Isco and Vasquez have been largely inefficient and confused so far. I expect Vasquez would be taken off at half time for Benzema, and Ronaldo would switch to Vasquez role and find more space.

We still need Vasquez to stretch the flanks. Normally, Zidane would pair him with Asensio to do the damage in second halves but it might not happen this time, as much as I'd want it so.

Bale might likely be introduced in place of Isco to allow for more pace and attacking strength. Asensio might be brought on if Zidane does not introduce Kovacic into the midfield.

Ronaldo has got to find his mojo in this game and he can only do that with attacking minded people on a flank and at the centre.

This game is very tactical as both coaches are very weary of conceding early in the game. The fact that Ronaldo is playing as a point man shows Zidane has had to sacrifice an attacker to further bolster the middle and deny Bayern the opportunity to playing their free flowing football.

The midfield is profusely bleeding. Isco isn't doing the work of Benzema and it would affect the centre trio tonight.

I'm seeing an uncanny comeback. Liverpool has done their best. The second leg would be in Italy. For staunch followers of football, it won't be hard to figure that Italian teams hide their flaws and delight in the frenzy of their fans. The margin is three now. Roma would need to work on their back line and midfield ahead of the second leg.

All is not cast in stone as it stands.

That second goal was Messiesque and that is what Mane should have done when he was one on one with the keeper SMH. Kudos to Liverpool and Mohammed Salah!

The lust for attack is admirable but this Liverpool team would need to do a whole lot better to beat/contain Real Madrid. Their midfield, for a start would need to be charged, else, Modric and Kroos and possibly Casemiro would roam freely and keep the back line on their toes. A free midfield for Madrid means a free scoring Ronaldo.

Nah... Salah thrives when teams have defence issues. With Ramon back from suspension and the rest of the back line excluding Nacho who might miss out, I don't see how Salah would have a field day when his team ought to keep Ronaldo, Asensio, Marcel, Kroos and Modric.
