Honestly, I'm tired of wailing.
The leaders we have in power today are starting to irritate me. I'll explain why briefly.

There are very few policy designers and solution providers in power today. It's simply "call and response" or "trial and error"

Knowing that that place is a local business hub that processes tens of millions of naira daily, a lot of items, people, and waste... A well-thinking administration would know that it's a good place to recycle items and collect waste. LAWMA or another agency should make provision of waste management and charge the market - another source of revenue and an easy way to recycle items...

You may not know, but nylon bags, paper bags are banned in Lagos state without a logical substitute. You're going to the supermarket, but you have to go with the item to carry what you're purchasing!!!

Ban this! Ban that!!!


You take the wrong direction without any notice, warning or sign in an environment you don't know, LASTMA/FRSC are so dumb that their first reaction would be to impound your vehicle.

I served in Ebonyi state in Ezza North to be precise just a little less than 10 years ago and I can say authoritatively that there was no single bank in the whole of Ezza North at the time. We had to go to Abaliki before we could make withdrawals. I knew how many kilometers we had to trek just to make a call, we couldn't even receive calls because there were no network. How will REAL TIME transmission of results work in those areas? Or election should not hold in those areas abi?
So, if them ask you no, you go answer say banks dey all local government in Nigeria abi? Dey there.

When I went to Benin by road middle of the year and returned with waist pain that lasted three days due to the horrible roads the cycle was complete.

Let's assume that all of these "slow down the economy, widen the tax net, reduce purchasing power, unify rates, devalue currency, remove subsidy, student loan, power supply by bands", increased custom duty etc., are actually the plans to make this country move forward. Again an assumption!

Administrations as far back as year 2000 have wanted to introduce some of these plans in bits, but Tinubu was like their number 1 critique. Even this man championing the Tax Act criticized previous administrations. Now, he's doing everything at once, as in, every of the agenda, all at once!

What if there was a better time to do it and the better time was years ago?

You made a mistake while trying to explain.

Current way: Beneficiary pays N50 on inflows from N10k and above.

New way (January 1st): Senders pays the N50 alongside other bank charges, if any. The beneficiary will get the full N10k or above. Zero charges to the receiver.
