You may have to pay a visit to the delaying institution to find out if there was an issue with your application or they forgot to work on it

Wow! Writing JAMB in 2020 and applying for regularization in 2024 is quite a thing. I don't mean to scare you by the new law, they may not attend to you.
JAMB discontinued Regularization of admissions after 2017. Your school is supposed to help you out here, but I guess they already have an arrangement with the JAMB office in the same state as your school.

To apply
1. Either you go to the JAMB state office in the same state as your school (not a cyber cafe or registration center) or you go to their Lagos or Abuja office (if you know someone).
2. Tell them you have come to apply for JAMB regularization, and explain the nature of your admission regularization. They'll ask you a few questions after. If they are satisfied with your responses, they will give you a form to fill and tell you the amount.
3. If they decline and tell you to go, don't just go o. Try to apologise, start a conversation that can change the person's decision

How many names do you have on your NIN?
If three, updating your name on your school portal should be faster. Although, I don't know about your school.

Does jamb regularization have a time limit?

JAMB stopped regularization for sets 2017/2018 and after. They expect your school to rectify this, but you know how government-owned schools can be.

I advise that you still go to the JAMB State office (in the same state as your school) and attempt to fix there

Hi, I want to know if the details on the jamb Matriculation portal is what is used in filling my details on my certificate/NYSC, I recently noticed a misspelling on my name on the jamb matriculation portal and have gone through the jamb regularisation process but our Vc is not around to sign the form, this has caused me to halt my clearance fearing that the name on the jamb MATRIC portal will reflect on my certificates.

Your school is meant to use the name on your student portal/ID card except if your school adopts a different procedure.

You still have to rectify your name on JAMBs portal. Change of name does not take time

Please I have a friend, she just graduated with PT program so she was told to do Regularization of which she has done that but now that she discovered error on his date of birth after the datas for Regularization has been submitted online, the date on his Regularization printout is not the same with what she have on is NIMC. She went to Jamb office direct to make correction and she was told that date of birth can not be corrected for her due to the letter “P” at the back of is reg No which means Part-Time. Unless she go to Abuja to do that.

Okay. Has your friend's regularization been approved at Abuja?
If yes, she can reapply for change of data (although, I learnt that they stopped to rectify date of birth)

If no, then she may have to wait until the regularization is complete. I'll tell you why.
1. Change of data is faster than regularization.
2. Some regularization comes with a new JAMB registration number. If such is her case, and she does the change of data now, when the regularization is approved, it may not reflect on the new reg. number.

Did you go to a Cafe centre or to JAMB's state office?
They don't need your portal at JAMBs office. You just fill the form for admission regularization/change of course and that's it. You submit a copy at your school and wait for approval

According to the circular, it says end of regularization for the above sets 2017,2018,2019,2020. Please can any one help

You can still regularize your admission.
Students who got an admission from 2016 and later can't do that. They expect their schools to regularize or they get their admissions through JAMB.

I know this is out of jamb but please I'd like a response if possible. How do I go about my international passport because my international passport has my middle name as nin does but if I remove my middle name from my nin to make it tally with my jamb for nysc,what do I do regarding my passport. For instance,If I'm going to renew it,will they still recognize me as the same person given my nin which used to have my middle name and was used for my passport won't be having a middle name again

If this method works for you to get to camp, a sworn affidavit can work for whenever you'll need to verify that you're the same person on your passport as well as your NIN.... but then, you can change your middle name on your NIN after camp if they will allow

1. The 50/50 thing...
Some times some people get lucky with their registration at camp when it comes to the name thing.
If you have a middle name on your JAMB document/NIN but do not have at school, NYSC will tell you to go and sync your middle name with JAMB and your school. I had this middle name issue,but I got lucky at camp although I did my registration late at night, maybe that's why. I've heard cases of those that were asked to leave the camp and I'm well aware of people who were delayed at camp because of their registration.

If the most important of your documents are without middle names, please, proceed with not including it.

I'm not aware of a letter delaying HQ's approval.
HQ's approval is subject to your type of application and if your school and the state level has approved your regulatization request.


Either ways, don't rule out any option.

I used to have the number for Osogbo because I did mine there some years ago, but I can't find it. Osogbo works by appointment, but you can find your way around it.

You can try your luck by contacting them online, things might have changed, but what I know is that you have to be there physically. Even big private universities bring their students there to fix whatever the issue is.

JAMB Regularization is the process of syncing your data at school with your data with JAMB.
Your admission should come from JAMB, and your course of program on campus should tally with JAMB's matriculation profile.

How to go about it...
There's an official JAMB office in every state in Nigeria. Locate the JAMB office in the same state as your school. Go with the details of your admission.

It cost about N5k to N15k
