Please,I have two questions

1) I am currently in my final year in uni. I made a mistake in registering my name in jamb in the year 2018. I registered my name as Agu-King Chisom. I later found out when registering into uni that my birth certificate name is Aguking Chisom. If I apply for jamb name correction,will I be affected during NYSC as my Nin has a middle name,that is on my Nin it's Aguking Chisom Vanessa

2) I applied for name correction as earlier stated in jamb since 2022. Now I'm about to graduate and they haven't fixed it. My school asked me to write a letter to stop vetting of my name on transcript and certificate because I want my first and last name to at least tally in my docs. I found out after reaching out to jamb support that my school didn't submit the indemnity form they gave me. Do I need to go back to jamb office and reapply again or should I just print out the indemnity form and resubmit to my school?
Also,how long does jamb name correction take?

1. Honestly,NYSC is 50/50 on "accurate first name and last name, but omission of middle name"
When you're registering, just ensure to add your middle name. Your issue isn't your birth certificate. JAMB does not need it. The name on your NIN and school profile is what matters.

2. See the text in bold, I strongly advise this.
You can proceed with any of the options. If you don't mind, I'll advise that you start the application afresh, and get familiar with the contact person at your school to help you submit it to JAMB faster.

Hello , I gained admission through Full time 2021 not on jamb portal but school portal and I was given another course instead of the course that was on my jamb caps. So I tried to do the regularization this year in order to obtain Direct Entry Form, but I was told at the jamb office that they can’t do it for me that I should go to school for them to upload my details. So I went back to my school to tell them and they uploaded my details.Since then, I haven’t heard anything from jamb. And anytime I tried checking the status , it keeps saying that my details has been uploaded on jamb caps that it is being processed by the jamb desk officer that I should check back later.
Have gone to school to complain they said it is not in there hands that they have uploaded my details.
Pls can you tell me what to do in order to get my jamb regularization done coz I don't really understand?

Print out that screen on your portal and take it to the JAMB office in the same state as your institution.
Sometimes, they just say "keep checking," "just wait" etc., if your story is too long, but when they see the print out, the person would understand better.

We all know how those officers can be...

If possible, at the back of the paper, write the date your school processed it, the details of the course, too.

Hopefully, the person would assist to approve it and log it for final approval at Abuja.

A piece of advice... If you can and it's safe, I advise that you go in the morning. They are less stressed at the early hours of the day.

Honestly, the approval at the HQ takes between a week to X months.

If you know people who applied about the same time you did, find out from them. If your case is different from others, go to the JAMB office to lodge a complaint, they will help you check with the guys at Abuja for approval.

I thought the law says 5% for legal fees, and 10% of the rent for agency and agreement, respectively.

Rent for a year is N270k, why is the fees totalling 240k?
Your fees in total should be N100k - based on the N400k up there.

Hi, if I understand you well, the registrar at your school at the time you applied for your regulatization is no longer in-charge.
This is not your concern, but if you're worried about the transfer of your files/case, I would suggest you go to see the new registrar with an acknowledged copy of your submissio. If it has been forgotten or swept somewhere, this new person can easily pick it up and treat accordingly.

Past Registrar as in the previous administration of a JAMB boss? If you're referring to Dibu Ojerinde's name being on your application, that shouldn't be a problem, it's a backlog that should be resolved by JAMB.
At what level is the application pending? You can check this status on your JAMB profile

bro good morning. I did change of name in jamb via my school admissions officer. He printed out the admission letter for me bearing the new changed name. Remember, he asked me of my jamb login details which I have, which used for regularisation. After he printed it out, I logged in to jamb website and can see my name didn't change on the website, but he printed me a changed name with jamb letter head and all. I can see the previous payment of 2500 for regularisation of jamb on the account but can't find the 2500, fee for change of name. He also collected affidavit which I swore from the high court. My question is, is my name not supposed to reflect on the website after the change?

If you've done change of name, your portal should reflect the new name.
You said you saw the previous payment. There is an option to view the USAGE on the JAMB portal. You will see all your payments and what it was used for and the approval. Please, check.

Also, check the "JAMB Matriculation Portal" to see if the change has been effected.

So, your name on JAMB must match with your NIN.
Remember that it's your school that submits the list to NYSC.

The solution is to have your correct name on your JAMB record. The application for Change of name at JAMB's office is about N5k or N6k. I'm not sure, though

What name is on your NIN? The correct name from your school or the incorrect from JAMB?

There has been some development.
1. NYSC does not support addition or removal of names.
2. NYSC uses NIN for verification now. Your NIN must match with what's obtainable on your JAMB matriculation profile. Check your JAMB matriculation profile.
3. NYSC is not concerned about your name at school. Your name with JAMB and your NIN is their concern.
4. NYSCs approach to issues like this is dicey. In some cases, the PCMs get away with it, register at camp then, fix the issue within the first few weeks after camp at the secretariat, but for others, the registration would be bounced.

So, if your school has not submitted your list to NYSC, check your name on your JAMB matriculation profile and your NIN.

If your school has submitted to NYSC, check your name on the official list from your school, check what's on NYSC's portal and crosscheck with your JAMB and NIN.

The year is important, actually.
If they have the record from your school, it won't affect you (at the first stage).
The second stage concerns your school. At this point, your school can fix the error (if the operator detects it). Once it gies well here, you have less to worry about.
