There have been some misteps in revenue drive by this administration.

As much as possible, the administration must engage stakeholders before rolling out some policies. They can leak the idea to the press to gauge public mood before rolling them out.

If they exhaust engagement, the likes of Obi and Atiku won't be able to find things to challenge and the administration won't suffer the ignominy of making reversals. Very soon, the media would chronicle the reversals.

At this time, President Tinubu does not seem to have a Chief Economic Adviser. Buhari operated without one until he set up an economic advisory body at the dying days of his administration that could not remedy the Buhari mess.

President Tinubu, you need an economic advisor now. Someone who fully understands development economics. We also need to stop the craze for FDIs and needless junketing that bring no useful results until we fix our internal issues. No one will invest in the current climate of flip flop policies.

Banks are declaring profits that we cannot seem to justify. The guy in Ministry of Steel says he needs $2billion dollars to fix Ajaokuta Steel Mill. Can't our banks or a consortium thereof declaring strange profits finance these deals and can't we find local technology to revitalize that place? If we don't have the technology, how about hiring internstional consultants to teach our engineers?

Also, why is Akpabio complaining about illegal mining and foreigners making more money than Nigeria? Its like the National Security Adviser openly complaining that security is getting worse. What are we doing there?

Can't we also get the stupendously wealthy to mine our resources for us? Why is Dangote not involved in mining? The guy in BUA, Tony Elumelu? Must we bring in foreigners to mine our resources? Does that not create a security problem?

I hear that local politicians, religious leaders and thugs connive with the foreigners to illegally steal our resources. The Chinese, Lebanese and francophone West African nationals are the worst culprits. Who has been jailed or deported?

President Tinubu, Nigeria is bleeding on all fronts. Crude oil theft is rampant. Let us find ways to plug these leakages and let government revenue get to the government and be used for public good.

I see no reason why someone stealing our crude oil or illegally mining our resources is alive. Wipe them off the face of the earth and show no sympathy, whoever they are.

Finally, it is not right to want to put more pressure on the citizens right now. The government needs to talk to itself too.

We need financial restructuring.

Same thing here. I lost three interviews because of being a Nigerian. They'll select my CV and send my name to their recruiter but the moment those recruiters know I'm a Nigerian, it ends there.

One even promised to send me money to set up an office but it never worked. I don kuku dey do YouTube now. I won't be applying again. I know how I felt by then. I don't want that feelings again.

Hello boss, the problem isn't over. I'm sort of confuse sef. I found the component (see attached) and realized the blade lifted from where it should make contact as seen in the picture. So, I took it to a technician for soldiering. I ensured he used an original led wire to solder it, then I inserted back the unit and it worked, but before I drove from the guy's place to my house the blade had separated from the contact again and the plate/mirror area was sort of hot. What could be the problem?

Last year, I sought the opinion of Nairalanders concerning my plan to move to Australia.
My major worry was my age (48) and also considering that my net salary in Nigeria was a little over a million Naira per month as the financial controller of a manufacturing company in Onitsha.

3. Rallying around and voting useless politicians during elections, then expecting positive change.

The state of this nation today is as a result of many Nigerians continually voting useless people into leadership positions. For some of us, when we put 8 years of Buhari and another 8 years of Tinubu, we'll be losing 16 years of our life achieving nothing. Even Jonathan's tenure was still rubbbish and that's like 22 years.

At the state and other federal political positions, the story is the same. We still keep voting useless people to represent us. How long are we going to continue this way?

2. Night travel in Nigeria.

Here's another one the dummies of Nigeria keep doing. They pretend as though everywhere is cool or they are untouchable. As rife as insecurity is in Nigeria, you'll still see people jumping into a vehicle in the name of night journey. It appears dogs gave birth to these set of people because they got no brains. There's absolutely no justification for embarking on a night journey in Nigeria. This is a country that's fill with thorns.

Even during the day, it's hard to identify who's a Police or criminal on the road, yet you mount up on the same road at night. Are you okay? Don't just complain about transport fares because you know you can still pay for the trip during the day, which may not still be safe but at least manageable.

Every time I read that some Nigerians are still doing certain things which I consider to be fool!sh, my heart bleeds. I mean, we are all Nigerians and we were all born here, yet we still behave as though we don't understand the country.

How long for God's sake will it take an average Nigerian to understand their country and adjust accordingly?

So, here we go.

1. So-called graduates traveling long distance for NYSC.

I mean, this is the most painful of all. These are people you'll assume are knowledgeable because they've spent some years in the university. However, many of these guys have learnt nothing.

How can you come from the South, especially, SS/SE and you print your call-up letter, and it shows somewhere in the North, then you begin to park your things and journey to the North in today's Nigeria in the name of NYSC? You must be mad. You've learnt nothing being a Nigerian since birth. Your parents probably have learnt nothing too because they are supposed to stop you from embarking on such a near-suicide mission.

First, there's no one Nigeria and you are not going to enjoy your stay as a Southerner in the North. You won't be loved. Up there, they bundle SS and SE together, because they are all Christians and share similar faces. Pray they don't look for a way to start their religious trouble, else you are gone. So many corpers from the South have lost their lives because of religious violence in the North.

Again, traveling from SS to the North is like journeying through the wilderness. You'll have to pray against kidnappers in the SS, unknown gunmen in the SE, armed robbers as you journey through SW, herdsmen as you cross Abuja, herdsmen again and Boko Haram as you journey through the North to your PPA. If from the SE, you still face similar risks.

All of these for a national service that guarantees nothing after 12 months; a national service that has no depth. Everyday in the camp is parade, SAED, and other fool!sh things. Shortly you leave the camp, then it's teaching JS1 to SS3 students in a private secondary school in exchange for 5k naira monthly. Many private school owners are totally depending on this cheap labor provided by corpers. Good luck to them. Who wouldn't want to take advantage? Some would even want to select corpers based on gender. I still remember going to a school and the school owner insisted on only male corpers. Meanwhile, she's a female. These are the people that makes the most profit from the NYSC.

That's by the way. Now, if you are from the SS/SE and you are posted to the North, you should turn it down. You may just be embarking on a journey of no return because of a so-called national service. Right now, I don't know if the prospective corpers from Akwa Ibom kidnapped by herdsmen on their way to the North have been released. I doubt. Sadly, kidnapping is a normal thing there so the FG is probably seeing it as one of those daily northern thing.

This so-called SERAP should be disbanded. They've been useless. They haven't won any case.
