PoliticsRe: Probe Meta, Google, Others Over Alleged Media Exploitation—tinubu Directs FCCPC by SamuelLoch:
Left to these people in power, they don't want any media/news outlet except the platforms in Nigeria that they can control. Why? The reason is simple! To deprive the public of the many happenings today, and to raise easy dollars.

Anyway, the probe is welcome, if it is not biased.
RomanceRe: I Don’t Feel Butterflies In My Stomach Anymore! by SamuelLoch: 6:24pm On Jul 06
You got into the relationship because of an attraction, then sex.
Now, that you've gotten and seen what you imagined, your hormones and subconscious state is at ease. Your conscious state is realizing this and now you're on the fence battling the self-awareness.

Sit down and access carefully. Don't let the flesh and lust lead you. If at the end, you realized that the reason you still like her is borne out of selfishness, please, let her go early so she can heal, move on with life and find someone deserving.

If otherwise and she has the attributes to give you peace of mind and progress, stay committed and look forward to collective prosperity.

There's more to healthy relationships than sex.

Do you know who a governor is in his state? You see many of you don’t understand that there’s need for you to hold your governors accountable of whatever that happens in their various states. he’s getting security votes from the allocation being given to him… if you’re made a leader in a community.. it means that you’re the head of the community.. you should be ready to be held accountable.. I know most of you would put every damn issues on the President but how many states can the president be at a time? The is why the governors are the number 1 man in their various states..

Lemme remind you of the titles again. So you can analyze the chain rule.

A. Governor of Oyo State...
B. President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria, and Grand Commander of The Armed Forces

When Rivers State was in the news, the Presidency called The Governor. Afterwards, the President invited the Governor.

Ezewuzie01:
Demented Peter Obi used to ask one stupid question when he was governor Is Anambra cursed or are we the cause? Little did we know that history will unveil him as the person who is actually cursed. See how he is messing up any party he joins with his cursed presence shocked
If you were smart, you'd know that he's being targeted. From the sentences you wrote up there, I can tell that you're not really up there.

If he joins Sowore's party, issues will erupt between INEC, the court or some people in the party who have shook hands with those targeting him.

PoliticsRe: The Kidnapping In Oyo State Is Political by SamuelLoch: 7:51am On Jun 01
Making such excuses for a sitting president is wild!

If it was political, he had to overlook it even after a citizen was beheaded on camera and kids were tortured... Victims even cried out to him

This excuse is not an escape plan to vindicate his non-chalant attitude. It took a public outcry and a failed media session to see a report of his intervention.
HealthRe: As A Nurse, These 7 Health Mistakes I See Nigerians Make Too Often by SamuelLoch: 11:59am On May 28
I'm really guilty of the poor sleep habits. I sleep late and wake up early. My body is so used to the system that I don't need an alarm to wake up. I only sleep early when I'm weak or about to fall sick.

On the days that I want to sleep for long hours like public holidays or some weekends, it's really tough.

Trust me, I've tried sleep techniques, apps to improve sleep quality and the likes.
On the flipside, I've succeeded in maintaining sleep on Sunday afternoons, no matter how short it is.

Health is wealth guys. Selah!
PoliticsRe: How Wike Gave Fubara The Ambode Treatment By Soibi Versatile by SamuelLoch: 7:23pm On May 21
From the comments, I can tell that this nation has a long way to go. I can't believe this.

Two people came into power and saw abnormalities. For instance, huge amounts of money were moving to accounts of a few people holding the states at capture. They decided to correct the abnormal patterns, but of course, they needed the backing of lawmakers.

These supposed lawmakers are supposed to be in Favour of the state and her people at all times, but no, they answer and follow money and Godfatherism (Money and power).

The cabal decided to kick them out so they don't change things and affect their flow of money, but here are Nigerians celebrating kicking them out rather than investigating and condemning the corrupt system.

One man stole billions of naira meant for a power project, do you think he single-handedly took the money and didn't settle cabals? Do you think that politicians just siphon money without instructions from upper chambers and cabals? Why do you think that when they are arrested, the case dies down after a while if certain people are in power?

Anyway, with this mentality, progress is far.
God bless Babatunde Raji Fashola wherever he is. I hope that Ambode and Fashola took notes and will release a documentary or a book in the near future.
Car TalkRe: Changan Cars Vs 2014 Honda Accord — I Need Your Honest Reviews! by SamuelLoch:
You didn't state the exact model of the Changan.

If I was truly in your shoes, and the Changan is the photo below, I'd go for the Changan.

By the way, Changan is beyond just visible tech and interior. Choose the Honda Accord 2014, if you strictly want the reliability it is known for. Although, you have to insider the history of the car and your maintenence culture

State the model and I'll modify my post.

BusinessRe: What's Happening To Inter Bank Transactions?. by SamuelLoch: 9:07pm On May 13
sholikay:
I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this issue of delays from sending money from one bank to another...
Someone sent me some money yesterday into one of my fintech bank, and it took almost 3 hours before It reflected in my account balance. Today,I gave out my traditional bank account number for a payment from one of my clients, and it's been more than 5 hours, the money is yet to reflect in my account, while the sender has been debited...

I don't know if it's a general issue!..
Cc mynd44
NIBSS is having a downtime with a crucial service called TSQ Transaction Status Query. The service is responsible for telling banks and other financial institutions that a transaction was successful, declined, rejected, failed, etc. Which then helps the bank to process the transaction and settle you the customer in real-time if the transaction was successful.

To save banks from loses, and to reduce the chaos, banks have stepped up to use other means to confirm the status of transactions, then, proceed to settle you the customers. This other service takes a few hours. Hence, the delay in your transaction. A good intervention from forward-thinking banks and financial institution. Kudos to them!

So, if a transaction was successful, you'd be credited but not instantly.
PhonesRe: WhatsApp Privacy Alert? Unsaved Contacts Suddenly Showing Status Updates by SamuelLoch: 5:27pm On May 12
Pierocash:
If the person saved yours, you will see the person's update . You don't determine the update to see, the poster determines it, so once the person saved your contact, whether you saved the person's contact or not, you will see their update if they want you to see it
Yeah! The latter part of your comment is it.

In summary, You would see status updates of people who saved your number.

From your angle, status updates are now shown to your contacts. Those contacts don't necessarily have to save your number to see your updates.

Meta basically replicated their status algorithm on Instagram. It's a good idea for business owners.

So, if you need your privacy back, you can either
1. Delete those contacts in your phonebook, or
2. Exclude those numbers in status privacy
PoliticsRe: Sowore Storms Pastor Sarah Omakwu's Church Over Jabi Lake Park by SamuelLoch: 5:53pm On May 11
It's funny how a lot of people didn't watch the video but were quick to drop comments.

I think it's hightime @seun of Nairaland.com works on an algorithm to filter comments and replies by relevance. This way, the madness with first to comment will be resolved.

We find it fun and relaxing to visit parks in other cities, especially outside Nigeria and appreciate it, but we have a park here that's been snatched away for whatever reasons and no plan to develop it elsewhere, still, we are all cool with it and blaming Sowore.

This was how Landmark was demolished in Lagos and today the place is vacant. Very soon it will be re-allocated. Imagine what the view would look like from the road/train if Landmark were still existing.

I hope that we're learning and thinking about tomorrow.

Co-asking in 2026. Please does anybody have an idea on how to go about this?
If the name on your NIN is correct. Do a court affidavit, keep it handy.

Then, apply for a change of name at JAMB.

The journey is different if the name on your KAMB and institution is correct but NIN is not.

BusinessRe: China Agrees Zero Tariff On Nigeria’s Export From May 1 by SamuelLoch: 10:27pm On Mar 31
This is a good development if implemented. Although, we don't seem to have raw materials to export to China, but this is a good signal to the Chinese to encourage a good trade exchange.

It's also a good signal to other nations looking to collaborate with Nigeria.

It gives a sense of 0% tariff on the raw materials they need, even when they may not get the 0% because China has a long standing relationship with Nigeria and the other counties probably don't have such relationship to leverage on.

Established Statistical platforms shared on Twitter and ranked Nigeria as number 1. Then, this Leadership is claiming that the file is cheaper in Nigeria compared to other countries. Okay o.

The writer/author of that article is definitely finding it difficult to get to work, except if the burden is shared with the company.

N2,000 has always been the game plan. Continue projecting cheap until it gets there.

PoliticsRe: Celebration In Etche, Rivers As Aba Power Connects Them To Power by SamuelLoch: 7:48am On Feb 24
Flangelo12:
As of February 2026, the administration of President Bola Tinubu is actively working on expanding electricity infrastructure to rural and underserved communities through initiatives like the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) and partnerships with new power distribution companies.

Here are the key developments regarding community electricity under the Tinubu administration:

Etche Communities, Rivers State: In February 2026, Aba Power (a subsidiary of Geometric Power) extended electricity supply to several communities in the Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, which reports indicate had been without electricity for over a decade.

Abuja Solar Project: The Federal Government recently inaugurated a one-megawatt solar mini-grid to supply electricity to the Rubochi and IQuA communities in Abuja, benefiting approximately 4,000 households, businesses, and schools.
Rural Electrification Focus: The government is focusing on solar mini-grids and solar home systems to improve access for communities not connected to the national grid, as part of the broader national energy strategy.

General Strategy: President Tinubu has signed the Electricity Act Amendment Bill (2024), which allows states, companies, and individuals to generate, transmit, and distribute electricity, aiming to decentralize the power sector and enhance supply to local areas.
I'm only responding because I wanted you to know I read your response. By the way, this has nothing to do with the supposedly signed electricity whatever. Please, go and read more about it.
