Politics › Re: Akwa-Ibom Vs Cross River: Which Is The Most Peaceful State In Nigeria? by samuelson06(m): 8:56pm On Aug 29, 2025 |
Hedonisco: Very close call. But I'd choose Calabar over Uyo because it has a lower cost of living. But both cities are just something else. Cleanx very good roads. Serene and chill. So many young fine and nubile babes (tertiary institutions na water), and enough hospitality/fun spots without too much madness or violence.
If you have 2 billion in slush funds and want to retire to a life of peaceful debauchery in Nigeria, where everyday is a holiday, then there's no better place than Calabar or Uyo.
Very underrated places. No be that rubbish, overpriced, overrated Lagos way those people no go take let us hear word. Cost of living in Calabar is worse than Uyo. Don't just argue it. |

Dpharisee: Nairaland can actually affect someone's mental health especially if you start the day reading comments from those dominant forces that occupy almost every thread that makes it to FP. They attack anyone who says something they don't like about the Govt and make the site almost depressing with their bigotry. Countering them leads to immediate ban from the bot. Like I tell people, once in a while take a break for one week from here for the sake of your mental health.
Regarding this topic if this young man had spent all the years he has put in trying to prove that Tinubu is his biological father to polish himself in a particular field such as Tech, Medicine, Music, business, academia, sports, politics and become successful he would have had easy access to him through intermediaries to find a way of explaining to him if he recalls having an affair with his mother, he could even get a DNA through Tinubus other children by making friends with any of them.
In reality no big man wants to claim a weather beaten son he didn't know existed who looks like he is looking for a means of survival, this is the harsh realities of life Block the miscreants and keep blocking them. That way, you can maintain your sanity. That's what I do and preach. |

blaise26abj: How do you empower a 3-16 year old ? Give them jobs or foodstuffs? Empowerment is for adults . Developmental projects are for the next generation . Anything you empower will be destroyed by a future uneducated generation . I'm not in any way saying what he's doing is wrong. All I'm saying is that there's serious hardship in the land, especially among the class of people he's building the library for. Remember, many rich kids don't use public libraries. It's the children of the middle and low class that use public libraries. Meanwhile, you can directly empower a child of 15 or 16. For others, you empower them indirectly through their parents. |
Romance › Re: Girlfriend Dies In Boyfriend's House: How Best To Deal With This As A Man? by samuelson06(m): 9:35am On Aug 25, 2025 |
In ideal situation, the law is blind. The law wasn't there with you to witness whatever happened. So, you'll have to prove beyond reasonable doubt that you're not guilty of murder. If you were married, it becomes less a problem but when you are not married and sh!t happens, you're in trouble, especially when your innocence can't be ascertained.
I'd advise that if you guys are in love, go and see her parents and do the preliminaries if you don't have money to satisfy everything. Let her family know you for real. That can lessen your troubles if anything happens while she's with you. Otherwise, don't let her sleep over in your house and pray nothing happens while she's there—whether she slept over or just visiting. |

The problem with studying one thing and ending up doing a totally different thing is that you'll hardly move up the career ladder in your chosen career because you don't have a background there. Banks intentionally exploit this loophole so they can keep their staff in one tiny spot—doing so much and earning little. I wouldn't advise anyone go this route. It's always limiting because your employer will always use that weakness to exploit you. |

Do people really need library in Nigeria—a country ravage by poverty? Do you read with an empty stomach or unstable mind? I think what the people needs right now is empowerment—not necessarily a library. We can also read from Google using our smartphones. |

franchasng: Yes I have been given options on kdp to turn some of my kdp books to paperback, is there anything funny there?
Do you want me to show you a proof with a screen shot of my kdp account?
For your information, I started writing from when I was in Primary school and started monetizing my writing around 2009 via blogging on some foreign platforms where we earned via affiliate links inserted on our articles.
You won't understand lol Don't prove anything to me o. I'm just putting it to you that if you've been writing since 2012 as you claim, you won't say that. If I may ask, how much do you price your eBook? |
Literature › Re: Reflection On My Amazon KDP Journey And Ban by samuelson06(m): 5:50pm On Aug 24, 2025 |
franchasng: You can still earn from your ebooks if you are sure you own them completely and not copied from copyrighted materials.
If you want to still earn from those books you wrote, and you are sure they are 80% your original work, I can guide you on how and where to publish them again and even make more sales than you made on Amazon.
But before you proceed, reflect back and check if you did anything wrong or used any shady method during your writing process.
I speak because I started publishing on Amazon kdp as far back as in 2012/2013 and I have been earning constant passive income from there, and three of my books made bestseller at some period and my account have never been banned or had issue but instead kdp have invited me several times to turn my Kindle books to paperback.
So there is something you did, think deeply KDP invited you to turn your Kindle to Paperback? And you say you've been writing since 2012? There's a serious disconnect 6 Likes |

Truly election have consequences.
This man forgot the things that made America the Uncle Sam and the Big Daddy it is.
This Orange colored man forgot the things that made America the greatest nation on earth. A nation that was built on immigrants.
Can Donald Trump and his fellow Orange colored fellas do the whole jobs in America that made American economy flourished for decades now?
You are pursuing migrants working at American farms for peanuts because they know their status, most of them live in the farms working their asses off to feed the American population and produce raw materials for hundreds of American firms. This man forgot all these, but keep chasing wind.
I am sure Elon Musk realized he made a huge mistake supporting this man to power, reason he quickly backtracked as a very smart and wise man he is FYI, Elon Musk left because of his business, not because he stopped supporting Trump. Both men are still friends. Recently, he donated $15M to Trump. Get your facts right. |

We can't afford it. An average adult now spends at least 60-70k monthly to stay alive in Nigeria, and it's not even as if it's easy to make the money. O Tinubu Nigeria! I weep for you |
