.....ocean view apartments are always pricey all over the world..it's a luxury to have a view of one..

Who told you that..last I checked America has set aside $45bn to build walls along its coastlines. Lagos and some state is also doing thesame, that why we have purposely reclaiming land and building cities with walls and also deep-sea port to protect the shorelines..

This is what Nigeria needs to fix their very dilapidated road infrastructure.

Rather than kamikaze toll stations and even laughable asking Dangote to build roads and deduct his taxes from them.

Firstly Nigeria road Infastructure is better and more reliable than those in of Kenya.......you have your contrymen trecking all the way to Tanzania after work just so they can get back K to their home in Kenya...

Dangote deducting building road and deducting it from races is not a bad things...the taxes would still be channelled into infastructure if he had paid it....

I highly doubt Nigeria will make it to 900 million plus people at least not this century. I predict Nigeria's population will reach only the 700 millions assuming it doesn't fuse with ECOWAS or something like that. Nigeria's economy is definitely going to take off though.

You do know that the population growth rate if India when it was still far down the rabbit hole cannot be compared to now....

At 1951 it population growth grew at about 13% at against now when it hovers around 1%...then it was a much bigger shiithole than now...As the Economy got better we saw the population growth rate drop drastically..

Must be the world smallest city . If it was granted city status - it just for admin/management purpose - but for all purpose and intent it part of Lagos - like Tatu city or Northland or many "mini-cities" in other cities.

Eko Atlantic is four times the size of Victoria island and slightly bigger or about thesame size as the Manhattan district in New York..it's not a mini city but a city itself...
