sigolisis: As at last year, no test. The only screening is verification of credentials. Call for submission of transcript and online submission of results will be made public on UI website any moment from now. Thank God post utme is out of the way, the focus is now on DE. Get your transcript ready, some people have submitted theirs. You just told me what I have been yearning to know. Thanks and I'll keep following this thread religiously. I'll have to follow up and get my transcript ready pending when they call for submission of credentials. I'd like to know if it'll be possible for me to physically collect the transcript and submit by myself at UI. |
sigolisis: You raised a good arguement we can all reason and discuss. Firstly, you can always apply for your transcript as many times as possible, provided you can pay the bill. Having said that, you can get your transcript back if your admission didn't work out, I'm talking from experience. The day I went to submit my transcript at the admission office in UI 2yrs ago, I saw my name as number six already on the admission list out of ten people admitted through DE, after the celebration as I made towards the door out of the office, one of them noticed that I had ignorantly submitted two o'level results instead of one as required by my dept of choice. I cried (there was no clue as at that time regarding one sitting for medicine and pharmacy unlike now), I lost the admission, but before I left the admission office that day, I asked if I could take back my transcript that I just submitted and they said why not since the admission did not work out and my transcript with hundreds of others were just starring at me from a carton right in front of them there. I thereafter re-used the same transcript in the same UI though. That is possible with another sch also, only the envelope and address will change, just make sure you don't alter any of your subjects and grades because they will find out sooner or laterI feel feel your pain bro. I'd like to know if UI organizes screening tests for her DE applicants and at what stage am I required to submit my transcript? I have a BSc. and I applied for DE to Medicine. |
significance: @Gideonnaire....which screening...is it PUME screening or DE? Well, I learnt UI dont do DE screening....The submission of the Transcript is on now screening or no screening. Are u sure UI doesn't do Post DE screening? I also applied for DE but I'm yet to submit my transcript as I'm staying far from Ibadan. |
Hello everyone. I applied for DE to UI and I'd like to know if they have started selling of forms. Also, someone talked about transcript, am I supposed to send my transcript to tje institution? |
House, I need info on UNN Direct Entry. When are they starting the registration process, and is the Card same as that of PUME? |
danox: Good evening all.I am new here.Just gained admission to study Medicine and Surgery In Uniben through DE.Congrats. I'd like to know if UNIBEN DE applicants take entry exams, like yhe POST-UTME. |
This is a big blow for Smart phone users, especially Android fans. When are we going to have a reasonably structured data plan for smart phones? At present, the plans on offer by the various network providers are not worth it. |

I just received this SMS from Airtel Dear Customer, effective 3rd Dec 2013 AIRTEL BB Plans will cease to function on non BB devices or used as a modem . Thank you |
Fulaman198: You are beyond stupidI understand your reasoning in trying to separate the two entities of Hausa and Fulani as being distinct. But in reality, we all know that though they may be distinct, yet they are united by centuries of Master-Slave (Fulani- Hausa) relationship. The original Hausas have been so subdued and subjugated through the centuries that they lack a clear identity of their own, and rather depend on their Fulani conquerors for sustenance. Thus are the willing tools of arson by the Fulani Oligarchy. How come the Traditional/Religious rulers are all pf Fulani extraction? So, Fulaman, there is no basis comparing the Homogeneous Fulani/Hausa as being synonymous with Yoruba/Igbo. Thanks. |
icebeatz: Hello NL family, this may sound unbelievable but since I was born ive never ever had a girlfriend or been in a serious relationship.@ the bolded Why end your good start with a stereotypical ending? You'll grow grey hairs waiting for them to ask you out. Better grow some ball*s and tell the next girl hoe you feel. |
Igbo Muslim? Mr. OP, don't get so carried away already, those guys have found a veritable means of making money. |
iamdsam: Even at my age right now (20), I got a lot of these thinkings and regret. I feel like am not suppose to be in the level I am right now. I have regretted and still regretting alot of things in life right now. I really need somebody to talk to because it seems I have no dream. It seems I've lossed focus on life because of the situations am going through. I need to see a clear path in my life. Imagine finishing secondary school at the age of 16 and at 20 you're still at home. Imagine having precarious health situation at a young age of 20. My life thinking has totally changed. I got an entirely different view of life right now. It seems I don't have the confidence and zeal to push forward in life. Nobody to talk guilde and talk strength in me. I stopped been a yahoo boy at a time after I sat and thought about my life that it would only amount to regrets in the future. I want to live a life with a clear vision. I want to have a clear dream!I was quite touched by what you are presently going through. I didn't put up this post for anyone to start having regrets, far from it. Its a call to action, a reawakening for you to stary living life in the present. And at your age (20), bro. you are still very young to give up. You only become a loser when you stop trying. Finally, please talk to someone you trust about how you feel; parents, siblings, an elderreligious leader. It will help relieve part of the burden you bear. |
1. I wish I’d cared less about what other people think. It’s only when you realize how little other people are really thinking of you (in a negative sense) that you realize how much time you spent caring and wasting energy worrying about this. 2. I wish I had accomplished more. You don’t have to have won an Oscar, a Grammy, or even a Nobel prize, built up a business or run a marathon, but having small personal accomplishments is important. 3. I wish I had told __ how I truly felt. Even if the “special one” doesn’t exist, telling someone how you truly feel will always save you from that gut wrenching ”but what if…” feeling that could linger for life if you stay quiet. 4. I wish I had stood up for myself more. Sometimes, it’s too easy to think that if you go all out to please everyone you’ll be liked more or your partner won’t run off with anyone else. I think age probably teaches us to be nice but not at the expense of our own happiness. 5. I wish I had followed my passion in life. It’s so easy to be seduced by a stable salary, a solid routine and a comfortable life, but at what expense? 6. I wish our last conversation hadn’t been an argument. Life is short, and you never really know when the last time you speak to someone you love will be. It’s these moments that really stay clear in peoples’ minds. 7. I wish I had let my children grow up to be who they wanted to be. The realization that love, compassion and empathy are so much more important than clashes in values or belief systems can hit home hard. 8. I wish I had lived more in the moment. Watching children grow up makes you realize how short-lived and precious time really is, and as we age, many of us live less and less in the present. 9. I wish I had worked less. There’s always a desire to have loosened up a bit more with this one and the realization that financial success or career accomplishment doesn’t necessarily equal a fulfilled life. 10. I wish I had traveled more. It can be done at any age, with kids or not but many talk themselves out of it for all kinds of reasons such as lack of money, mortgage, children, etc. When there’s a regret, you know it could have been possible at some stage. 11. I wish I had trusted my gut rather than listening to everyone else. Making your own decisions and feeling confident in the decisions you make gives us fulfillment and joy from life. Going against your gut only breeds resentment and bitterness. 12. I wish I’d taken better care of myself. Premature health problems or aging always makes you wonder if you’d eaten healthier, exercised more and been less stressed, would you be where you are today? 13. I wish I’d taken more risks. Everyone has their own idea of what’s risky, but you know when you’re living too much in your comfort zone. In hindsight, some people feel they missed out on a lot of adventure life has to offer. 14. I wish I’d had more time. Many people say time speeds up as we age. The six weeks of summer holidays we had as kids certainly seemed to last a lifetime. If time speeds up, then it’s even more important to make the most of every moment. 15. I wish I hadn’t worried so much. If you’ve ever kept a diary and looked back, you’ll probably wonder why you ever got so worked up over a particular issue. 16. I wish I’d appreciated ___ more. The consequences of taking people for granted are always hard to deal with. 17. I wish I’d spent more time with my family. Some people get caught up with work, move to other parts of the world, grow old with grudges against family members only to realize their priorities were in the wrong place. 18. I wish I hadn’t taken myself so seriously. Life is just more fun when you can laugh at yourself. 19. I wish I’d done more for other people. Doing things for others just makes life more meaningful. 20. I wish I could have felt happier. The realization that happiness is a state of mind that you can control sometimes doesn’t occur to people until it’s too late. Scored 36... And that's who I am. |
Hello Guys, please I'd like to know the nature of the DE Screening test of UNIZIK. is it the JAMB subjects: Maths, English, Physics and chemistry? |
madridsta007: They get married at age 10, pushed into 'marriage' by their fathers because, according to some selfish hardliners, Islam says they should marry underage. There are many 'Yerimas' ready to 'marry' them. They get violated at that same age, and many get the VVF disease. The men they 'marry' to, marry other girls and do not care for them as they are diseased and no more fresh. They get treatment for the disease, which is incurable only managed. At this stage they are without a job, a husband, they have a child and they have a disease.Very apt analysis of life in the North. Saints by day, the worst sinners by night. Such is the hypocrisy of their lifestyle with a conniving silence of their religio-political leaders. |

I ask again, can 1.5B Catholics be wrong? |
LOL.. @ people hating on the Holy Mother Church. I know your problem, you only wished you had a little of what we have; The history of papal succession based on the Apostolic tradition, the organized way d new pope was elected. The catholic church is not a 1 man show. it was ordained by God. "You are Peter and on this rock I'll build my Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it!" God bless the Pope. |
I've been learning Python for some months, and having gone through some introductory books, I'd say I've grasped the basis of programming and the Python language. Now it seems I'm stuck at the beginner level as what I've accomplished are just the simple textbooks exercises. I need advice and direction, like a career development plan, on what it takes to be a software developer. Where do I go from here? Thanks. |
If Open source has been doom and gloom, then you're yet to grasp its core driving motives. What would you say of Linux, Apache, Mozilla, Python, and the thousands of shining light of the FLOSS movement? |

Abagworo: In addition to what I wrote previously, Imo is the drug capital of Nigeria. Little do people know that a section of Imo(The Orlu area) run most patent medicine stores in Nigeria. They equally produce the highest number of Pharmacists. Imo is indeed blessed.Talk of Orange Drugs and the likes |
Linux Mint is presently topping the charts on distrowatch, though its also Debian/Ubuntu based. |
