I'll speak for two sides. In this country, just know that there's no such thing as "whistle-blowing policy" If you can't find a trustworthy police officer, or report to an activist like VDM or another person of such caliber, it may be best to seriously apply wisdom. For the woman, she must have noticed something off and that's why she raised an alarm. It's possible that she exaggerated her claims, but a manhunt is a terrible way to handle this. For the NPF, a call/invite for investigation is a better way to put it than a manhunt. There should have been routine checks to the restaurant by now. Maybe three female officers, dressed in mufti will go there at different times to patronize the place like regular people, use the toilets and just observe but I know they didn't do this. It's until someone dies or people die before they swing into proper action. Recall the story of the OAU student that lodged in an hotel at Osun state... If there was a warning video, they would have ignored or penalized the young man because of who the owner of the hotel is, but imagine, the student died, and the public had to apply pressure before the NPF made their move. Similarly, if the lady on the plane didn't have that scuffle and came online to report first, they would say she wants to tarnish the image of the airline company. Acts like this discourages others from escalating to make the nation a better place. Like I said there's no whistle-blowing policy whether in the corporate industry or to government parastatals. Someone reported Wike's moves in secret and they are paying for what was done in secret o. I'm not saying we should believe everything we see on social media, I'm saying similar to when we want to cross a road, look to your left and right and look again before you decide to cross the road. |
SmartPolician:To think that we share this same country with your likes ehn... There's a need for a a major reform. A change of mindset. Please, take it serious I could have done some analysis so you can understand what feats like this especially in academics, and from the younger generation, means for a nation, but I can't do that with you. You'll come from the defensive side that is not open to learning and having a change of mindset. |
zero8zero:Anything that is worth doing is worth doing well... I really wanted to ignore you. I did until I found out that those you're defending went back to do the right thing, even on a much lower budget. You really were defending that nonsense! They knew they were wrong and had to rollout some statement to protect themselves from further backlash. Same thing keeps happening back-to-back, yet we want a better result! Do you think the spokesperson, advisors, delegates, associates, investors, entrepreneurs, etc. to the government you guys claim the President was there to meet would not go around to see things, gather data, exchange contacts, setup meetings and present a report to their government representatives/ bosses. What do you think it would be like in the documentary or photo album of TICAD9? Meanwhile, the president went with key ministers and senior officials. I'm sure you defended the story about a python swallowing millions of Naira. https://www.instagram.com/p/DNnSMi1MbAR/ You, those who hit the like button on your non-sense posts and those you're defending, needs evaluation. May the heavens deliver Nigeria from your likes. Please, think before you type here. Use your head, don't let them use it for you. Finally, I am not your "friend"
|
zero8zero:Please, just cut the crap and take a good listen. I've been noticing some off-progress comments and you're one of the pioneers. Can't you kill several birds with a stone? What's so hard in displaying a TV there and a video showing the infrastructural plans of Nigeria, trade and tourism, technology and innovation or whatever it is they plan to discuss with others. Make the video a loop and have it on the TV. Put a few other stuff there and just two or three people to engage visitors and explain the video. Why is there a stand for Nigeria there and people just come by and it's empty? How much will it cost them? Do you have an idea of how people across the world really want to get to know more about Nigeria? If Nigeria were at that booth, Nigeria would welcome some foreigners days, weeks or months after that event solely because of that encounter. It's also a good PR for the nation. I can suggest more stuff if you and those you're defending will refuse to think and do some little things that matters but, I rather not spend time on that with you here. Please, stop this non-sense. If you want to respond to me with something not in-line with what I've suggested above, don't bother. |
Konquest:I forgot to add that it's more spacious that other corolla models |
Don't let then deceive you o The 2009-2014 model is the goat!!! I love the fact that the attention is not on that model, if not the price will be over the roof. Some of that model sells for 9m - 14m. Good balance, reliable, fuel efficient, less theft record, improved security, more control options, better engine, and a better driving experience. Polls online say the 2019 model has more ratings than others. Modified: More spacious than other corolla models in the picture |
Arostar2023:Have you read about them? Read about the timeline between when they were banned and when they rolled out their OS. You may not understand the process in details, but I'll give you a scenario. It's 2025, Samsung is currently working on thousands of units of Samsung S26, S26+, S26 ultra, thousands of units of Samsung A, J, M and S series, and updates to the existing devices. All of a sudden, Trump says Samsung should be banned from doing business with the US. How long do you think it will take for Samsung to adjust-roll back on the current Android, develop and lunch their OS, test and deploy? By the way, there were more products, features and businesses affected by the ban. IOT is another thing Huawei was leading with in the market. |
Arostar2023:Lol! No company with a large database extracts and use data like Google. No company! China as a country invest heavily in education, research and technology. The businesses there do the same. This west you're referring to travel to Asia to learn or import from Asia/Asians. Like you said, Chinese are smart people. Huawei's growth rate was crazy. If not for this blow by Trump, they would have given Samsung a chase (not run) with their technology. Samsung was the world's largest phone manufacturer. Huawei was the second - producing quality phones, routers, watches and other devices including parts for China, and for other parts of the world. Please read about Huawei as of 2018/19/20 |
Till today I still feel like one of the reasons why the US banned Huawei wasn't solely because of data theft or spying. I think they were scared of their ideas and innovation. Google is constantly extracting data, spying and using the data collected to improve on their existing products as well as launching new products. Apple is doing the same. Samsung is the only device that seems to in a way give users control over their privacy, although, it still uses customers data. Huawei phones are solid! Having used Samsung devices for years, I've experienced Huawei and I love it. In fact, the Huawei mate XT is better than all the Samsung Fold series, all! |
jpmoriarti:You're welcome! I just wanted to point out that your conclusion and your history about Jesus is wrong. You guys claim that Aramaic was what they most likely spoke in the time of Jesus, if this was accurate, then His name should be "Isho" You guys say you won't call him "Jesus" but "Yeshua," but if you research further, you guys are also wrong because Yeshua was translated/shortened. It's like saying "Emma" from "Emmanuel" but some letters changed, too. Like I said earlier, people called Him different names and he was okay with him. Even his disciples called him different names and that didn't stop God from answering their prayers. To throw more light, some people didn't even know His name at all, yet, they experienced Him. Some simply address him as "The Holy One" "Saviour" etc. Do you know why? It's more about the message than the name, but of course, keep it Holy and Sacred. You can give God/Jesus a new name today and He won't curse you. How do you think He started having names in different peoples languages that means The comforter, The healer, etc. during his days on earth? |
jpmoriarti:So who told you his accurate name is Yeshua and Yeshua only? Why can't one translate names, too? People translate and shorten names today. What did Isaiah say about Him? What name did the Angels tell Mary and Joseph to name him? Are you certain it was Yeshua? That Mary and Joseph were Jews does not mean they spoke the language that says His name is Yeshua. No book, scroll or manuscript is certain of that even until today. The Hebrews is a collective term same as The Jews. These people had different languages - Aramaic (that you are most likely talking about - Yeshua), Yiddish, Hebrew, Greek. In summary: 1. English: Jesus (Jesu) derived from the Greek form 2. Greek: lesus 3. Hebrew: Yehoshua - this still finds root tied to the name "Joshua" that has a different meaning for "Jesus" so they said for the meaning of His name, it should be "Yeshua" and some says "Yahweh" 4. Aramaic: Isho - You may want to argue this with your Yeshua. Lol! 5. Other names - Kyrios, Christos At the end of the day, the names mean the same thing, the names are sacred. His disciples called him "Rabbi," "Lord" they prayed and God answered them. It's more of a conviction and acknowledgement that there's a supreme God and He's the Saviour of all. With your analogy, all the names we have in the bible will be changed to Hebrew, Greek/Latin, etc. The text in various translations of the Bible should be return to Hebrews/Latin, etc. How then can people across the world read the Holy Book and have understanding? Should everyone go to learn Aramaic? By the way, when Jesus was on earth, people called Him different names and He was comfortable with it. Even God has unlimited names, at least, He does not have roots to Hebrews only and you guys can't come up with debates about that. All of you will just come up with different things sha. At least, it's His name that you guys are debating, not that He didn't exist or didn't do what they wrote that he did. |
Darknessexposed:You're right but this is still incomplete. The will of the Father is simple, believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and accepting him as your savior, which leads to eternal life - being born again. Then he continued to admonish after: Love your neighbour as you love yourself... In all that you do, do it to Glorify God... Give and live a sacrificial live to build treasures in heaven... Pursue peace with all men and holiness without which no man shall see God (heaven). So yeah, Spyro is not off the cause... About his songs, I'm not God and can't judge him, but as long as the songs are not taking souls away from the kingdom or glorifying the devil, I believe he's spot on. By the way, Im not a fan of Spyro, I can't remember listening to any of his songs from A-Z |
jpmoriarti: ![]() The one who knows the right name but thinks what billions of people know (both dead and alive) is wrong, what is the real name of Jesus Christ, the son of God, brought into the world through Mary and Joseph? So, if His name is not Jesus Christ of Nazareth, then every other name in the holy book, too, is wrong? 😂😂😂😂 Some of una dey muzz me! I'll say it here because I may not have the time to see your mention/quote/reply... If you think that the bible was written by one person and everything there are fictions, something is wrong with you! If you think that the name is not Jesus Christ or Emmanuel (Immanuel), you need to have a sanity test. |
AngelSlay:Thanks. I've tried searching for it but couldn't find it. Can you paste the link temporarily? |
How can I join the community? Searching not posting |
SalamRushdie:Cancel the flight, why? Then it becomes a norm amongst politicians, celebrities, yeyebrities and others. What if it wasn't Kwam 1 and the character was truly a terrorist? So, if you were the pilot you will cancel the flight and have everyone onboard surrender to the terrorist? |
EnglandAmaka:What would it have cost Atiku, Obi and Kwankwaso to team up? 🙄 Just look at the stats in the photo you uploaded! It would have been remarkable, but none of them wants to be the vice president. I really don't know what to make out of it. |
TimeManager:You are only pointing to one thing that has happened a couple of times and we saw playout during the APC primaries. Bribery, corruption, intimidation, manipulation, forceful hijack, etc., branded up in the term "master strategist* Whenever you want to think deep, you yourself will "kiss the truth" |
First, who's giving you the details of the vehicle? I mean the person marketing it to you. 1. How do you verify that it was "bought brand new"? Is the seller an individual or a company? I don't know the ratio, but it is accurate to say over 80% of the vehicles on Nigerian roads were not bought brand new. 2. How do you know the mileage are not tampered with? Are the owners corporate workers? Do the owners own multiple vehicles or just that car? Are the vehicles owned by someone with a family, or are the owners single? Be very careful! If you love mid-range SUVs, the Honda CR-V, and Toyota RAV4 are good options. Nigeria-friendly, durable, good driving experience and good fuel economy reports The 2010 Camry is a good option, but the mileage is quite hard to believe. |
nairalanda1:I said drugs in the same class (Artemether and lumefantrine), you said it's wrong, but same drug, different brand is right. You can call it what you want. The message is the same. Thanks for your input. By the way, all Artemether and lumefantrine drugs are not the same. This includes the Lonart and Coartem you mentioned - you can go check if all malaria drugs are the same, then, quote me. Please, extend your research to other "class" of drugs. Thanks for the health insurance tip. I actually have an HMO that covers my gym, too. |
I really wanted to quote some of you. From the guy on the first page to a known moderator here, and another who claims to be a mother, and others who liked their comments. One day it will be you! You will not be well, your spouse will not be well, your sibling will not be well, your parent will not be well, your wife will want to put to bed, your child will not be well, or your nephew/niece. Then you will understand the rubbish that you wrote today. You think all class of drugs work the same? People have lost their loved ones because of the cost of the drug that is needed. They substituted the drugs in same class and still lost their loved ones. Experience is indeed the best teacher for some of you. Let it be known that I wish no harm |
David is a troublesome person. Davido - Baddest Wizkid - Biggest Olamide - Baddo Falz - Bahd guy |
I've read the article, and it didn't state how they confirmed that he placed a bet. They concluded based on suspicion of an activity during the match that people placed a bet on and won. They were leading against a strong team. The goal keeper "wasted time" gets a yellow card at 64" and they concluded that he placed a bet. What if he's waiting for his team to align, or trying to get his team to prepare for one of the tactics during training, or calculating, or trying to calm the game and let them catch their breath or truly waste time since they are leading. |
Opay told you they can't help you liase with GT? |
Love800:Two wrongs don't make a right. You're wrong about this. |
In his recommendation, the gas expert said that though Dangote has the upper hand, he should embrace collaboration. These people are something else. The level of greed just to end up building houses, marrying several wives, and grooming their children into the same greed is something else. |
This is sad to read! So sorry about this. Don't give up yet, and most importantly, be careful of those asking you for money to help find your car. Most of them can't help you out genuinely, they are just opportunist. |
In a few years from now, the spokesman for Abuja's no. 1 citizen will also write a book (hoping to say maybe 30% truth, cashout and divert the attention of Nigerians). The media dn publicity spokesman of the no. 1 citizen of Nigeria will do the same, too - say only 30% of the real truth during their governance. One day, Nigerians supporting party and everything (whether logical or not) that their party leaders are doing will realize that they are not regarded at all. They are nothing but tools in the hands of their party leaders and representatives. Recall that this same narrative played out in Lagos state recently. Someone formerly in Lagos State government gave an account of what happened during the military action at the End Sars Protest |
Whoever wrote this report for Punch deserves some accolades. This is a good read and a well-detailed report of the football match. Chelsea is playing an entertaining football match. We hope that they will build on this energy across competitions next season. |
musicwriter:Some of una dey muzz me sha! So the book you want him to read is not written by "some human" (black/white)? You know better than the Holy Books? Lemme just say this here, The Bible was not written by any White Man. Go and read about "Scrolls" and "Torah" There's no relationship between a snake and the devil, really?! Even in the days of Moses, they knew that snakes and the devil had things in common - brutal, clever and cunny creature. In fact, it was recorded in the Bible that they referred to "Snake" as "The Devil" Revelations 12:19. "Snake is an ancient African symbol..." When was Africa formed?! Same Snake was used as a symbol for mercy and healing by Moses. |
Wisewriter:You really had to lead the pack! One day, all of you will realize that you're just coming up with different excuses by using the term "marginalization" and it is affecting the growth of the nation. Tribe, religion, character, region, etc. |
Kingdavid579:You've summarized it. A few years ago, I decided to start educating undergraduates about JAMB Regularization (on and off Nairaland) because I was a victim. My case was similar to this guy's. Wrote Jamb, did POST-UTME, passed, but switched course (not my will). The switch was not perfected well, then I had serious issues as soon as I finished year 4. I couldn't go for service until after 3 years of my final paper. My convocation was 2 years after my final paper. I'm talking about a top 3 FG tertiary institution! |
