My upgrade from 16.04 LTS to 18.04 LTS got interrupted (laptop was closed) and entered sleep mode.

On putting it back on, I couldn't continue with the upgrade neither could I log in again.

I rebooted but now Ubuntu boots to a blank (black) screen after the grub screen; yeah, it's a dual boot (Ubuntu & Windows), hence I cannot see the login page again.

How do I overcome this please.

PS: I can still boot to Win 8 partition.

The form has closed for now, but we are hoping jamb will reopen the opportunity of buying DE form again soonest.

Do I still have to submit my documents to JAMB office? I went to JAMB office Owerri but was told there was no need for submission of hard copy documents, but a friend who applied submitted his at JAMB office Awka.

Anybody applying to UNIZIK pharmacy school via DE? Do they accept Microbiology graduate with 2.2

UNIZIK, ANSU and UI pls which one wil giv me fast admission throught D.E for medicine and surgery. Am from Imo state. I studied biochem from priv uni. Am done with nysc. Gp. 4.06

Speaking from experience, I'd rather you gave UNIZIK a try because of catchment area and it been a Fed. University.

thanks. they do write exam, we wrote only English but truth is they didn't use that exam to judge. they were so many factors they considered eg waec result. someone DT scored highest in the exam for medicine didn't even get the admission. but you have to reach the passmark of the exam shaa

Hey MissParagon, I know you'll be in your 3rd year of Med. School at UNIZIK but I need your help. What are the materials/textbooks I need to resume school so as to catch up with my colleagues. I'm asking because I know you will be of help, having had similar experience last year.

Hey guys. Is there any UNIZIK 2nd year medical student in the house? I just got admitted via DE and still trying to complete the registration process. A friend told me that some departments are about to sit for exams.
Please I need someone to give me guidelines on what I need to resume school with and how to make up for lost time and classes.

go and get Jamb English Past Questions and answers and read from the beginning till date,it will help you a lot.

In UNIZIK DE Exam,all faculties are given the same questions and it has been English except in few occasions,they include Maths.

Do you mean the JAMB DE scratch card? Check any nearby computer business center they should have it.

What are the questions like and do they take questions from JAMB?

Someone said that they only asked your set questions on Use of English, will it be ok for me to only prepare for English test and not bother about Physics, Chemistry abd Biology as I applied for MBBS.

Just study ur english language very well, cos most of their past questions are based on english, it was in 2013 they added a little maths, questions are general for all departments, and u can get the past question at iffite gate perm-site.

Please, do you have copies of the past questions in .pdf format? Can you share as I'd like to see the nature of the questions.

I have disabled fast boot, yet still getting the pix below.

I'm having the same issues as you are. I want to dual boot my HP650 with Windows 8.1 already installed on one partition.

When I tried installing Linux Mint the installation process couldn't recognize the other disk space.
(See attached photos)

I've also tried using GParted, yet same thing.

Has anybody successfully dual booted HP650 please give me tips on how to go about this.

Solved! My problem all along has been that Fast Boot is enabled. Now I have Ubuntu 16.04 running alongside Windows 8.1 on my HP650. Thanks to Blackweaver, especially for trying to help.

Hello Ubuntu, please is there anyone in IB that can possibly help me with 16.04LTS installation file.

The file I downloaded isn't installing, its MD5Sum doesn't match that of the 16.04 64bit in the UbuntuHashes site.

That's ~1.5GB down the drain, lol....

If you're in IB and can be of help, I can meet up to create the bootable disk on my flashdrive.

You mean you couldn't install Ubuntu alongside Windows in you HP650? So what OS are you using on it presently: Windows or Ubuntu?
