Mkenya2019: Sammy the dreamer - Gated communities are like this - for the middle class in Nairobi. These are a gazillion for the lower, middle and upper-middle class.
This is ugly as fvck...it's become clear to me that no where in Kenya is planned..this ugly ass neighbourhood with terrible roads looks worse that what I would get in old neighbourhood of Lagos mainland like surulere..let just leave places like yaba or even magodo out of the pic...they are clearly not in this level..and this are just place for average lagosians...
So you mean to say that in this 21st century you can't show me a world class planned residential neighbourhood in the whole of Kenya with modern facilities....
Mkenya2019: I think you don't know what planning is all about. Nairobi is planned. We have zones for different types of residents. Karen houses use to sit on min 5 acres. Muthaiga house sits on min 2 acres. Runda sit on 1/2 acre. The we have residential association who then decide on the standards of housing.
Gated communities or large scale estates in Kenya are so many - and are popular for most middle class. The rich have their own unique states and they are very rare gated rich estates - except for security purpose.
Anyway before I get you that...Loresho - that road I showed you leading to your village has houses like this
Show me the planned gated community not some tasteless house sitting on a half acre plot...you see how you contradict yourself...so that same tiny road no longer leads to kitsuru again it now leads to ruiru, muthiaga...lol how crazy can you get with your lies...besides this is even a 4 building estates with very ugly ass basic interior pegged as luxurious...nothing annoyed me more than seeing the basic design in the kitchen...
If this is it then it's very small and basic...I wonder why your nigga has been posting renders to give us this impression that you are under some serious mall boom when infact I am aware that mall construction has dropped drastically..
Mkenya2019: What do you mean planned residential neighborhood....are you looking for gated communities like the one you saw in South Africa or are popular in the US?
Kenya has tonnes of those. But the richest live in a large compound in uniquely designed house with privacy.
You are making noise...you have no planned residential neighbourhood in the whole of Kenya...lol isn't that a shame...I am not even surprised cos the city is not planned to begin with, it's sprung up from nowhere..the closest thing you have to planning is your estate which we have private developer efforts to thank for that...
Yes planned gated community would be highly welcome..and even if it not gated it can be gateless and have that California style neighbourhood....we want to see the planning, the building, the side walk, the wise roads, the street sign, traffic signs, traffic light, cctv you just name it...
Shma: you didn't observe well, go check again, this time use different angles.
Anyway, let's leave two rivers aside, signature is bigger than what you're talking about, talk more of garden city and TRM.
Signature renders ..
Abeokuta mall will be bigger than your best mall..And Eko Atlantic mall will be bigger and better than anything you will ever dream of in Kenya...fact .
TayserMahrii: The infrastructure index is an outright lie. How the hell would Burkina Faso be ahead of Kenya? It's known globally that Kenya's infrastruxture index is higher than even Nigeria. Even ahead of Ghana. So you can see, aside from the island of Cape Verde, and an occasional appearance from Ghana, Kenya would still be a top dog in WA. Our natural position on most things would be the 1,2,3...permutation.
Shma: you can't compare westlands with anything in your slumbolish. The same pic was taken some years back while those structures were still under construction. The same place after completion.
You are making noise...
Why did you show me old pictures to decieve me and create this impression that you currently have to many mall under construction...
Btw, I have look at your two river mall properly, that Abeokuta mall might be bigger that it...I discovered that Thise building surrounding it and not part if the mall building itself
Shma: even his own list betrays him. As you can see, Nigeria is nowhere close to kenya in infrastructure index.
I agree with tayermshri.. infastructure index is an outright lie.. infastructures should be seen .. Same goes to that road list that ranks road...the fact that same list could say Namibia has better roads and UK and U.S just shows how they are extremely nothing to go by...
jln115: As I said before I got banned SGR is nothing new... It's been around since 1845.
Narrow gauge is more archaic and not as fast as sgr ....heck it becomes worse when you are driving through a hill or mountain, the speed drops drastically..
TayserMahrii: You posted outdated images of Eastleigh when the place was messy. Now it's long improved. That doesn't mean it's one of the nicer places in Nairobi. Far from it. Most of you swallowed the Somali koolaid when they told you they live in the best places in Kenya. We don't blame you at all since you take great comfort in such tales.
Is this also outdated cos its about 3 weeks old...
