My mentor says looking at the P/L column when you're in a trade is not good for your psyche. That P/L thing that must always fluctuate is a distraction.

Please look away from it but instead look at your chart as the price prints and learn as the price is going your way or not.

This is what I do as a day trader.

Remember you must always put Stop Loss to every of your trade so no need to distract yourself.

your problem is simple, you haven't backtested enough,, so you don't trust your strategy, that's why you are unsure of yourself.....

it's just like dealing with an unpredictable boss when newly employed, you don't know if laughing or coughing will offend him
give yourself 1 year, you will have enough info on your boss to know what to do to get him to laugh or smile.

As a day trader, ever since I stick to trading one position once it goes my way I let it run while taking partials in profit, move my stop to BE in profit when price may have gone a safe distance from my entry and leaving the remainder lot to tag my TP or maybe hit my stop in BE due to a retracement or reversal.

And if it doesn't go my way and hit my stop I don't reenter. I close shop for the day instantly and nothing ever lures me back to trade even if I blame myself for the temporary loss.

It has helped my consistency in seeing positive results and my Psyche too.

Even when I experience deep drawdown, I remain with the same routine and I see myself come out of it noiselessly.

I had a self induced drawdown of 13% of equity within half of a particular month recently but I refused to panic, stuck to my trading routine and got back up from the drawdown and into profits without sweat.

The summary is this.

It's about the process and not the money. I don't focus on the money again but my trading process.

Once we are consistent with our trading and results come in and we don't compromise the process, then money flows in as rewards.

I have been following this awesome thread since last year, I feel like this is the right time to appreciate all the bosses in the house. Although I never wanted to say this but I think gratitude is the key if life!

I reached out to one of the bosses in the house via email, oga no show face and I became a pest, January @ galleryeasy bought a $10k evaluation challenge account for me, I was in shock when he said " guy this is new yr, please manage it and scale your way up there". I got the account n blew it up in the second phase. I was so pissed and ashamed to tell him want happened, but later summoned the courage to tell him, he instructed that I should use competitions to build strong trading psychology and I went for TFT and MFFX competitions .

I don't literally know where to start ,it been God day in and out.

This is the second TFT Competition challenge account I have won this year, the last one was $50k which I passed the second phase tonight, I will update us once I receive the account login credentials. Last month I won another $25k
account. By Gods grace the plan is to end the yr with $200k . Thanks guys ! @ galleryeasy sorry I can't hold it any longer sir, much respect 🙏

NZDCHF is making me very angry, it went in profit about 70pips retraced so badly but it's still in my sell zone and had to sell again from 0.56206. I am expecting more 300pips drop from that point from next week. But there is no guarantee in this business, it's probabilities. Fingers crossed. 🤞🤞Stop playing..

By my chart, it's .23742 but if it wicks through, no problem. It is just an ideal situation.

I'm hoping that what I'm seeing is a repetition of last week Monday's price (the kind of thing bigbasho does).

Ultimately, .23440 should hold if not, na to short the asset naim remain.
