drealsheggs: Please are there ways to regularize visitors visa in SA legally. I.e wen someone come to SA using a visitors visa, can the visa be changed or extended and thereby making one to stay in SA to live and survive. the reason why I am asking the question is because I want to apply for a diploma program in nursing , but before admission offer is been granted, there are screening exams that will be conducted by the college and if the candidate succeeded in writing the exams an admission shall be granted. but if the person didn't pass the exams , he or she will need to go through a pre-nursing class for at least a year, so I am thinking of maybe I should apply for a visiting visa in this case. please kindly advise me on this? you keep asking the same question even when the answer has been stated before.I said it is possible but not advisable because it takes much documentation and immigration lawyer that handle it wil charge you much .You can't work or study with extended visa ,do the proper thing to avoid "had I known" You suppose come in write the exam and go back to Nigeria ,from there you apply for study permit .It seems you have made up your mind to come with visitor's visa . Goodluck |

rayo2002: Everyone should please calm down. The last update TeHN gave was that they were working with his doctors to start chemo as that would be the same treatment he would be given in India. If there's no additional information yet, what update are you expecting? Babyosisi also cautioned about rep hospitals of so many so called specialist centers.
Chemo is the next step. It seems they are yet to get the estimate of how much the treatment will cost so please take it easy. And for the person saying that it was a mistake getting TeHN involved, very good. I hope u all remember this when the next case arises. My advice to TeHN, don't take any more medical cases please. GOD bless TEHNS your efforts won't be in vain In Jesus name and DJ will be healed in JESUS NAME |

drealsheggs: hello house , my name Segun Adekola, I live in Lagos. I have National diploma in Business Administration from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun state, Nigeria, which I completed in 2012. I want to switch my career and go in to nursing ever since I completed my (ND) program, but since I completed my program in 2012, I am been trying to raise money for the nursing program that I want to go for. but all effort to raise the money as proved abortive , as I am only able to raise #100k which is not even up to what is required by the colleges , presently my monthly take home is #30k in which I have to deduct cost of feeding, transportation cost. and some other indirect expenses and I then manage to save the remaining of my salary. I am using this medium to solicit your financial assistance in any way that you can assist me in order to make my nursing dream a reality one . God bless you all. À bien tôt. search for scholarship almost everyone here are struggling and hustling to stand very well.Thank God you are earning 30k there are guys without jobs .look for scholarship in nursing if i get any information on that i will let you know and lastly Be prayerful with God all things are possible. |

Parasitic: I wrote this as a piece of advice. Kidney failure is rampant this days, its a no respecter of humans, coz it affects both toddler, teens, adults, man, woman, rich or poor. Mostly its are a result of uncontrolled hypertension n diabetes. Its important for everyone to go for medical checkup occssionally. Most times its undetectable until the person is down by then its too late. Its a very costly illness to manage. Infact without cash its a death sentence. So my brothers and sisters let us moderate what unhealthy foods we consume. I was having a sober reflection after series of cases I see today. I am living today is by Gods grace. Thank God for medical advances too. Praise God for you ,pls sir what are the unhealthy foods! |

TYPOP: I am not in UKZN. Hopefully, Sam and others can help.
Sam, if one does not get a supervisor, does that mean they will allocate any staff member in that field to the person or how does it go over here.
I know here, it's better to know who you want to work with (even though it's Masters by research) and then send your application through to the person, including the supporting documentation. The guy should submit his application including supporting docs to the postgraduate officer and mail any staff who specializes in his intended area of study attaching his 2-4pages proposal .(Not compulsory). However ,once you submit your application including proposal the postgraduate officer will forward to the academic leader who assign supevisor based on your area of interests. In a nutshell you don't need to have supevisor before applying ,However some disciplines like Engineering and Education require applicant to get hold of supevisor before admission letter is issued. |

ifemiaji: Hello house.
Thank you for the wonderful work you guys are doing on this thread. I have a question please and know you can help.
I intend to apply to UKZN for my Masters by research in Population Studies. I just concluded my Honours from WITS but cannot do my Masters there due to funding.
My questions are:
What is the application process like? Do I need to write a proposal before applying? Do I need to get a supervisor before applying? Do you know any staff member in Population Studies that you will advise me to work with?
I appreciate your assistance in this regards. God bless .You don't need to have supevisor since it is masters by research .Kindly download the application form, fill and attach your academic documents and 2-5pages of your proposal scan to the postgraduate officer of your field of study .Don't forget to pay R470 for application form . |

mebad: Charle, in my opinion, i would suggest you choose political science. Inter-Rel is too narrow and course curriculum is designed towards a particular ... Pol-science on the other hand, is the combination of social science and inter-rel. so pol-sci is like studying politics, philosophy, economics e.t.c You are very intelligent.what you wrote shows the level of your exposure . @op Political science doesn't mean u participate in politics but you can work in governmental policies formulation and moreover nothing stops you from working anywhere in the world .if you want to limit yourself to Nigerian environment go for int.relations but if you look beyond Nigeria ,pol sc is preferable .Most countries in the world combine the two courses as. Discipline |

dabigbangishere: I don't understand what is happening with South Africa Embassy. I think they are just there to reap us of our hard-earned cash through their visa fee. I have been given visa twice by South Africa which I travelled but I was surprise when I was denied visa on the ground that my documents lack credibility in August 2013. I tried applying again for vacation on the 26th of November 2014 which I didn't get any response till January 5th 2015. I went their and I was still deny with a very stupid excuse. I applied for a visiting visa and I was told "APPLICATION FOR WORT PERMIT DENIED" (please take note of the typo made by this guys). Now, why was I denied visa? I was told that my hotel reservation is cancelled. Why won't the hotel reservation cancel when the application was delays? Well, that is my experience and I want advice. Should I still apply because I was confused and contacted a friend who said they use insiders to get SA visa? How true is this and what can I do? when you collected the visas twice did you use insider? No doubt insider might be involved but that is not the reason for your denial if you have proper documentation without having an insider your visa is sure ..The mindset that without insider you can't get things done is erroneous and absurd .Your last application you did hotel reservation without making any financial commitment so the hotel cancelled your booking .Things have changed now embassy now contact hotels .next time when you apply @least pay a night mayb R200 or 300 depending on the standard of the hotel they will give u a letter signed by the manager to back up your booking . |
