DieeDiee: Stop looking for ways to punish him, you are only punishing yourself (and will be punishing your son). Remember he and your son are connected what you do to him, you do to your son. Similarly what he has done to you, he has done to his son and he WILL pay for it. Maybe not today or tomorrow but he will. Let the ancestors or God deal with him. If you divorce him, the fact he will not be able to be father to his son the way he should is already punishment. There are certain important points in a man's life, one of them are well in his life (around 40-60 years) when he looks back at his life and what he has built so far (depending if he is a douche or not) he will either feel pride or regret. He'll feel regret he wasn't there all the time for your son and that it was because of him that had happened. This will hit him even more so if your son is his first child or son because your son is the one to carry his name and lead the next generation but now he won't be able to because your husband won't be able to teach him all he needs to know. Your son will grow up in America. He will not know his people or his roots the way he should and THAT will hurt your husband maybe not now but definitely later in life. If he feels regret he will try to make things right with you and your son to prepare himself for his next phase because he has to go into old age in peace so that when the time comes he can cross over in peace. This and how he handled it will definitely be one of his regrets but by that time I sincerely hope you will not care (ie you won't have carried this in your heart over the years) and neither will you be bitter.
But don't go and tell him all this. You just be a lady of beauty and pride - let him be and take care of yourself and your children. Demonstrate dignity to your children. It hurts I know. I'm a woman, I know how you must be feeling right now -- betrayal hurts to the core.
Stay strong, you are beautiful (I saw yoir pic). Believe me there are many decent, honest, faithful men who truly deserve the title "man" (yes even African men lol). Just don't give him the power to turn you bitter. Take this as a lesson learned and proceed with caution.
By the way hun, he probably planned this from the onset. He probably planned to divorce you as soon as he got citizenship and bring his Nigerian wife to America. Babe you were played. Think about getting out as soon as possible before he can leech any more from you. Next time, forget all this bull dust of modern relationships -- a man needs to be a man. HE NEEDS TO BRING HOME THE BACON!!! DON'T EVER TAKE CARE OF A MAN AGAIN!!! You can help out but NEVER assume his role. ancestors still dey punish peopel?Lkmao |

TYPOP: UPDATE on the repatriation thingy. Please, everybody on study visa should take note. It also applies to those whose visas are yet to expire. It is a Q & A page on the Home Affairs website. Thanks for the link Oladayo.
9. Are travellers with valid permits with expiry date beyond 28 February 2015 going to forfeit their deposits?
No, they will claim when their permits expiry or when they have changes status, or have been granted permanent residence status.
10. The DHA has, inadvertently ( or deliberately?) put legal immigrants in a catch 22 situation where they lose if they do, and lose if they do not collect their deposits. It seems strange that immigrant students should lose substantial fees due to an amendment made after they already obtained their permits - Is this not a retraction of their original permits?
No student will forfeit his or her repatriation deposit if his or her permit is still valid and they will only claim when their permits expire at the end of their studies.

CyrusXandria: Your deliverance lies in your hands OP.You are empowered against all powers always remember that.
You have two eyes, you can't have one look up and the other look down. You looking up to a church for your salvation is not the way out.Hold firmly to God.
In my church,we are taught Do It Yourself.I'll advise you firstly empower your faith,if you're a good christian you wouldn't even consider going to a church for some deliverance.
Remember the Centurion said to Jesus,he should say the words and his servant would be healed back home where he was.Have such a faith.Your faith is really weak, work on it.
You probably need fasting and prayer for 3 days.
After the prayers believe that your battles are won, remember Jesus gave thanks in advance of the unseen that's what produced the miracles.
Am not even a bit religious anymore but I know with this, you can work your freedom. what do u mean by "good christian"are there bad christians? |

drealsheggs: Good day all, there is something in my mind that has bothering which is about the development of moving to SA, I have no one there and I am hoping and believing that there will sure be a solution to this my issue, because I want to relocate to SA for good, so I am thinking of applying for a visitor's visa and then extend it upon arrival and expiration of the visa in SA. my fear is that will I be able to secure a job to survive and carter for myself even without knowing anybody and how can I get where I can accommodate myself over there because feeding and housing are very important in man's life until I can be able to manage and then be independent of myself in a little while. I am also interested in becoming a nurse assistant , but while I tried to make some researches , I found some nursing colleges and some of those colleges tuition ranges from R29,000 - 40000, and they requested that some certain amount of the must be deposited and the remaining of the tuition be paid few weeks to the start of the class. but I am been bothered with the cost of tuition, because I don't even have up to that amount presently and I don't know if my arrival in SA, if I can be able to see something to in order to raise a substantial amount of money and later I can then go an apply for the diploma course in nursing assistant. thanks in anticipation of your advise! Cheers. .DON T COME WITH VISITOR VISA otherwise sorry will be your name . Without doubt nursing is a noble career and they are well paid .First of all do you have the basic requirement to be admitted to these schools? ,You have been asking guys to list schools ,the issue is not availability of schools but availability of credentials and money . If u don't have complete school fees don't bother to come because there is no job waiting for you .some months ago a friend told me she wants the brother to come SA and hustle since he is a graduate .I said what field of study and she said Political science and my response was CAPITAL NO . But if you are in one of the following fields :1.IT 2.Engineering 3.Mechanic 4.panel beating 5.Teaching(sciences and Mathematics 6Laboratory science 7.medical field 8 technician_fridge repairs,Ac repairs and so on.9.architectural and etc.You will get a good job but it is not automatic because you must have WORK PERMIT but your study permit gives you opportunity to work for certain hours ..In a nutshell if you don't have practical skills and you re not coming for Masters /Phd Please think twice !What kind of job do you have in mind ? |

New rules make it impossible to extend a visitor visa from SA unless it's the financially wealthy and business owner categories.... Let the gurus confirm it though .100percent possible I have seen few cases handled by immigration lawyer(not agent). They got 3month extension permit for their clients but it is expensive and not advisable .The best thing is to get your long term permit from Nigeria because immigration lawyers charges are very expensive. |

Absolutely wrong no matter how a student put his effort if you have a bad supevisor you will spend 7years or more in Nigeria. gabito4luv: There is this issue that is almost tearing my family apart. We live in the eastern part of the country. My siblings have all graduated and our father is retired, while mum trades. The issue is that she secured loan from her market union some time in the past when we were all in skul- as dad could not shoulder the resposibility considering his meager salary. The loan comes with a very high cost. several years down the line the amount borrowed is now 10x the original sum as she had cause to borrow some more to service interest due in the past- mistake number two. The issue now is that my siblings and I are married and struggling to make ends meet (though a bit comfortable). Mum is yet to stop borrowing just to meet up her obligations which is not abating anytime soon.
Can some please advice us the kids on how to put a stop to this indebtedness as it is really a source of concern to everyone in the family. Bros Please go and clear your mum's debt (pay all once and for all).Do you think your mum is happy to be indebted to market women? Those women can abuse and insult debtors especially when they know she has grown up kids. Afterall this money was used to finance your education .God bless your mum not every woman has such mind to go extra mile to borrow for kids, meaning .Clear the debt stop talking about "principal"it sound annoying and disgusting . when it is time for her to leave this world you guys will spend much money on buying very expensive coffin and celebrate "glorious exit" .Thank God you have decent job ,so put head together with your brother and clear the debt because oweing market women for many years is not something your mum is happy with. Being a debtor can lead to high blood pressure if something is not done. |

preshuzpearl: I have been reading recent comments and I love the responses I see.
Pls can somebody assist in guiding me. I received an admission to study at UCT masters level. This came in September but i had also applied to two other courses in different places and was waiting because I preferred them to the one I was given.
Just yesterday the two of them replied me that my application was not successful. So I have no option than to take the one given to me earlier.
I will be sending the declaration letter to them today but i have a few concerns. 1. Would the school think it is late that I am replying them almost three months later and withdraw their admission? 2. Can I still get a study visa before end of January? Resumption is in 6th February. 3. My dad knows someone who does Visitor's permitbfor his company. Does this count in getting my study permit faster? 4. How do I get medical insurance cover? I don't know anything about it. 5. I didnt need SAQA in getting the admission. Will it be necessary in securing the VISA? 6. The police clearance. Is it compulsory? How do I go about it? 7. How much would I need for the processing and flight? Which flight is most affordable and when is the best time to leave?
Thanks
The vhs office in Abuja where I live is closed for this year. It will be next year before I can submit my application congrats ..Akeem has done justice to your questions .However let me add few things :1.You don't need any agent to secure study permit 2.Your dad knowing someone who does visitor visa is irrelevant and inconsequential to your application 3.Ensure you have all required documents(listed on your admission letter )4.Your resumption is Feb 6 meaning you must be in Capetown on Feb ,it is pertinent to say you apply in Lagos .(Study permit takes two weeks in Lagos but Abuja takes 6weeks plus). While the Embassy in Lagos will inform you the exact date to come for your permit but Abuja usually state "we get back to you"5.Don't meet any police officer for police report .I repeat don't to avoid stories that touch the heart. Simply go to Alagbon you will be charged between 3k to 5k and within 10minutes you get your police report(finger print attached) .Saqa is compulsory document for all foreign students, however some schools in SA don't require Saqa(Capetown uni,Rhodes,Monash, stellenbosch etc) but Embassies will ask .Just as Akeem rightly said get a letter from your school stating clearly that you don't need Saqa to commence study in Capetown University . |
