Wow, Sule Lamido isn't holding back, is he? It's pretty wild to hear him claim that President Tinubu actually supported the annulment of the June 12 election and was even "hand-in-glove with Babangida." That definitely flips the script on how many of us remember that time. And saying NADECO was really about fighting Abacha, not June 12, just adds another layer to the story.
Then there's the whole N45 billion debt for the Abiola family. If it's true, as Lamido suggests, that IBB himself confirmed this debt and it played a part in the annulment, that's a huge revelation. It makes you wonder what other hidden layers there are to Nigeria's political history. It's clear these comments are going to stir up a lot of conversations and maybe even force some people to revisit their understanding of those tumultuous years.
